"Excellent... at first, then horrible ghosting"
At first, I was thrilled with this monitor (note that I have the w2207, not w2207H, so perhaps this problem is fixed). But after a couple of months, I started getting 'ghosting' - everything has a light ghost image of itself to the right - for example, characters look 'smeared' to the right-hand side. This is, by the way, on fixed text, not gaming or graphics intensive motion. I returned that monitor (I'll give HP credit, the return was easy once I convinced them I knew what I was talking about and had already tried all the usual things - reset, unplug, etc). Now the second one is doing the EXACT same thing. Two in a row means they have a design or manufacturing issue. I have searched online (a bit) and others do not seem to have this issue - I leave the monitor on all the time, just let the power save turn it off, so this could be part of the problem. I am past the one year warranty and are therefore SOL. I have to unplug the monitor for a bit, then it cleats up for a short time but then goes ghosty again. Argh.

I've been looking at monitors for about a year. Started with the Viewsonic and read about how touchy the screens were. From there went to Samsung and you had to check on the serial number to see where it was manufactured at because of dead pixels. Also the adjustablity of the monitor istelf. From there I went to HP. All of the reviews were good. I purchased mine from Circuit City. I've had this minitor now for about four months. I'm not a gamer, but I do a lot of photo restoration and also design stained glass. I'm WELL pleased with the quality of the monitor. Colors are beautiful and the stand adjusts for height,tips and if jou do legal work rotates 180 degrees. I would not hesitate on replacing it with the same model.

Great display abilitys but the speakers leave alot to be desired.
Rotate the screen and spread sheets a dream. Colors great and size is a dream for someone that doesn't see all that well anymore.

This monitor is great for an all-around use. I have it hooked up to my computer with a VGA connector and to my PS3 through HDMI. This thing is sweet!! The sound is not the best, but again they're 2watt speakers and anyone who has a computer and plans to use it for gaming should invest in quality speakers. My only complaint about this monitor is that the viewing angle is limited. IF you lean 45 degrees to the left, right up,or down, you will see reduced picture quality. That being said, this wouldn't make a good TV. I also like the how you can rotate it 90 degrees. It is nice when youre browsing the net, shopping on-line, or reading you're emails. I kinda compare this to a plasma tv because of the reflective screen and the nice, crisp, bright picture that it displays. The reflection is not muh of an issue because it only reflects when youre displaying a pure black picture. The black part reflects, but the colored part dosent

Absolutely the best purchase that I've made. Amazing clarity and priced right. These 75 year young eyes will not have to squint as they did with my old monitor
