"Great end to the series" For starters, I'm a big fan of the warriors series. I love the way Erin writes and the way she is so kind at her book talks. These series are amazing! I recomend them to everyone. I was so excited for this book and had to wait forever! And the wait was worth while. This book is one that you can't put down, with an excellent ending. Although it may sound a little violent, it is a great end to the New Prophecy series. This book would have to be my second favorite in the series, after the Darkest Hour. I encourage anyone who has read the other books to read this one.
"Warriors(The New Prophecy)Book #6" This last book in the second series of Warriors Novels is as good as all of the rest!! I love cats and find these novels so interesting I can hardly put each book down until it is finished!!!
"Brambleclaw's Fight for the Clan's Trust" Brambleclaw, son of the murderous Tigerstar, struggles to earn respect from ThunderClan, for no cat will forget who his father was. Will Brambleclaw win?
"Great Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sunset is defenitely one of the best books in the WARRIORS series! I just had to read the last part over and over again! It's so dramatic and I never liked Hawkfrost, I hated him after he kicked Stormfur out. Great book!!!
"Warriors" "Today is a good day to die, but tomorrow is better. Unless, those doing the dying are six foot, mutated chipmunks with blaster rifles. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I should start at the beginning. If you ask me, the end makes a fine beginning. Things come together and things fall apart, and the fur flies a little easier with the help of a Rolling Thunderä shotgun, as long as that fur isn't mine, and I'm the one pulling the trigger. Yep, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, but I ain't Mr. Rogers."
"But, I should introduce myself, you can call me Ishmael. Just kidding, bit of classical allusion there. Call me Hobo, warrior, poet, and one fine-looking feline, that's me. See, all cats are warriors, at least at heart, and that's why I'm the best one to introduce the series, Warriors."
Warriors is a book series first published in 2003 by Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, under the pen name Erin Hunter, and introduced to me by cat and book lover Billy Waltz. The second series was written under the title Warriors: The New Prophecy. The third series, The Power of Three, and two more books, Firestar's Quest and Secrets of the Clans, are coming in 2007.
The series starts off with Into the Wild and a young "kitty pet"(house cat) name Rusty who yearns for adventure and has vivid dreams of the wilds. He meets a young feral cat, and this meeting leads to a chance to join a clan of wild cats called Thunderclan. He's renamed Firepaw and becomes an apprentice warrior. He finds himself in the middle of a tribal war with three other clans who coexist and compete for food and resources.
Allegiances are constantly shifting among the clans of warrior cats that roam the forest. With tensions so delicately balanced, former friends can become enemies overnight, and some cats are willing to kill to get what they want. Our young protagonist quickly moves from apprentice to warrior, to second-in-command, to leader of his clan. He must learn wisdom, deal with betrayal, and ultimately save his clan and the forest way of life.
The author has created an intriguing world with an intricate structure and mythology. There is intrigue, themes of loyalty, friendship and death, and an engaging young hero. The difficult life of a feral cat is described in some detail. (Oct. 16 is national feral cat day. Check out www.nationalferalcatday.org ) The cats, anthropomorphism aside, are true to their feline nature, which should delight cat and animal lovers alike. There is some violence. Some characters are killed through fighting and natural disasters, and there is treachery, betrayal and traitors, and even murder among the cats and clans, though it is crucial to the plot and not excessive.
Overall, I believe readers will find a fun-to-read series of books. Though not as elegantly written as Brian Jacques' Redwall series. The superb storytelling drew me into a realm so vivid that it could almost be real and I really came to care about the characters I found myself staying up late, with the old flashlight under the cover trick, to finish the books, and that Sand Storm sounds like a babe. Wonder what she's doing Saturday night? Hey, this cat is a fighter and a lover....

What our customer's say!
"one of the best books ever!", this book was awsome! the other warrior cat books are to. but this book was one of the best warrior cat books ever!read all the warrior books!!! :) elise m.
"Timely Transaction/Quality Merchandise", My grandchildren enjoy this series and can't wait for the next book in the series. They are eagerly awaiting my next purchase. They will own them all in time.
"Warriors: New Prophecy #6", Erin Hunter continues the saga of the clan cats. The perils of the new home are explored and we are set up for the next part of the saga. Hunter held my interest and fed my need to know more about these cats whom I have grown to love and admire. I am hopelessly hooked. My husband is amazed by the story. Every school should have this collection.
