"Useful, but s-l-o-w", I have used this software for 10 months now, & I've found it very useful, but oh, so frustratingly s-l-o-w. It is easy to use, once it finally comes up (took 20 minutes last night), so that even my 6 yr. old DGGD makes her cards all by herself. We've sent a lot of cards to overseas troops, so even though there are some patriotic cards, I'd sure like Hallmark to have more selection suitable for deployed troops.

I don't normally buy cards because they are so expensive, but it is nice to be able to send personalized cards, so I do use it more than I expected. Although there are a lot of designs, because there are so many categories & unusable ones, that I would really like to be able to download new designs. One thing that has been particularly useful are the labels & tags. I make all the tags for The Shoebox Project & that is helpful. For the past decade or more, I've printed all my Christmas & birthday tags (I could only handwrite "TO: Jeremy From: Grandma & Grandpa" so many times), but with this program I can easily use clip art & color for tags that are a lot more fun. I use different holiday clip art for each gift recipient so I can easily find the correct tag in the drawer where I keep them (e.g., elder DD gets a cute Santa face, while I-for-Idiot SIL gets a sprig of holly because I couldn't find a holiday dunce cap).

I really dislike that I have to fire up a PC laptop to use this program. I find myself balancing the laptop on top of my trusty Mac keyboard so I can use the same cord for the printer. I also dislike that within categories, there is a sameness to the clip art. Many designs are clearly done by the same artist & are too much alike.

I've tried several times to contact Hallmark to see whether I have to buy an entire new program for 2009 instead of an upgrade. Could never reach a human. Note that in late 2007 Sam's Club sold the 2008 deluxe program for a good discount, but I haven't found a lower than retail price yet for 2009.

"Best Investment Ever!", I buy every version. The Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe is a wonderful way to personalize a card for all my friends and family. It is also great for scrapbooking my family photos. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

"wonderful product", This is awsome. I don't have to run to the store to get a card anymore. Lots of cards to choose from.Worth the spend!

"Not worth the $", If you have the 2007 edition, there is NO need to buy this. I'm so disappointed in this Hallmark program. I wish it had better graphics to choose from. Most of them IMO were cheesy cheesy generic-like clipart. It gets the job done, but it's not fun.

"Worth buying", Fast shipping, good price, great product ( I own the previous editions) and this one is by far the best one yet! I strongly suggest purchasing this.

"Excellent Greeting Card Program", I have been using CreataCard Platinum 7 for many years and hesitated to go to any other program because I have been extremely pleased with this one. I used Hallmark Card Studio 2003 "off & on" and after reading info on version 8, decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did!! This program offers much more than the 2003 version and is much, much easier to use. Getting the $10 rebate was nice as well. I highly recommend this version to anyone and it would appear the installation problem has been rectified as I had no trouble at all. The ONLY downside was that I purchased it through amazon.com who also offered a $10 rebate, but after I received the software and went online to submit the rebate, it was no longer there and amazon.com advised me it had been a mistake and it was not a valid offer, and that I could return the software if I wished. Well, whoopee! By the time I package it up, drive to the post office and pay the shipping, it will cost more than $10. I just decided I'll avoid doing any future business transactions with amazon, and I suggest you use them with caution as well.

"Great product - No problem with Disk", Recently received and installed without any of the earlier problems that were noted. Used it without a problem. Had an earlier version (2005) and there are some nice updates with this product. Still easy to use and produces a great greeting card. Would recommend this over other software packages for greeting cards.

"Will not run after install", After install the DVD edition of Hallmark Card Studio 2008 I get a message "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect." Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

This is a known problem, see there own user forum website. There is no known fix. This is not related to the disk 5 problem.

Not all people have this problem but it is unpredictable and unreparable.

"Didnt buy one card this Christmas ", If you want a multi purpose software that will give you a ton of options and fun. This is the one. I had the 2005 vers. of this one and gambled the up grade. Very impressed and glad I made the investment.
