"Can't get past the asteroid shooting problem", At first, I loved this game. Then I got to the point where your character has to shoot asteroids in order to survive. I've tried about 30 times, and still get killed. One cannot continue the game unless one successfully gets past this asteroid nonsense. I've decided to give up on the game and throw it away. Even if I get past the asteroids this one time, I will just have to do it all over again the next time I play the game. I don't want to go through this torture again.

"INTENSE", Aboslutely incredible gaming. Gorgeous graphics, clever integration of stats (ammo, health, etc), no visual clutter, a great soundtrack, and an INTENSE gaming experince. I can't wait for Dead Space 2!

"Make sure you have a 5.1+ surround sound system to really experience this.", This is an amazing game. Graphics, storyline, gameplay, are all top notch. What really sets it apart from anything else, however, is the atmosphere. I really recommend having a 5 speaker surround sound setup to truly enjoy all the vibe this game has to offer.

"Great Survival Horror Action", i have been playing this game since i have gotten it and i love it. it is very suspenseful and scary at times with things that jump at you. it can be somewhat challenging at times requiring me to redo some points of the game but i did not want a game that i could beat in a few days.

"seriously awesome.", wow. this game really rules. i haven't been so addicted to a game in a while. i got it on about 5 days ago and my controller has barely left my hands. it looks good, plays good, and is supremely fun. everything about this game is just really good. get it.

"dead space must buy for who ever own's a ps3!", Don't even think about it,just buy this game.I have played resistance 2 and cod 5 and mgs 4 and none of them were as fun as dead space.This game franchise will be around for a long time.Don't miss out!

"Great Game", I rented this game thinking it would be another RE4 clone. I was really surprised at how great this game turned out to be and was a little disappointed I did not buy this game because I had to rush through it to complete it with the trophies.

Story - Cliched (well ripped off) as all hell. If you mixed Resident Evil with Aliens and season with Scientology you would get this game. Despite this the story is well put together and has a great atmosphere.

Gameplay - Very similar to RE4 with a few differences. You know have to cut off limbs instead of head shots. There are portions with Zero-G. You also has a cool stasis attachment that slows enemies for you to line up shots and a kinesis attaachment to move and shoot things (boy, where have I seen that before?). Also, the game does a great job with enemies and atmosphere. It doesn't throw wave after wave at you. Instead, it plays with the atmosphere through shadows and music when things attack but also when they don't.

Design/Graphics - The graphics are great. The main character looks cool and the effects (fire/in space/explosions) are also great. My only complained is the lack of variation in the enemies.

Sound - Great. Really adds to the suspense.

Replay - Trophy support gives this game at least 3 play throughs. I played through twice without really getting bored with it. No secrets or unlockables (besides impossible difficulty).

Overall I was really surprised that this turned out to be a great game. It loses 1 star for ripping off everything but damn did they do a good job putting it all together.


"Dead Space", First off, if you have a Xbox360 or PS3 hooked up to the internet then do yourself a favor and download the demo.

Basically this game is a horror 3rd person survival game. Think 'Alien' the movie and 'Dark Sector' the game and you have a decent picture. Great characters, voice acting and an atmosphere that's real tense make this a must own game.

The only downfall is arguably that it has no online and a little short in length (8 hours), but this game is so good that isn't really too much of an issue. At $60 it is worth it. At $40 or less you'd be crazy not to get it.

"great game", This is the best suspense video game I've ever played. You just have to turn off the lights and crank up the volume and get ready for a scary ride.

"Maybe I'm just being paranoid....", Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I think these things are trying to KILL ME!!! I've done a lot of gaming but I can't remember the last time that I played a game that made my heart pound like this! I'm playing it on a Samsung 46" LCD TV, running it through the surround sound system. I only play it at night, in the dark and it completely freaks me OUT!!!!
