"Looks like a great product, Not Mac compatible..."
This looks like a great product and, I'm sure it is. If and only if you own a PC. It completely failed to work on my Mac Mini (1.25GHz, G4) and MacBook Pro. If you have a Mac, make sure that the drive explicitly says Mac compatible, it'll cost you more, but it's worth it. I'm very happy now with a refurbed Lacie drive that only cost $10 more.

"I love this burner!"
The Liteon DVD burner arrived in seven days, with free shipping, looked exactly like the picture, was easy to install, and worked great on my PC with Windows XP. I burned 14 DVDs in the first 24 hours using PhotoStory 3. They took about 35 minutes each and the unit ran very cool and quietly. The next day I used the Lightscribe feature to burn 14 different labels. Each took about 16 minutes and came out beautifully. Fortunately I had copied detailed instructions from the internet showing three different options for designing the labels. If I had to rely only on the manual that came with the burner, I would have been lost. I loved using this item and can't wait to start another project. I look forward to the day when color label burning will be available. The only drawback was all the extra "stuff" that came with Nero, but I installed it all because I didn't know if I would be needing it to run the program. Now I need to get rid of some of it(such as Nero Search).

Iam very unhappy with this idem. After a month it just stop working. I have tried to get help from the company, no luck sofair.

It works just like stated! It's very quite and has burned almost all dvds without fail but my only concern is it shows on the dvd burner that it can burn dual layer but when i try to burn a dual layer dvd it just doesn't work but again the website shows that only dvd-rw, dvd-r, dvd+r are write compatible so i can't complain i guess.

But anyways if you are looking to burn like 4-5 dvds a week or so then this is the perfect product to buy!!

"Does the job"
It does the job, although not as easy as one would expect. Software is somewhat cumbersome and not as versatile as you would suspect from the screen. The scribe does not burn a vivid image and is limited as to what you see is not what you get. Maybe I'm just too old.
