Others say...

"Not a good option for your daughter!"
Although this game is promising in being based on a classic Nancy Drew mystery, the game play is boring, the story is completely linear, and your daughter will finish it before you exit city limits on your next family vacation.

The navigation controls are confusing as you search the house at Twin Elms and the grounds around it because you have limited viewpoints and it is easy to miss areas unless you concentrate on the map. This was how Myst played - in 1993, which is like the Dark Ages in videogame history!

Worse, the game offers no challenge, is criminally short, and the idea of replayability is pathetic (do it faster!). You must find randomly generated items from lists 6 characters give you, then play 3 brief and non-challenging mini games to beat the game. If this takes you more than an hour, you're not trying.

Too bad Nintendo and THQ are trying to profit on such shoddy product these days.

"This game is plain awful"
This game is terrible! Playing the first few minutes of the game sets you up to think that it will be a nice, medium length game. In fact, this has to be the shortest game I've *ever* played. I completed it in less than half an hour. And it's not even that the game is super easy, it's just a really short, boring game. The whole idea is that Nancy solves the mystery by finding lost items. That's all you do, wander around, click things, and if you find an item YAY! The end did have one puzzle, although it was very fast and boring too.

The end was also very fast. Nancy didn't even solve the case herself. She and a Police offer go up to the attic and find the bad guy. he gives a lame excuse and the game starts over.

The whole game is extraordinarily fast, boring, and a complete disappointment.

"Too Short..."
This game had so much potential. I liked searching for clues, but its over before it starts. The play is original, better and less redundant than the other Nancy Drew DS games, but its gameplay to way to short.

And the rankings??? Curious as to how they based this. I can complete the entire game in 20 - 30 minutes and I still my rank is mid-level and I can't get my rank to the highest level.

It solves itself at the end and I originally thought I accidentally shut my DS off by mistake when I saw my screen back at the beginning.

There are easy ways to miss entire play segments because you can find things before they are requested, thus completing a task without knowing it.

Sad. The whole thing is sad.

i love nancy drew games,but out of the ones i have played so far, this is the worst! the story line was dumb the controls where stupid and i finished it in an hour! not worth the money!

"Not the best Nancy Drew Game"
I've played all three of the Nancy Drew DS games and I have to say that this one is the least fun one I've played. The plot was sorta interesting and I enjoyed the graphics - the scenery was nice.

The problem, though is in the gameplay. The puzzles are not challenging, just boring. The final challenge was boring and probably lasted less than a minute.

The best game of the three is the first. Fun and didn't require a walkthrough to finish. The second game has much harder puzzles and sadly requires a walkthru to finish. At least this game does not require a walkthrough to finish. It is fun game. It just doesn't rank well when compared to first game which I really liked.
