"Fabulous", The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous! The music has a dark and commanding feel, almost like you can feel the epic battles ensuing while it plays.
Like A Dog Chasing Cars is phenomenal. The rhythmic and strong pulses it gives.. beautiful. Definitely one of the best soundtracks out there! But then, how can it not be? It was mastered by the two best film composers there are.

"Perfectly suited to the movie, and gets better with each listen", This music is suited perfectly to the tone of the movie, and I came out of the movie thinking that the score was almost another character of the film. Visual sets and actor's performances are easy to appreciate, but without an effective score, many movies would fall flat.

What I didn't expect was how much I enjoyed each repeated listening. I enjoy good movie soundtracks, and my recent favorites include the entire "Complete Recordings" collection from the Lord of the Rings movies by Howard Shore (The Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring (The Complete Recordings) remains my favorite of the three). Now that I've had time to listen to this title a few times, and also those other titles, I find myself enjoying this one more and more each time.

Make no mistake, this score is as dark as the movie. You're not going to get anything light and airy here, but if you've seen the movie, you know what to expect.

My wish is that they would release this soundtrack as an alternate audio track on the DVD and Blu-ray release, as I believe that it would provide an even deeper appreciation of what Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have accomplished here. I would easily pay the purchase price of this soundtrack again to be able to experience that!

"Best soundtrack of 2008", This is hands down, the best soundtrack since the lord of the rings. Hans Zimmer and James Howard deliver the perfect score to one of the greatest action movies of all time. The soundtrack brings back images from the movie, everytime I listen to it. Great sequel to the batman begins score but this is a notch even better. Go grab this one to feel inspired!

"A masterpiece!", The music of this CD comes out of all the parameters of previous soundtracks of Batman's films. When you hear it, you really feel the psychological burden of the film. For me is the best soundtrack in the whole Batman saga.

"The Dark Knight - movie soundtrack", I purchased this cd for my 28 year old son, who remarked that he thought the music was very dynamic. He reports that the cd is everything he could ask for and more. I recommend this cd to all Dark Knight fans and, having heard it myself, to those of us who appreciate good music, well played and well produced. Jonathan O'Mara, Whitby, Canada

"Hans Zimmer is my favorite music composer", Hans Zimmer keeps on putting out good scores. This soundtrack is no exception. Each track has that "Dark Knight" felling you got when you saw the movie. It has my vote for best soundtrack of the year.

"Intensely Satisfiying", I'm typically one that only buys soundtracks for movies I really enjoy. Over the last several years, that has only been 3 movies. Batman Begins, Transformers, and now The Dark Knight.

Hans Zimmer and James Netwon Howard definitely deliver with this soundtrack. It goes above and beyond what Batman Begins started. I've always enjoyed Hans Zimmer's ability create a memorable theme. That's definitely been done with the theme from Batman begins, which carries over to The Dark Knight.

This has been a wonderful purchase, and one I haven't regretted for a second. I plan to continue to enjoy it for sometime...and expect the next Batman's movie soundtrack to be just as satisfying.

"The Dark Knight soundtrack purchase", Quick delivery; however, cd arrived with broken inner plastic holder and cd was loose.
The disk wasn't scratched, but its always annoying to receive a product not 100%

This sort of thing can happen during delivery though, so always get insurance when possible.

"Majestic", I hated this film. However I did love the soundtrack very much. It's far better than 'Begins', and I found it very epic and majestic.

"Not Elfman but really quite worth buying", Danny Elfman is the ultimate composer of the Batman theme and after the first two movies, he was gone and all the composers since then are in his shadow - seeking to write themes that suggest his from Batman and Batman Returns. I did not think a lot of the Batman Begins soundtrack as much of it can put one to sleep; the theme was not very complex but was not bad and worked in that movie. The new film and movie happily took the very best of the themes in Batman Begins and expanded and worked off them such that the soundtrack album is worth buying and listening to. The theme fades in and out nicely and worked in the film and works on the album. If the same composers write some more for the next Batman movie we will really have something to enjoy.
