Others say...
"WOW!" Wow! I went from a top of 54 MPS to 270 MPS! That is along with the Linksys WRT600 N wireless router. Internet speed test was about 4000 KBS before I used this adapter, now I am hitting 11849 KPS. I love it!
"Another great product by linksys" This unit is working absolutely great. Just like cpyao said make sure to insert it first before adding drivers then once the windows prompts you for driver location select the rom drive where the CD is located. Doing this allows you to not install the crappy software from linksys. Use windows to configure the wireless. And remember to use WPA2 AES settings allowing you to reach the 270mb/s. If you have XP you must download the kb update for this!!!! KB893357. If you have Vista it is already installed. Use the 5 ghz band. Doing this you will have to connect to the wireless id of the 5 ghz band not the 2.4. so make sure you give different ids for both the 5 and 2.4 ghz bands. then you will be good to go. Dont expect to get 270mbs after 30 feet from base. i get about 120 - 220 at 75 feet away.
"Wow, this adapter is just plain BAD" I have a WRT600N and paired it with this WPC600N and I can't believe how poorly it performs! 30 ft from the router and I'm getting 39Mb. I called Linksys for support and they didn't even know it had a 5GHz band. The only thing this is good for is skipping across a pond.
Linksys, this is a terrible product.
"wpc600n still has VERY BUGGY Drivers" This is NOT a card ready for mainstream enterprise wireless. It does not work well at all using enterprise 802.1x authentication methods. It does not support LEAP, and while the Client utility says it supports EAP-TLS, it does not work with the new Cisco AP1252. I compared this card to the new Intel MiniPCI Express 4965 abgn adaptor in the new Lenovo Thinkpad T61 laptops. The Intel adaptor worked with all types of EAP auth methods and worked well with both 20 and 40 MHz wide GHz MiMo channels for optimum 11n operation. I was only able to get 40 MHz MiMo to work on the Linksys card when I set up WPA-PSK which rules operation in an enterprise.
Four months after it's release, it still has V1.0 drivers from Linksys and still has very slow and cumbersome client utility.
The client utility frankly stinks compared to either the Intel Proset or the Atheros Client Utility (ACU).
Today; pass on this card and get the full 11n Draft 2 Intel 4965 laptop internal card.
"Great Wireless Adapter" This wireless adapter is great. I'm using it with the Linksys WRT600N Router. I've heard that people have had issues using the Linksys wireless utility that gets installed when you run the startup CD, so I installed the adapter first, and then when windows prompted me for a driver I put the cd in. That way I just used the CD for the drivers and did not install the wireless utility that comes with it. I haven't had any issues using the standard Windows wireless configuration tools. I would also recommend changing the radio band on the Linksys WRT600N router from Auto to the Wide-40mhz channel (for the 5ghz network only, leaving the 2.4ghz wireless network setting to auto) then connect to the 5ghz network using the WPC600N and have all of your other b, g and 2.4ghz-N devices connect to the 2.4ghz wireless network. This setup has worked great for me, I'm really happy with both products.

What our customer's say!
"Nothing but trouble", Tried installing as mentioned in other reviews--didn't matter. Internet speed SHOWS it's fast but the response is very, very slow.
Put older Linksys WPC100 card back in and connection works just fine. (Yes, I removed all the WPC100 software and rebooted before installing the WPC600).
I'm taking the WPC600N back. Too much hassle. Never buying Linksys again. (The WPC100's program causes memory crashes at shutdown. Lots on the internet about this. Linksys' programs stink.)
"good choice", i was looking to get better performance in terms of the range. it's a good choice for a wireless-N card.
"great adapter", works as advertised, connects to my apple airport with no trouble at all. setup software is quick and easy to use.
"Works great if you don't use the included software", This is a review based upon using this wireless card with a laptop running Windows XP and a Netgear dual band Wireless-N router with 8 internal antennas.
Bottom line up front: this card works great if you do not use the software that came with the device
At first, my experience with this card was very similar to the other reviews. The connection was extremely slow and I could not get it to switch from wireless-A to wireless-N. I could only use A on the 5.0 GHz frequency or G on the 2.4 GHz frequency. I tried restarting my computer, trying with and without my firewall and security software, restarted my router, et cetera, and the connection remained poor. However, once I turned off the wireless network monitor (the green icon that appears in the lower right after you install the driver) and simply connected through the Windows "choose a wireless connection" screen, my connection was very fast, reliable, and otherwise just like being connected with an Ethernet cable. Since then, I have had no problems and I no longer use the wireless network monitor that came on the installation CD. I am not recommending that you disregard the installation instructions, but I do recommend not using the wireless network monitor afterward. Just connect via Windows and the connection is great.
As I type this, there are two walls between my router and the wireless adapter and I still have signal strength of 4 bars (out of 5) and speed of 162 Mbps. Nearer to the router, I routinely get 5 bars and 297 Mbps.
Before trying this card, I used a USB 2.0 dual band wireless-N adapter and was very disappointed (and returned it after one day). The connection was fast but unreliable with the USB adapter (it would just disconnect for no apparent reason, even when I was only 6 feet from the router). This Linksys notebook card is a significant improvement and my USB port is now available once again.
"Not impressed, would not recommend", I have been running the WPC600N for a week, and it works okay, but does not remember my security key. Every time I log in, I have to retype the key which is very annoying.
My average connection speed is between 5.5 Mbps and 65 Mbps with little rhyme or reason as to why it is faster or slower.
I would not recommend this product until they clean up the software that comes with it, and even then, I am not impressed with the performance.
