"Great for Soul Calibur and other fighting games." There's really no other choice when it comes to arcade fighting sticks for your 360, this is it. The controls are responsive, the unit itself is quite sturdy, even after my wife played on it constantly mashing the buttons as fast as she can, the buttons hold up well. No complaints on it although wireless would be nice, but not necessary.
"Arcade Action" I think by far and away the most important thing to have with a video game system is a good set of arcade joy-sticks. Unfortunately for 360 owners this means you better like these sticks. The good news is there is not much to hate. I am by no means a fighter specialist or a champion tournament player. However, I enjoy my fighters and so do my friends and family. For us the Joy-Sticks worked perfectly. We were able to enjoy SC4 with no hiccups and beat the snot out of each other virtually. Even our 4 year old and our 10 year old were able to button mash their little hearts away on these and they held up good. The one thing I can say for sure is Microsoft at least licensed a decent product for the game. So if you could use only one joy-stick this one passes the test for sure.
"The review" First off I would like to say something nobody else has seem to notice yet. The xbox 360 version of this arcade stick has no turbo switches. The ps3 version does. :/ Having said that this should be a second controller for any serious xbox 360 gamer. The gate on the stick is square and works great on every game. It's a bit loud but that doesn't bother me. You'll notice everything about this stick is top quality especially since it's made by hori. The buttons are concave and the stick is a cherry. Both notorious favorites in Japan. While I'm not a huge fan of the buttons I prefer the convex since I slide my fingers it's still works ok. Overall great stick that will hold up even longer than your xbox 360 controller. If you want authentic arcade feel this is the only way to go.
"could be way better" overall the stick is good, but after only 3 weeks my X button began to fail. Now it only works half of the time. Looks like I'll be moding this stick with better buttons sooner than I thought!
"Pretty decent stick for the non-elitist" I find this is a pretty good arcade fighting stick overall. It's not as good as my old Street Fighter Anniversary stick on the PS2/Xbox - it's a lot clickier and a different feel - from what I hear it's the square plate underneath.
Some of the fighting game elitists will say the stick sucks and recommend a 100+ or custom-built stick. I don't think that's the case. I think this is a perfectly serviceable stick. I find the diagonals are a little touchy once in a while to hit, the buttons are serviceable, and it's miles better than an Xbox controller.
4/5. Good stick, not as good as some older sticks, but can't be beat for the price.

What our customer's say!
"Xbox 360 Hori Fighting Stick is Awesome!", The Hori arcade (or "fighting") stick consists of Sanwa parts (I believe). It's based on Japanese Game Center cabinet designs, with the Sanwa ball-top joystick and Sanwa convex buttons (which are setup with a curved finger layout). The quality of the product is very high. The base of the arcade stick is plastic, but there is weight to it. You can use it on a table or just hold it in your lap.
The stick works great for most Xbox 360 fighting and arcade games - any game that doesn't require the use of both analog thumbsticks and/or the left and right triggers of the standard 360 controller.
It allows you to setup your own arcade at home - it works great for fighter games (such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Dead or Alive 4, Virtua Fighter 5, Soul calibur 4); shoot'em ups (such as Ikaruga); puzzle games (such as Super Puzzle Fighter 2 HD, Puzzle Quest); and action/adventure games (such as Bionic Commando Re-armed, Mega-Man 9).
There is a lot of versatility you can get out of this stick. It's a great product at a good price, I highly recommend it.
"not perfect but it works", the joy stick is not perfect like the title says but it works, i bought it mainly because i like playing fighting games and i feel they play better with a joy stick as opposed to the horrible 360 d-pad, and while this stick works great w/ games like soul calibur , and virtua fighter 5 , it is only so so with games like street fighter and fatal fury and samurai showdown and mortal kombat, all which i purchased on xbox live, i am looking forward to see how this stick handles street fighter 4 in Feb. but over all this stick works alright just not perfect 7 out of 10
"Great arcade stick at a great price", I purchased this arcade stick to play Soul Calibur 4 as well as other fighting games for the xbos 360 like Virtua Fighter 5 and Street Fighter. This product is a great value is the closest you can get to a real arcade feel without buying parts and making a custom built stick. I would highly recommend this arcade stick to anyone who enjoys arcade style fighting games but doesn't have the means to custom build a real stick.
"Great stick needs a little modding", This is a great stick for fighting games, honestly i wouldn't play a fighting game without it. the downside is that the "gate" for the movement of the stick is in the shape of a square which makes doing dragon punches on streetfighter a bit difficult. this can be fixed by purchasing a octagon gate and doing a little modding to get that arcade feel. other than that the response and everything else is outstanding!
"Great Fighting Stick", I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love fighting games and finally having an arcade quality stick really enhances the experience. Pulling off moves is a snap with the extremely accurate stick. The buttons are the perfect size and are layed out very well.
I would recommend this product to anyone who really enjoys fighting games on the 360.

"PERFECT", This is the ONLY arcade stick you need to own, it is the BEST on the market (of course, it's a Bandai Product) hands down, and it's built like a tank, this baby will keep you fighting for years, the victories in battle are up to you.
"Slightly inferior to PS2 SC2 Stick.", This stick is almost identical to the PS2 Hori SC2 Stick, with the addition of the extra Xbox360 buttons. It's solid and smooth, the only gripe I have is the palm rest was shortened by a few inches, making it sort of unconfortable for people w/ larger hands, as you can't rest your hand on the surface of the stick. You end hanging your hand off the bottom edge.
In any case, it's still a great stick, and I still couldn't imaging playing Soul Calibur on a joypad.
"Time tested and solid", This is the same stick that was issued as the Dead or Alive 4 joystick; the non-decorated version is known as the Fighting Stick EX2. The joystick has a nice soft feel -- very good for rolling quarter-circle moves. I've used it in Street Fighter Anniversary Collection as well as DOA4 and Soulcalibur IV; it's well worth the money and the build quality is quite good -- other EX2s I've used have had no problem over the long term with durability. Also, it's small enough to fit on your lap if you don't have a coffee table or TV tray.
However, while this stick is excellent for fighters, it's not so good for classic arcade games like Ms. Pac-Man or New Rally-X -- the soft-springed joystick doesn't feel accurate in those games, which were designed with stiffer four-way sticks in mind. But if you use it with the games for which it was built, you'll be quite happy.
"not a real review", I have a question on the layout, soul calibur 4 doesn't need a left or right trigger button, but the bumpers are almost essential for switching characters and to a lesser degree pulling off critical finishes, so does that become an issue? There don't appear to be LB or RB buttons mapped on this controller, but with customizable controls does that fix the problem?
"Really? You're playing SoCal 4 and you don't have this?", The Title says it all. Fighting games without this is like a key without a lock. Pointless. 5 stars.
