"For me this Canon case is a definite NO"
I purchased this when I got my Canon SD770is camera. Within 24 hours, I was researching for a better case for my needs. After my research, I went online and purchased a Case Logic UNZ-2 Small Universal Pocket with Screen Protection (Blue/Silver). Simply, the Canon case is very bulky and I buy the Powershots for their function and their size. I want a case that I can easily put in my pocket and hardly realize that it is there. For my needs, I wouldn't use the Canon case if it were given to me. There is no doubt it will protect your camera, but the extra bulk and lack of any flexibility are a big downside for me. On the other hand, I absolutely love my Case Logic case. Frankly, if the Canon case is that large, you should be able to carry an extra charged battery and an extra memory card. But, you can't. Two thumbs down for this Canon case.


"Fine case, but much bigger than it should be"
This case is a fine case, and I'm sure many will be happy with it. The different color options are a nice touch.
However, I will not use the case and will instead resell or give it away. This is because it is bigger than I thought it would be. It's not huge, but I strongly prefer the smaller PSC-50 I got for my canon sd450:

The dimensions in the listing lead me to believe the PSC-1000 was smaller, but that is not the case - it's noticeably bigger.
The sd1100is can fit into the PSC-50 also, but it needs to stretch very slightly as the sd1100is is a bit longer than the sd450 (width and height are fine). I only noticed the stretch the first few times, now the leather just keeps the stretched shape and it seems as if the case was made for the sd1100is.
Also, I don't like how the flap on the PSC-1000 goes all the way to the bottom of the case (while the PSC-50's only goes half way down)

If you aren't worried too much about the pocket-ability of the camera inside this case, then you might be very happy with it. However, the way I see it, the sd1100is is a very compact camera for exactly that reason: super easy portability and carry-ability. I want a case that adds as little size as possible. If I didn't mind some extra size, I'd be carrying a larger camera instead!

Have not used the case since I bought it! It's very snug. My LCD has a sreen protector on it & every time I try to slide the camera into the case it partially removes it! I do not like the slot on the top of the case. This is a poor choice, just buy a nice shoulder case- good thing I had one!

"useful case"
Bought this case for my Canon SD770IS and it's very good, the camera fits in perfectly and it protects in very well. Of course it makes it all a bit larger so I only use it when I really need to protect my camera, if I carry the camera in my pocket or so I don't use the case. Like the magnetic closure, works very well, easy to open and close.

This case is specifically designed for the Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Elph Camera (esp. the blue one). It protects the camera with a well made leather case enclosure. It does however add bulk to the total camera carrying experience. There is a slot in the top of the case so the camera's carrying strap can go through. Also the Case has a belt loop on the back.
If you carry additional batteries, memory cards, etc. this is NOT the case for you. If however, you are looking for a case specifically designed for this camera; then look no further. It's specifically designed to protect the camera ONLY.
