"X4 Wireless Headphones"
Excellent service from Amazon. You will be getting more business from me. Thanks.

"Awesome headset"
this headset is amazing. It gives you an unblievable edge in fps games (cod4 especially, gears of war 2, halo 3, RV6)

easy to install, full surround sound.

I was amazed when i first turned it on. I thought i was listening to the tv without them, thats how good they are.

The sound is clear, and its great for online gaming tournaments such as gamebattles.

"Great Product!!!"
Ear Force X4 is the first set of "real" headphones I've ever purchased. The set up is super easy to set up and takes less than two minutes. The surround sound is great!! I definably feel that it has influence my game. Example, in COD4 you can hear other players around you, resulting in a better periphery experience (you can hear where your team is at and also when an opponent is sneaking up behind you to stab you in the back).
The headphones have also brought peace to my home. The wife is no longer yelling at me (or at least I can't hear her) to turn the volume down. I'm also not yelling into the mike due to the fact I can hear myself through the system.
The only draw back that keeps this product from achieving 5 stars is the "hiss" you hear during online play. It is not that distracting, but is constantly present. Playing without chat does eliminate it, but where's the fun in that?
I would positively recommend this product for all hard core gamers!

"Best out there,"
This is not a perfect product, you can see that the materials and construction is far from perfect. But it works fine, sounds great and it is wireless. I really recommend it.

"Awesome Sound"
I bought these for my husband for his recent birthday since he plays a lot of xbox360 and he loves them! The sound is fabulous; both of us were amazed at how full the sound was. It doesn't even sound like its coming out of headphones, simply from the room around you. He's the expert and I'm the lay person in the family for electronics but we both love the headphones. My only small complaint, if it even could be called that, would be that they are a bit too big for my head even on the smallest setting. They fit my husband perfectly though so they are probably sized primarily for men. However, the headband and ear cups are plush and quite comfortable. Definitely worth the money!

What our customer's say!

"The 5.1 Headphone advantage", These headphones are the perfect add-on for the xbox. They provide excellent sound quality (lots of bass with bass boost turned on), and excellent player microphone audio control and quality. They are the perfect solution if you are hearing complaints about the "constant war battles in the living room" from others in the house.

I did not experience any noticeable hiss unless I turned the headphones well above the normal play level with no game sounds playing (manual says some plasma displays can induce hiss due to IR emissions). Directional sound works very well and provides an advantage in hearing opponents coming from behind. Quality is good and considering this is a full 5.1 digital decoder, price is reasonable. They are comfortable and I'm still on my original set of batteries in the wirelewss headset after about 15 hrs of play. Comes with an optical cable for the pass-thru audio so it's easy to switch to external sound system since the pass thru is always active as long as the unit has power on. Velour ear cups are comfortable and durable (not the cheap foam or faux leather that disintegrates). Also easily removable to wash or replace. Highly recommended for the serious gamer.

"Great Crisp Sound", I bought these headphones to play my favorite XBOX 360 games at late nights, while enjoying a high quality sound. The ear fore x4 offers a great quality sound with great bass feature. It gives good surround like performance, very close to the real thing. I love the compatibility with the XBOX 360 console. I love the ear cups design, they are firm and comfy.
The only thing I did not like is the background noise, which is very difficult to suppress with IR systems. But, once the main signal is received, this noise is barely noticeable. The ear cups leather edge was slightly torn because the way the manufacturer packs the system, which provides some friction between the ear cups and the base of the transmitter. The manufacturer could avoid this small problem by providing some kind of insulation between the ear cups and the base of the transmitter.
Overall, these headphones are great.

"Great sound", Pros:
Great Sound
Very comfortable

Cons :
Price
Hissing sound when no sound comes from media device optical or analog

Great buy , especially if your a XBox360 owner

"Advantage For You", These are THE headphones to get for any Xbox 360 player who wants wireless sound.

I'll start with the bad, to get it out of the way. There are 3-4 "flaws" with these headphones, which I found easy fixes for.

1. The "HISS": Aim the component at where you are sitting, reduces is it largely. Also, Plasma TVs cause a lot of extra hiss, interference. Says it right in the manual. I have LCD. Also, if you CRANK these things, you hear it when there is silence.

2. They break easily: UMMMMM... yeah, if you mistreat them. Why would you? I've had this pair for a while now, I've even accidently "stretched" them a few times. Nothing. If you are afraid, buy them from a store with a protection plan. Its worth it just for the piece of mind.

