"Not For Small Wrists", I took a look at this product in a store prior to purchasing it. There is no way the orange band would cinch around my wrist. Even getting it to stay on my upper arm was a challenge, and that was just on dry land. I'm sure things would loosen up further in the water.

I didn't get to test whether or not it floats. Assuming it floats and gets your camera to float with it, I would recommend buying this only if you have large hand/wrist OR if you have a separate, tighter wrist band to secure your camera to your wrist.

"Perfect Strap", This strap works perfectly for the Olympus Stylus SW 1030 camera. The strap is just the right size to float the camera to the surface, easily visible, not too large and bulky.

"floating strap", the strap is perfect for outdoors activity, specially the ocean, you no longer have to worry about losing your camara, it floats perfectly.
cameta camera is fine, i got my purchase delivered on time as they promise. I highly recommed them.

"I think it works for the purporse I bought it for:).", It's a strap that does what it supposed to do. Delivery was timely and the price was good. Nothing else to say. I would recommend it to anyone.

"save your camara", I have been looking for this strap for awhile now. Finally got it. When taking underwater pictures, I now do not have to worry about my camera slipping off my hand and sinking to the bottom. If it does slip, it will float so that you have time to grab it. With the bright orange, I can see it in the surf. Since getting the strap, I have been using it more in the water, where in the pass it was too much trouble and did not want to take a chance.

"*** Warning *** Float Strap Does Not Work", I'm perplexed by the polar opposite reviews on this product. Some people say it works fine, while others say it fails miserably. Could this be a quality control problem?

We purchased a 1030W and the floating camera strap for our 8 YO son to take scuba diving on vacation in St. Lucia. Before leaving, our son tested the camera and strap in the bath tub (like all little boys would do) and noticed that the camera sank to the bottom of the bath tub. We used the camera on Barbados and St. Lucia for about 3 days. On our first scuba dive (he can only go to 6 feet due to regulations)... it was too merky to use the camera, so I took it from him for safe storage. I accidently released the camera under water for just a second... thinking the float strap would at least keep the camera at a neutral position. To my shock, the camera went straight to the bottom and quickly out of sight. I couldn't swim fast enough to save the Camera! We never did find the camera.

I'm in the process of contacting Olympus because I believe this product represents false advertising.

"Floating Strap", Once I had the silicone skin and the floating strap....makes for an excellent bit of kit, but the strap does not float for long (perhaps 10-20 minutes, after which time it starts to slowly sink, you need to squeeze out the water and allow air back into the item. It's enough time if you dropped it, etc, but I was hoping it would be a bit better with it's bouyancy!


"great product", This camera strap kept my camera floating with no problem. The only drawback I could see is the strap doesn't tighten enough to fit a smaller wrist.

"Will not float an Olympus Stylus 1030 SW!", Simply put, this strap is not buoyant enough to even remotely float the Olympus 1030 SW. I went on a camping trip and the camera got accidentally dropped while kayaking a calm, flat-water river. It sank to the bottom instantly. The strap failed 100%. It didn't even slow the descent. I had the orange strap and it was bright enough for me to see it sink straight down. I thought "not a big deal". At least the camera is waterproof and I can see it. By the time I got out of my kayak it was gone. It must have been just buoyant enough to keep it off the bottom of the river and the little bit of current there was took it. We had almost 20 people spend nearly an hour scouring the river (as most of it 5 feet deep or less), but it was gone. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the performance of this product. Advertising it as a "Floating Camera Strap" is VERY misleading since it doesn't really float. The only legitimate use I can think of for this strap would be for snorkeling to help keep it cinched around your wrist. Otherwise, save your money on this product.

"Graet little float", Nice float and a little less expensive. Will attach to almost any camera. Is brightly colored for easy spoting. Has a quick disconnect fitting so it can be quickly removed on shore. I used it with a SeaLife Ecoshot.
