"Batteries lasted 5 minutes"
We bought this for our 3 year old daughter for Christmas. She didn't even get to use it for more than 5 minutes! The thing kept shutting off because the batteries were dead. We put in another set of batteries, she took maybe 20 pictures, and the camera shut off again. In reading the other reviews, this seems to be pretty common with this camera. We will be returning this and getting a different camera.

This camera was a huge sucess at my granddaughter's Christmas. She is 4+ and actually took some good pictures. She really got into staging and photographed all her dolls and a few people too. Great for a first camera!! The automatic flash is a great feature and worked very well.

"Don't waste your money!"
This is the last time I buy a toy without researching it first - Vtech is so much better!!! I bought this toy after a long day of shopping for my daughter and I should have returned it. Instead, I opened it and tried it out despite the reviews that it had very poor resolution. Wow! I could barely see whatever I took a picture off! I am hoping my daughter won't care and she'll still have fun with it. My advice would be to spend a little more and get a nice Vtech one for your child (don't pay more than $100 since you might as well hand them your old digital camera and upgrade).

I made a 'snap' decision to pick this toy in the store and now I regret it.

"needed new batteries way too often"
not sure if it was a problem with just mine or for all but i found it too much of a pain to keep having to change the batteries (after little use). I returned it and got the vitech one instead - not having the same problems with that one. also didn't like where the button was to take pics on the fisher price model - so small and hard to press for my daughter.

"Button is hard to push "
I bought this for my daughter's third birthday. She had easily played with the non-waterproof version at a friend's house several times. She had a very difficult time learning how to hold this water proof version of the camera so that her finger could reach the button. The pink plastic case around the button makes it harder to push. Kids have to push the button in rather than down which is harder for small fingers. She eventually figured it out but I would look for the older model if at all possible.
