"ID vault: don't bother", Was given an IDvault, and found it to have too many bugs to be useful. More important, it's a financial trojan horse: to use it is $40 PER YEAR.

Issues I found:
- it got confused by multi-tab Firefox
- memory hog (over 1/2 GB total memory image after a day's use)
- not compatible with about 1/3 of the sites I work with (particularly shopping ones)...and it even thought that this "submit review" page was a site it had to keep tabs on (even though it's not a login page).
- sluggish user interface
- systray menu can't be accessed by mouse
- software won't let you undock a laptop from the docking station as long as the IDvault is plugged in
- support almost non-existent (just try to find out how to contact them!)
- website page for suggesting sites that don't work with IDvault is buggy, blows up if you have a "right-caret" or "left-caret" character in your text
- according to their website, ceases to work if you don't pay them $40 a year. This information is very very well hidden throughout the purchase and install process.
- the box offers a 60-day money back guarantee, but the website and the internal documentation provides no information on how to get your money back. most retailers won't give your money back after 30 days, and that's assuming you didn't open the box.

In summary, this thing is a VC's dream and a customer's nightmare. I'm returning mine as soon as I can figure out how.