"Warriors book", This book was received in most excellent condition and shipped very promptly! I was extremely satisfied!
"Warriors, NP: Sunset", Last Book in the second series of Warriors, and I absolutely adored it. It only took me three hours to read, and made me cry and go 'awwwww' so many times!! I simply can't wait to get the next series, Power of Three, and am hoping it's as good as the first two series. Although, the ending did seem a bit rushed, overall it was a very enjoyable and satisfactory end to a lovely series.

"Sunset (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 6)", I loved it. The Warriors series is awesome. My daughter and I are hooked. We have the entire series and I can't wait until the new release in December 2007. We like the way each book picks up and continues. Sunset was very exciting and had a great ending. I'm a Warrior Cat fan!!!!
"A satisfying ending to a great series!", Okay, you've read about Firepaw\Fireheart\Firestar battling, making friends, fullfilling phrophecys ( I didn't spell that right, right? )and grieving for friend's deaths. I finsished the origional Warriors series with great saddness, only to be excited when I picked out the New Prophecy books at my library. I read about the son of Tigerstar- Brambleclaw, and Firestar's children, Leafpool and Squirrelflight. Admittedly, I thought the first two books dragged a bit, and then I read the 3,4,5 books. Finally, I read Warriors: Sunset. Here is this delightful book's plot: Brambleclaw is torn between his loyalty to his Clan, or to his thirst for power, which is tempted by his evil father, Tigerclaw. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw finally love eachother again, and Leafpool struggles with gaining her Clan's trust after running away (sorry, but I'm giving nothing much away ). It is a suspencful book, finishing with a superb climax. Here are some hints: Stormfur and Brook are back, Hawkfrost may have his father's dark heart, and there is a new deputy. This book deals with love, loyalty, secrets, trust, power and the ever-lasting good and bad. Believe me, you'll love this book, 'cause I sure did! Erin did a great job in wrapping up the series! Sincerely, Moonwhisker
"A Whole Lotta Buildup for Nothing (SPOILERS)", I think the things that bothered me the most about Sunset was that the completely jumped-up prophecy Yellowfang fed Firestar came down to the death of a single cat. Does anyone else out there feel that if they were told, more or less, that slaughter would drown them in blood, they'd still be waiting for the real thing to happen? Starclan: Oh no. Yeah, the cat bleeding into the lake is what we meant. Firestar: Gotcha. Whoof, sure glad that's over. I think I'd be yelling at my ancestors to get a handle on hyperbole, because I as a Clan leader would have enough to worry about ASIDE from dire threats of war, death, etc., etc. StarClan continually irritates me, because they react in limited ways: A) They refuse to help you; B) They refuse to lay it out pat for you, and instead throw out riddles and obscure prophecy when they DO decide to help you; C) They chide you with the fact that they do know what's coming, and man, it's going to suck, but they can't do anything to stop it; or D) Tell you there's nothing you can do to stop it, either. And let's not forget that Warrior Code everyone's gotta uphold! There have to be 4 Clans, but not really, because there were 5, and StarClan just decided not to tell you. Warriors, if a Clan dies because of tragedy, neglect, and apathy, that's fine. But don't you dare ruin the sacred laws by making friendships that form us all into one big Clan! Don't forget that StarClan is all-powerful, except when they tell you they aren't, but block the moon out to keep you thinking that. A cat is supposed to help any cat that asks for it, but Clan leaders who don't want to lose face by admitting they have starving elders and sick kits need not obey that rule. And while we're calling a spade a spade, there's not a single good deed of Firestar's that goes unpunished or unnoticed. The worldbuilding of Warriors is always pounded and broken to fit the plot. Surely, since there are hundreds of other books out there that are actually able to seal every plot hole, there's something better you could buy for your kids?
"Warriors rocks!!!!!!!", The devastating badger attack left me stunned, the death of Cinderpelt made me cry hard, cold tears. When Leafpool got the prophecy I was eager to find out what would happen next.Later, I couldn't believe that CHEATER Tigerstar was still after Firestar, with his sons Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost to help him(Brambleclaw didn't want to kill his leader). When Brambleclaw had to kill Hawkfrost to save Firestar it made me feel joyful that he was dead.Overall, I love this book.It screams awesome!!!!
"Great book", My daughter is 12 and loved this book. She is hooked on the whole series.
