"Just what I needed", Great for our SHARED computer. I plug it in when I am on-line and files I need/want to save I save to my USB drive. "Even better than expected!", I've purchased many Kingston flash drives, and I've only ever had one DOA (though they issued an RMA promptly - good service). It was a 2GB, and I worried about the quality of their higher-capacity drives after that. However, the price on this 8GB was good, so I took the plunge and bought two. I have not been disappointed with either one! In fact, the write speed is about twice what I usually see on my 1GB versions of this drive! Highly recommended, especially to those who don't want to bother with U3 or need ReadyBoost. This drive is a solid performer.

"KINGSTON, ALWAYS THE RIGHT ONE", The Kingston flash drives always work right out of the package no matter what system you use. PC or MAC, I have used many of the 1 GB drives and decided to go to an 8 GB to save having so many smaller drives. Very satisfied with all of them.

"Good Deal", I have owned several different brands of flash drives, some good, some failed within a few weeks. Kingston ALWAYS works, lasts, and is a great value. I am a big fan of all Kingston memory products.

"Carried in pocket for two years and still Going Strong", I work in the schools on computers and this is my main tool. I have carried this in my pocket along with keys, change, etc. for two years and sure it's scuffed up on the outside but still works perfectly. These Kingston don't have all those cute little programs that try to install every time you want to use it like others do. I just need a simple device to carry data and these are the best. I keep an extra one around to sell the teachers when either they don't have one or their Walmart one has come apart. I don't make any profit but the teachers are starting to use usb flash drives more and more and are happy for the convenience. These Kingston drives are absolutely the best that I have seen and I have seen a bunch of them.

"kingston flash drive", we love this product. My son got it to put songs on his computer and to save information.

"Kingston quality, no matter what size", I saved up my Pepsi points for this, and have never been so happy with a "loyalty program reward". I got this to replace my old PNY 512MB drive. I don't have a tonne of chunky files to carry around, but my portable FireFox profile and Thunderbird archive were filling the whole thing up with no room for much else. I also had a few sectors go bad on the PNY, further limiting just how much storage was available to me.

Knowing that I now have the Kingston name and warranty leaves me feeling much more secure. I don't personally know anyone who has ever complained about bad sectors on a Kingston USB drive. Moving up to the 2GB drive, I have room for all of the portable applications I need with plenty of room to spare for files. Carrying something the size of a keychain beats the pants off of lugging my laptop bag everywhere. I've actually uninstalled the registered versions of Firefox and Thunderbird and now run only the portable versions natively on my desktops and laptop, which makes synch'ing everything via USB drive that much faster. As to file transfer rate, the Kingston drive also seems to complete transfers much faster than my previous drive.

It's not nearly as big as some of the other options on the market now, but 2GB is plenty enough storage space for me when I'm away from home. I'm sure it's plenty enough for other folks too. For the available storage -- it's great!

"Extremely SLow", This is a good drive for the price. It takes forever to copy or save files to it. Unless you're in a hurry when it comes to transferring data, spend a little extra and get a faster thumb drive.

"excellent for students", This product is really helpful for studies..You can carry your datas easily anywhere. I have a portable harddisk too but since I dont carry it all the time sometimes when I need it I am out. But since this 4gb is attached to my keychain its always available and the price is also reasonable.

I just recieved my second 2GB drive the other day. I read the other reviews that talk about failures, so for $5-$10 I bought the second unit to back up the first. It's just a chip, break it open and see, nothing fancy.

With my second drive I plan on keeping a "back up" of my first drive in case of failure, BACKUP, WHAT A GREAT IDEA. I use mine for storing pictures, documents and videos that I want/need to save in order to unclutter my email inbox.

SPEED - I don't have a "GEEK" way of measuring the data transfer speed but the Kingston units seam to work faster than my other "standard" USB drives that I own. "Selling the old ones soon, :)"

PHYSICAL SIZE - The Kingston USB Drives are smaller than my other USB Drives and the Kingston Data traveler has 2 clips for lanyards if that is important to you. (I always break my lanyard clips, so I have stopped using them)

VALUE - Google them, click the SHOPPING button on the top of the google page and see for yourself. Maybe you'll have my price beat.
