"Useless for play but very realistic looking"
I bought these for my children (7 & 10) along with the Clone Wars "dual" game. The design is poor and prevents the wiimote from registering so they are useless for this game, which is too bad because they are very cool and would have made the game experience that much better. I'll be returning them.

"looks great but hampers some gameplay"
There's no argueing these sabers are the best star wars replicas for wii
sadly the most comfortable place to hold them is the rounded part by the power button. This would be fine if the wiimote slot was as round but it's not and is made worse by needing to press buttons other than the gun trigger
in lightsaber duel. This accessory is best suited to dragon quest where you simply swing it around or the upcoming wii sports resorts.

A 10 for cool factor but a 3 for usability. Had lightsaber duel let you
block and attack by the position of the saber and had jumping and movement on the numchuck this would've been alot better but nintendo kept wii motion
plus to themselves which woul've allowed for this.

"Good idea but needs improvement..."
I received this saber pack as a gift along with the Clone Wars game. Having played the game once before with only the wii remote, I knew how the game play should have been. Upon using the sabers as instructed, I found the game play was severely reduced. I needed to swing the remote numerous times to register it on the screen and got beat by the computer in the mean time. However, I took the batteries out of the sabers but kept using them and the game play went back to normal (or pretty close to normal). I sacrificed the glowing red and blue saber to get better game play but still got to use the sabers. If kids want to play each other I'll put the batteries back in for the glowing effect. They'll have fun either way. But to have a real fight simply take the batteries out. I'm sure they'll re-design it later on so there is no interference. I would still buy this again even knowing the flaw.

PS ~ Don't stand to close to your opponent.

"Save your money"
These look great but as a controller for the Wii they are a total waste of money. They are heavy and the poor response from the controller makes it virtually unplayable. Pass.

"Avoid this product"
This is a cheap, poorly designed product that is not worth purchasing and wisely avoided. I purcased it for my 6 year old to use to play with the Wii Clone Wars game, which is one of his Wii favorites These light sabers do not allow the Wii remote to function properly to control the light sabers. My son found that the remote and the nunchuck were much better with the Clone Wars game. I tested it and confirmed his opinion. Aside from this lack of functionality, the blue and red "colors" to the light saber are just cheap plastic wrappings that fly off when the light sabers are used.

What our customer's say!

"Do Not Buy This Product!!!", They do not work. When you put the controller in the lightsaber it blocks the front of the controller so the wii doesnt pick it up...so in short in makes no sense why they even made this product. So I had two very disappointed boys on Christmas Day because of this. Do not buy this product!!!

"Look cool, but don't work", I really wanted to ignore the reviews I'd read and think that it must just be user error which caused these light sabers not to work, so I went ahead and bought them for my boyfriend thinking that surely they'd work for him. Unfortunately, they didn't. They do look really cool, but the sensor bar of the wii doesn't even come close to picking up the moting of the wiimote when inside the light saber. Save your money, and just play with the wiimotes.

"Fun but with Flaws", Thrustmaster Glow Saber Duo Pack
These look cool and are fun but they have their problems. They are just a but heavy. I am a big guy 6'2" 250lbs and I find them awkward maybe easier if you take the balade off. They are the best looking and for a Star Wars fan they are a cool little item. They light up great. So for game play it will effect your game but I am sure like real sword play it could be learned over time.

"Thrustmaster Glow Saber Duo Pack", The "light saber" is basically a small flash light that encases the Wii numchuk. At the end of the flashlight is a clear plastic cone that has a red/blue plastic sheet over the plastic cone. Since it is just slipped over the plastic cone it slides off if inverted or moved quickly. Neither one of the flashlight light sabers worked after trying new batteries (twice). This is junk and my son is very disappointed in this product. Don't waste your money on this! Thrustmaster Glow Saber Duo Pack

"Defective out of the box! Poor design, and poor quality, poor construction", One of the the light saber (blue one) did not work coming right out of the box At first, I thought all of my batteries were dead but after I kept changing new batteries and then swapping batteries between the red and the blue, I determined that it was the blue one that was bad. It was very frustrating. I contacted the seller to return the product for an exchange or refund but got no response. Very disappointed in the quality. Also the assembly is tedious and the two light sabers somehow have different designs and they are very heavy (especially for kids)

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Disappointed...doesn't register swinging action", Though ascetically these are very cool, you are limited to the uses & interaction w/ the game. With the controls attached, you can use the buttons, but...

it doesn't register when you physically swing the saber.

The whole point of purchasing these was to play Clone Wars Light Saber Duels. With the remote plugged into the saber, all you can do is run around, glow w/ the force, jump, but not swing your character's saber. What's the point?

Save your expectations & buy a pair of toy sabers, get the same use out of them...and are probably more durable.

"Too heavy and awkward", My son got these for Christmas and while they looked cool and are a great concept, they manufacturer just didn't execute well. They are too heavy and are not comfortable in your hand. My son took the remote out after only a few minutes and they are back in the box. Luckily one of the sabers didn't light up, so I'll be returning them.

"Fun and works with Light Saber Games. Not very durable however.", I found these fun to play with, both using The Force Unleashed and Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels. However, they are weighted a lot toward the blade end of the handle and it makes it awkward for small players. My daughter, 7 yrs old, was too small to hold it well and complained of it being too heavy. I didn't have an issue.

The Wii controller fit into each snuggly, and however you lose some of the pointer functions in the initial Wii Menu, you can simply pop up the controller to use the menu. The menu and function operations are unhindered during game play because you can use the buttons on the controller and nunchuck to manuever through the game menus.

Unfortunately after 2 days of playing one of the saber handles snapped while swinging it. The weight at the end is too much for the thin plastic that fits along the sides of the controller. Too bad Thrustmaster didn't engineer this better.

"CONSUMER ADVISORY!", Please be advised that this product will not work with a Wii system with 100% functionality. The product was not properly designed to allow a standard Wii remote to "communicate" with the Wii system. When the Wii remote is inserted into the lightsaber, the pointing device (sensor) at the top of a standard remote becomes completely obscured by the lightsaber's battery compartment (see product image). This results in a blocked (or very weak) signal from the Wii remote. The resulting effect is that the Wii system/games can not detect the user's movements rendering this product useless during actual gameplay.

"Nice but hard to control", I bought this Saber Duo pack for my 14 and 10 year old boys to use for the Wii Force Unleashed. The game it self is fun to play and prety easy to go through the levels. But the boys seem to like to play without the sabers. When I asked why? They told me that the sabers were too hard to control, and you have to wory about the weight of the batteries too (each need 3). So they'de rather play with the regular Wii controls. But they like to play with them when they play against each other. I realy don't recomend it.
