"Good but left you wanting more" The actual expansion works fine except one level that's a little buggy namely tacitus interuptus which has some problems giving credits for objectives. Aside from that the game is a nice change of pace since it goes through the tiberium wars 2-3. The only main annoyance i had was that it only had the nod campaign to test out the new units and specials so you have to test GDI and Scrin in skirmish / multiplayer. If your only buying for multiplayer or are considering getting it in the future now is the time because the game comes with a beta key for red alert 3 which looks very good.
"until it is patched , don't bother!" It's a great game. My friend and I like to team up against the computer. Let the computer build up, and then try to fight our way in. Definitely creates a challenge. This Game does deliver on that aspect. Each faction has an enemy faction that is tough for them. So set the enemy to random and get ready! Now for the problem, with the desync errors and the cnc3dat errors which are prevelant all across the web. Until EA bothers to put out a patch and fix these issues. I would just save your money.
"Fun game within a game!" EA has masterfully done it again! This time they have taken a whole new innovative approach to gaming and made a game WITHIN a game. The game on the box - Kane's Wrath is fun, but even more fun is the BONUS GAME - called "getting it to work!" You'll enjoy countless hours of fun restarting your game and even your whole system! How long can you go before it crashes? Can you break your last record? Join the online community at EA Tech Support and make new friends with thousands, yes THOUSANDS, of other people - trade tips and share suggestions! Brag when you get your game to work for over twenty minutes! They will all admire you! To add to the realism the staff at EA will occasionally post a cryptic comment about a vague fix they are working on that will end the game within the game - but gratefully they have not done it yet! (Rest assured, they have many games with similar isues, some years old, where they have said the same thing; and they haven't ended the game within a game with those yet!)
So go ahead and buy Kane's Wrath. Expand and grow your patience by exercising it every time you play!
"Key MP features don't work- skip this game" First off, if you only play C&C for the single player then buy the game, you'll like it. It's a little slower than Tiberium Wars, but not terribly. Also I cannot speak for the online gaming; haven't bothered with it but I hear it is flawed.
The main reason I give KW a low score is because network games that played just fine in TW no longer work in KW... a high number of games are plagued with a de-sync error that will not let you finish. Also, if you are buying for the Risk-like Global Conquest mode, don't bother... you are not allowed to play against humans as the manual implies.
So, months later the gamers are stuck waiting for a patch. EA has really bungled this one with an untested, rushed, buggy piece of junkware. They are not doing much to address the problem and their support # people are clueless. C&C is made for multiplayer, and this game does not deliver... I wouldn't even recommend C&C in the future based on this, and I've been a fan for many years. Westwood and even Blizzard did much better in the past.
"Let the games begin." Great game, kind of irritating because its so like Tiberium wars, just the more maps and more factions. There goes more money.
What I don't like is that every now and then the game would de-sync---in the middle of our game.
Otherwise the upgrades and different factions add an interesting twist and works well based on your type of strategy--if you like air units, infantry or attack vehicles.

What our customer's say!
"Vista Home Premium 64bit Support", The product specifically states that Windows 64 bit is not supported. I am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit and this game runs beautifully. No Crashes, No Lags and No Errors of any sort.
The multi player component leaves a lot to be desired.
As for the game, new faction additions add a certain spice that is better best savored playing it. Visually vibrant and fun to play. Am loving it!
"A Decent Expansion", C&C 3: Kane's Wrath is an expansion for the excellent C&C 3: Tiberium Wars. Those that liked the core game will most likely enjoy this one, as will people that are fans of the series and have followed it from its inception. In general, Kane's Wrath is very standard expansion fare- nothing that will blow you away or change your mind about the game if you didn't like it before, but enough to satisfy anyone that did.
The expansion adds three major components to the game: a new Nod campaign, global conquest mode, and new sub-factions and units. The campaign is difficult in comparison to the original game, but not overly challenging if you're a C&C veteran. It's also not particularly long, but is well done with the traditional FMV cutscenes and cheesy acting. As you might have gathered from the title, Kane is back in all his insidious glory. Joining the cast are Natasha Henstridge and Carl Lumbly as Nod sub-commanders. You don't play as GDI or Scrin, but do get a chance to play all of the Nod sub-factions and also fight each of the other side's sub-factions. The plot is a bit of a departure from previous C&C outings. It is actually a back-story that spans from Tiberian Sun to the end of Tiberium Wars, and is obviously a lead-in toward some future game or expansion. We'll see which eventually, I'm sure...
The expansion adds two new sub-factions for each of the sides, and these behave somewhat similarly to the generals in C&C Generals: Zero Hour, or to the sub-factions in Emperor: Battle for Dune. Specifically, they grant you the ability to make unique units, some of which take the place of regular units. You may also get new powers and upgrades. Some sub-factions also lack the ability to purchase core units or upgrades, as a balancing factor. Additionally, GDI, Nod, and the Scrin each have a new 'epic' unit: the MARV, Redeemer, and Eradicator Hexapod, respectively. These units are similar to the Mammoth Mk 3 or Cyborg Commando in Tiberian Sun, in that only one can be on the field at the time. They both require a unique structure to build (which can also serve as a standard war factory) and cost a lot of money. However, they can single-handedly slaughter pretty much anything short of an entire army, and are simply cool to look at.
