"Should've been included with system", PSP 2000 Console - Piano Black

The only reason to buy this is because of the remote control which i believe is essential for the psp to be a portable music/video player. Headphones are suppose to allow you to hear the music and sounds better than if you weren't wearing them and with the psp in a normal noisy environment for me, i can barely hear it. Why does an ipod do a better job when it is so much smaller?
The control itself is lighter but less solid than the previous one, it feels worst in terms of the material and the buttons feel like they're going to fall off after some use, it also lacks a clip. The previous control is way better than this one.
Should've came with the system since they've been marketing the psp as a portable gaming console and music/movie player. To me they should price it at $9.99

"only got it for use with mic", the only problem i have with this item is that it wasn't packaged with my psp. i'm with the person who said shame on sony for making you shell out another $20-30 for headphones, but that said the remote works perfectly with the headset (which is a little bulky but i'll deal) and the earphones are very comfortable

"Good price,nice earphone", If you have you a sony psp, why miss this sony earphone? Better than some other earphones. I should say I like this one, I always use it to play games and wathc movies. Just recommend,not very strongly.

"Big waist of money...", I bought these headphones thinking that it would enhance the sound from your PSP, but sadly it does not... the quality of the headphone are cheap, and plain out a waste of money!! I would not recommend you owning a pair unless you get them from a friend free. Another thing, they should be free, with the purchase of the PSP ($160)....

"PSP Headphones Work Well", PSP 2000 headphones work well. Good sound. Make sure you buys these if you have the PSP 2000 or slim.

"Works Great", The Headphones work perfectly and the remote gives you easy access to all the main PSP multimedia controls.

"mix up", i bought this product for the SLIM PSP, i cant believe that someone sent me the origional psp remote, people need to think,plus this was a friends christmas gift because he couldnt find one anywhere, so now what a christmas present in january, thats neat

"Terrible", While the headphones themselves are decent, the remote part of this product is completely unusable. If you listen carefully, you'll hear a soft bzz...bzz...bzz... continuously in the background whenever the remote is plugged into your PSP. I've tried multiple headphones plugged straight into the PSP and have not had this problem. I've also tried plugging different sets of headphones into this remote (the headphones that come with this are detachable, so any set of headphones can be used with the remote section), and no matter which pair I use, I hear the buzzing noise.

I know this problem isn't unique to me either. I've come across posts on various online forums where other users have this problem too.

I love my new PSP-2000, but Sony really screwed up with this headphone/remote control set. There really is no reason to buy this product. Just spend your money on a nice set of headphones and hope that Sony releases a fixed remote control.

"Should be free!!!!!!", Why aren't these already in the box that my PSP came with? I should NOT need to buy them seperately!!! Selling the PSP without including the headphones takes some nerve and Sony should be ashamed.
