"very bad script", Very bad script. In the previous AVP, there were several Predators on the ship. The ship should not crash back to the earth. If it's another ship, after the crash, only aliens can survive?! Why only one predator came to do the clean up job?!The whole movie is shown in dark background and make it not enjoyable.Don't buy this movie, just rent it.

"Not a bad movie!", first off AVP R is a lot better than the original. I perferd the R rating over the PG-13.(It dident really matter there were like[...] kids watching it with there parents when i saw it in theaters.) The special effects are good and the acting is so-so. altho it is sort of predictable the deaths are good! Alot of memorable moments. Expecialy in the Unrated Version.

"graphic violence and lots of fear", I remember when both Alien and Predator were popular movies. BOTH had me pretty frightened as a young child with his mind constantly wondering and unsure what was even going on!

Now, many years later, I'm an adult now, and yet, I still feel somewhat scared when I watch the movies, because they portray humans unable to defend themselves against these huge POWERFUL creatures, and I think that's the thing that bothers me the most.

Alien vs. Predator was disturbing in that, it seemed whenever someone lost their life, their friends and family would die next, in graphic ways.

This movie shows everything from little kids having aliens shoot from their bellies while hunting in the woods, to pregnant women in hospitals having aliens munch through their stomach and stick their sharp dangerous teeth in the air, while the patients and nurses were forced to watch these graphic things happen.

This made Alien vs. Predator a VERY scary film. One I highly recommend. Everything from nurses getting their heads popped off, to sharp teeth chewing on peoples faces, to a pizza delivery boy getting his buns kicked by the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend.

It WILL be a bit hard keeping track of what's going on half the time though, because there's like, 20 different main characters in the film, showcasing a variety of different friends and families, and because the film takes place at night time for the most part, it's hard to tell who actually won the fight between the alien and the predator. I think the creature with green juice squirting out of him lost.

There WERE some predictable moments though, such as the monsters swimming through swimming pools while people were in the pool, and you KNEW they would swim after the people.

The amount of blood is very very high throughout the film.

Oh, and the ending scene is VERY cool.


"AVP -- Amps Volts Problem ", I have to agree with those who thought the lighting was terrible. It was like watching shadows on the wall. I'm certainly glad I'm not the only one who is complaining about this.

"good, but had quite a few flaws", I liked the movie, the action was good for the most part and the acting was, well not horrible but not fantastic. the only problem was how they only sent out one predator. I mean 4 or 5 wouldve made the movie much better or a whole army wouldve been bad a$$. The other problem was it was extremely dark, I feel bad for anybody with a bootleg copy of the movie, it was so dark in some scenes you couldnt see what was going on. A little brightness and more than one predator wouldve made the movie much better than it was.

"Redemption from AVP, too many characters", After AVP, I felt this franchise was dead. As a huge fan of the original Alien, Aliens and Predator, the AVP film was silly and inconsequential to me. Many of the scenes involving fights and the dialogue of the humans was almost comical (one of my "favorites" is when the human and predator "team up" and are running in sync with hair and braids flying in sync)-looks like I was in a romantic comedy. The first AVP was also very dark and slow moving.

While AVP 2 Requiem does not come close to the quality of fright and "wow" reactions I experienced for the original franchise films, the second part, had a faster pace and some interesting "species" specific on screen behavior (such as the "insemination" of the human mothers). The scenes still remained overly dark, but the PQ and AQ were more than adequate. The sound was powerful and detail crisp.

I was happy to see the return of a strong female lead character, although at times, there were simply too many characters to become invested in the survival. The end was a bit abrupt, but the last scene with "Mrs. Yutani" provided a twist that tied the first Alien movies to a possible sequel.

In addition, I wish there had been a prolonged battle scene between the two species. They seemed more like "scuffles".

For its effects and redemption, this film is worth a rent if you're a fan of the other films. Lets hope the next film continues a positive evolution of the franchise and introduces a more focused plot and developed characters.

"Deserves one Star for the Blue-Ray format", I am a huge huge fan of both Aliens and Predators movies. AVP was great, but REQUIEM is really really unbearable, I just fast-forwarded to the end of the movie. Really a huge insult to any Aliens and Predators fans out-there.
I give one Star for the beautiful Blue-Ray formats : the picture,the colors, the sounds were excellent ... but for the movie itself, sorry to say this, definitely one of the worst in the history of Sci-Fic movie ever made. Don't buy.

"Insult to the seperate franchises", First off, let me say that I am a huge fan of the oiginal Predator and Aliens series.

When I hread they were doing an aliens vs. predator movie I was hoping for somwthing in the vein of the Dark Horse comics I read when I was in college. I was somewhat disapointed with what was delivered.

With the second combo installment I was disgusted!! This movie should never have seen the light of day in my opinion. This movie was filled with forgetable characters and a flimsy plot. At no one point did I ever really care about what happened to teh chracters. And then in order to throw a twist in to the plot, the government gets this token appearance to sugest a conspiracy or cover up.

The actging was bad and the plot was worse. Since when do aliens take on tghe characteristics of thier host? neverf happened in teh original alien series. Some may say, well it happened in Alien Resurestion. Yes, but those were genetically altered, not naturally grown. And what happened to the alien's blood being incredibly acidic? They made mentionof it early on when the hunter's arm melterd off but never after that. Never mind that there was plenty of it being thrown around throughout the movie and nothing ever metled.

In the end they try to tie it together with one of the founders of "the company" from the alien movies getting a hold of the predator gun. Hopefully that means the end of this awful attepmt at brining two great sci-f/horror series together, but I doubt it.

"Left a bit upset but not disappointed", The Strause Brothers make Requiem exceptionally superior in most catagories and stands where the first Alien vs. Predator fell. Paul W.S. Andersen's 2004 Aliens vs. Predator was criticized for being too lightweight in the gore-and-guns department however Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem offers a marked improvement in both categories. This film was quite good, but could have been better. None of the actors in this film are of any particular renown, there should have been a story with the characters to make you interested. Also the scenes showing people been killed were too violent and over rated, this movie did fail to keep up with the high expectations and will disgust most fans of the series, but with this said, it is worth seeing.

This movie was better than expected with the level of fight scenes between alien and predator being quite limited and short but the movie is entertaining through out. To most this is a movie you will either like or dislike. The Strause Brothers did a better attempt than Paul W.S. Andersen at making an entertaining film.

"Definitely crossed a line that should not have been crossed", I am a HUGE fan of the Alien series and even liked AVP. I think they couldve continued the AVP series with that movie.
But this movie was just chaos.
I could barely make sense of the battle scenes. I couldnt tell who was who?
And that labor scene was just too much.
There are certain lines you just done cross and that crossed it.
It is a slap in the face to any woman who has gone through labor waiting to hold thier precious baby.
It was unbearable for me to watch.
I really wanted to like this movie and if it werent for that scene I mightve purchased it but unless I can delete that scene from the movie I wont be buying it.
PITY.