Global conquest mode is very similar to the War of the Ring mode in Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 (with the expansion). You can build bases across a world map, upgrade them to make them tougher and able to produce better units, and build strike forces (essentially, armies) to attack other factions' bases. In strategic map mode, the game is turn-based, and you can either fight battles in real-time or auto-resolve them in a manner similar to the Total War series. Each side has different victory objectives, or can win simply by wiping out the others. For example, GDI can achieve victory by claiming a certain percentage of the map within the zone of control of its bases. This is a nice touch that adds replay value to the game. It's got a bit more depth to it than the usual skirmish, and- while not exactly groundbreaking in any way- is new for the C&C series.
I only have a few complaints with Kane's Wrath, first and foremost the fact that many of the sub-factions look really weak to me. This can and likely will be fixed in balance patches, however, so it's not a major concern. Secondly, I'd have liked at least some of the campaign to showcase the story of the GDI and Scrin sub-factions. It's kind of weird to just suddenly see all these new toys everyone is using, when we finished grinding through three large campaigns in the original game without hearing a peep of them. I can kind of understand why the expansion focuses solely on Nod, but it would have been nice to have a few unlockable extra GDI/Scrin levels.
The bottom line is that if you liked C&C 3 or any of its predecessors, you will likely enjoy this expansion. If you didn't, then you should probably give this one a pass. It doesn't do much to break the mold of the game, but this is likely by design. Personally, speaking as someone that's played C&C since the original on DOS (remember, back in the stone age when we thought that was so cool?) I still haven't tired of this time-tested RTS hallmark. So far, more of the same hasn't quite worn me out.
"MS Vista Command & Conquered", This is certainly a very engrossing game with tremendous variation. It should keep you busy for many more hours than you should be!
But:
VISTA memory often doesn't handle the video requirements of the game. The longer you play, the more likely VISTA is to hang. If you keep your games to less than an hour at a stretch you should be able to deal with the memory leaks.
Great game, mediocre OS (VISTA)
"BUY IT BUY IT", It was AWESOME!!!! I loved everything about this game from Graphics to game play this was by far the best command and conquer it was ohh so fun but one kick was the dang movies they were low budget but very funny. I suggest playing the campaign BUY IT
"kane's wrath", command and conquer 3 in general is fabulous however, kane's wrath is a dissapointment due to the fact it really doesn't add anything to the game and it doesn't add any new factions either. It just spins off the exsisting factions. go get C@C 3 but hold of on kane's wrath.

"Great game.", I'm just going to mention a few thing since everything else good has already been said.
Firstly, the Global Conquest feature is really addicting, its like having a campaign and skirmish combined into one uber gametype that you can play over and over again without it getting boring.
Secondly, this expansion expands the storyline a lot. You can expect either another expansion or a C&C4.
Thirdly, I find that the new units and subfactions make it a little more stratigic than before. Now you really can do some hurt without overwhelming hordes of tanks.
"Lacking something...", While Kane's Wrath seems to be jammed packed with additional options, maps, and units for the fast paced and generally successful C&C3, there just seems to be a general lack of character and "oomph" factor. The new campaign is relatively disappointing, mostly because it goes BACKWARDS in time rather than advancing the somewhat ambiguous endings of the original C&C3 campaigns. Kane still chews up the scenery, but the additional characters (BSG's Carl Lumbly and Eli Stone's Natasha Henstridge) fall a bit flat.
The expansion misses several opportunities for really differentiating the sides, and while it has some neat additions (the caterpillar like contraption the Scrinn get) there is no where near the neat dynamic that was present in Zero Hour, the expansion to C&C:Generals which is hailed as being one of the best expansion packs in C&C series history.
The conquest mode and its risk style map is confusing, not well explained in the manual, and ultimately a bit boring, not streamlined and entertaining like its competition Dawn of War SoulStorm.
C&C junkies will want this, but I find that this expansion does not have the addicting qualities that the original C&C3 had, which had me literally playing "one more mission" just to see what happened next.
"Good for an expansion pack", I've thoroughly enjoyed the Command & Conquer Series and while this expansion pack is not much different from Tiberium Wars, they did make the effort to create a decent campaign mode. There are a few new units and enough new content to keep a fan happy for at least a few days.
The global conflict mode can be completed in about 2 hours (as long as you let the computer play the battles for you). The mode is new and felt short and experimental, but it was an enjoyable variation on the game.
Since there is only one campaign where you play Nod (Tiberium Wars had campaigns for all 3 races), the expansion pack is less value-for-money than Tiberium Wars. But as a fan I still thought it was worth the cost.
"Great Game", Great Game, It is a great buy if you are a CnC fan, Besides, I now get to try RA3 beta when it comes out in September(look out for that offer).
The game in itself is great, has a lot of new fun units.
** The game only has Missions for the NOD there are no GDI or Scrin Missions. Although I guess the Global Conquest mode kind of makes up.
"Full of surprises, a must have", This expansion of Command and Conquer 3 it a whole new game on it self. The new global domination game style reminds me of a variation of RISK; where all three factions (GDI, NOD, and Scrin) battle it out for world domination. The single player missions are also quite enjoyable, taking you back to the end of the 2nd Tiberium war and having change to play with some great units of the past. All in all a must have for the collection, and definitely not just an expansion.
