"Unable to play it yet. Received it not workable", We have not been able to play the game. Disc 4 is defaulted when you try to load the game. Called for support. Was told a new disc will be delivered to our house. Never received it.


"Has uploading issues, STILL waiting for the replacement disc", My son has been counting down the days until this release, driving me absolutely insane ;) First, it was not released on the date originally indicated, this happens sometimes, not a big deal. So I ordered from Amazon to deliver when it finally DID get released.
The game was waiting for us when we got back from vacation and my son was so excited! Unfortunately, I can't give an acurate review on the fun factor of the game due to the fact that once we began uploading it, there was a failure on the third disc. I called the number indicated on the Zoo Tycoon website, and they were closed. So I tried again the next day. I was told that the third disc had been burned incorrectly, so it was actually a duplicate of the second disc. They "will be happy to send us the correct disc and we should receive it in 5 - 10 business days." On the eleventh day, we called because we still had not received the promised disc. At that time we were told "it just shipped out today and to expect it in the next 5- 10 business days". So the game that was supposed to be released on September 30 still is not in our possession on the 2nd of November. Needless to say, my son is dissapointed, but has learned a valuable lesson in "rolling with the punches". I hope the game is as good as he's expecting. I know he thoroughly enjoys the other Tycoons, so here's to crossing fingers!

"Remediated Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Software Issue", I purchased the Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Collection upon release and had the same installation problems. I called Microsoft and today I received a complete new set of disks. It took about 15 days to recieve the disks. Microsoft says 10 days. Upon reciept, I was able to promptly install Zoo Tycoon Ultimate. The Microsoft Technical Support stated that the issue was that Disc three was really a mislabled Disc 2. If you go to your computer and select your DVD/CD icon with the faulty Disc 3 in the drive, it will read ZTD2 or something similar. My kids have not played it yet, but I am sure they will be very excited.Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection

"A lot of time spent on resolving the issue with this game", As with everyone else - disc 3 was defective. Amazon shipped me out a second game, and it still had the same problem. Microsoft did send me another disc 3 at no cost and it works fine and my son is having a blast. But it did take me over an hour with the Microsoft representative to figure that the original disc 3 was bad and by then, it seems Amazon would have known that most customers would be unable to install disc 3. It took approximately 5-7 days (Microsoft says 10-15 business days) to receive the other disc from Microsoft. I feel Amazon should have pulled it from their inventory or put a hold on it until the issue was resolved. I think everyone should receive some sort of price adjustment or credit either through Amazon or Microsoft. This game wasn't inexpensive and to not be able to play it for a couple weeks after purchasing due to the issues it had and the time it took to be resolved, it only seems fair.

"Help for you all", So from what I've played of this game on other people's computers, it is really fun. I ordered the game and like you all had the issue with disc 3. I googled the problem and was told on every website to call Microsoft's service center. The woman I talked to was extremely helpful and nice. I was not charged anything at all, she solved the problem right away and will be sending a replacement disc as soon as it is back in stock. Amazon cannot send any exchanges sooner than November, or any retailer for that point, because Microsoft is out of stock and in the midst of producing more. Call them at 1-800-360-7561 and push 0 to talk to a representative right away. All you need is the part number (number on the bottom of the box on back that starts with x) and your address. I can't wait until mine comes!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Very Disapointing ", Like everyone else disk three won't load. What's most fustrating is that the only way to get awnsers is to pay microsoft $35 dollars. It is just completely unworth it. If they don't address the problem soon I am returning it.

"Installation Problems", I bought this for my 8 yr old son. Paid next day shipping and carried it from the US to India.

As many have already seen, the 3rd disk did not install. Getting a refund is the least of my woes. Watching the sheer disappointment of my son who was waiting excitedly for 2 weeks for this was very upsetting.

It is ridiculous that Microsoft did not do a BASIC installation test before shipping this out. Is anyone at Microsoft going to address this and give us a solution please???

"Sadly Defective", Unfortunately we too were unable to load disk 3. We have returned it, Amazon saying it will not be exchanged but refunded.

"Game will not install But call Microsoft for disk 3 !", {UPDATE 10-14-08} All the Zoo Tycoon 2 titles are included but as the others have stated, DISC NUMBER 3 WILL NOT INSTALL. However, if you call them {no support fee either} at 1-800-360-7561 they state they will replace product no charge. No time frame was stated. I asked for replacement because game series is so good. Hopefully they will resolve issue{s} and replacement will be forthcoming. UPDATE:10-14-08, Microsoft says TWO identical disks {disk 2} were packaged in the game instead of 1,2 and 3. Call the 800 number, I was assured they were working on getting disk 3 produced and sent out to everyone who makes a request.

"Cannot load disc 3", We are having the same issue. We just received another set from Amazon.com - and have the same issue, Disc 3 will not load.