3. Batterys: They are wireless, ok so they don't recharge... but every house should get a battery recharger and 2-3 sets of wireless batterys over time. Constant batteries, and I never have to buy again. Cost me no more then $50-60 for a long long time of endless batteries for controllers, remotes, and headphones.

4. Connections: People have complained you need certain wires to connect it to your 360, but most HD TVs now-a-days have the digital output connection on the back of the TV. I'm easily hooked up for all my devices and XBox through HDMI.

OK, with that out of the way. These headphones are incredible. Perfect sound, 20+ hours of life, incredible features, lightweight, comfortable. If these aren't everything you want in a pair of wireless headphones, nevermind xbox360, there is either something wrong with you, or you already have the wrong equipment.

"Only one negative!", Like everyone else is saying, these headphones are amazing! My wife asked if there was anyway she could stop hearing all the shooting going on in my favorite games (Halo 3, CoD4). I said sure, but it's not gonna be cheap! She didn't care so I took the plunge on these and couldn't be happier!

The feedback loop that plays your own voice back through the speakers is fantastic. Sound quality is just as spot on as my home theater system.

The only negative is the line of sight issue, but if you can't see your TV you probably don't need to hear anything either! A must buy in my opinion!

"The best Wireless headset available for gaming!", This headset was designed by an Xbox live user who knows about the importance of 5.1 surround sound in gaming today. There is a hiss when no other sounds are playing, (which comes with every wireless headset) but it is no longer an issue when there is continuous sound. You can't hear through walls, but as long as you're in the same room as your receiver you will have great reception. I have noticed no distortion from turning my head in my room. With the great surround sound (which grants me the ability to watch movies with great satisfaction) the ability to lower the voice incoming from live users makes this by far the best available headset available. If you have a family like me or you want to play online games with the best surround sound than this is the best option.

"Good sound quality... except for the hiss", I've had my Ear Force X4's for a few weeks now and they've been okay. Sound quality is fairly good although I'm not convinced that they really reproduce surround sound. If you're playing video games, however, they suffice as you learn quickly to localize sounds (as in COD4) by turning slightly and tracking how the sounds move. The headphones are somewhat heavy and after a couple of hours are somewhat uncomfortable for me. Wireless reception is really good and you can get 20 feet away and at odd angles and it will still work. There is, as many have noticed, a moderately loud hiss that you won't notice if there is sound going on, but once its quiet, you will hear it. This hiss has nothing to do with whether or not you have a plasma TV, which apparently causes a different type of interference with the wireless IR connection. Battery life seems to be good and overall build quality of the headphones seems appropriate for the price.

"Sounds like Gold", These headsets do what they set out to do. They sound solid & feel solid. Sound is sent via a router like device that works better than the previous X3 models in that those didn't handle something getting in the way of the beam very well. 5.1 sound simulation is spot on. So if playing a game like COD4, you'll know or have a solid lead on your enemy with this headset. Listening to entertainment on the X3s is great as well. So watching & enjoying your entertainment without waking anyone or annoying anyone is solid. Wonder what the X4s will be like after trying this headset? Only problem's were that the battery life didn't last as long as I'd love but not the headset's fault. Plus random hissing or warping sounds are heard if a cell phone is near the headsets receiving.

"pretty nice...", these headphones are a bit expensive, but do work as advertised.

i've used them with halo3, cod4, and rockband.

sound quality is very good. the bass boost adds low end, although the thump of the bass pedal in rockband is not quite included in the spectrum.

the surround sound is decent, but not earth shattering. it's better than stereo in that sounds do seem a little more out away than normal headphones, where it feels more like the sound is in your head.

i was hesitant to purchase for fear there would be a delay while the optical signal is processed. this would be especially critical with rhythm games like rockband/guitar hero. i was very pleased to find zero delay.

the chat during gaming works perfectly. there is no difficulty hearing others, and being able to hear yourself while while transmitting helps alot.

the headset is relatively light and comfortable. i especially like the material used on the earpads.

as others mention, there is a hiss during silence. i can't hear it at all during gameplay.

so, to sum it up, like the opening statement..... pricey for sure. they are exactly as represented though. no negative suprises.

are they worth buying? for me, yes. as long as they hold up, i'll be getting my money's worth without a doubt.

"almost true surround", for the cost I want a little more not just sound from the genaral direction but if i hear gun fire i should be able to pin point location after second shot not just over there some where. For the over all performance i would not get any thing other than the ear force x4 no one complained about my voice unless the mike was pulled away from my mouth, some times that is a plus. I like it.
