"These are the best value for 8X DL disks", I am on my fourth batch of these disks, using a Samsung S183L to read and a Lite On LH-20A1s to write with Nero 8 without a single coaster so far. It has turned into a commodity of sorts, just check the prices often and be patient.

"Memorex Needs to Seriously Rethink their Product Quality", I Recently Purchased this at a price of 45$, roughly 90 cents a DVD, I was impressed by the first 6 or 7 that I burned, but then I hit a streak of coasters. In the end, Only 40 Worked, meaning That, in actuality, I paid $1.12 for each DVD I used. That Is unacceptable. Memorex needs to fix this.
Because of this, I would Recommend buying PHILIPS DR8S8B00F/17 100PK 8X DVD+R DL - DOUBLE LAYER, 8.5GB, I did so, and so Far not one has burned. They cost $0.98 a DVD, and thus are cheaper. Or you can buy Verbatim, which is even more reliable, but costs a little more.

Whatever you do, stay away from Memorex until they can fix their Coaster Issues.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Waste of Money!", So after spending a full weekend burning a bunch of these, I come to find out almost all of them have some kind of issue about 3/4 into the movie to where they are not playable. Only about 2 out of 10 worked with no issues. What a waste of time and money. Read the other reviews. Don't buy these. Since I have already used about 10, they are probably not returnable so what a waste of $50 and a lot of time burning them! If I could have given no stars, I would have.

"Memorex DVD-DL discs", There is a bad problem in writing to these discs. Even several DVD Software programs warn against using them.

"Double layer DVD", These Memorex double layer DVD+R discs perform as expected. I use these discs for recording files or programs that are too large to fit on a single layer DVD. Backups of my operating system or diagnostic programs are two examples - things that can't be compressed to fit on a single layer DVD.

"Working well for me", Purchased in the middle of June 2008, burning well on a Mac Pro with a Sony DVD RW DW-D150A burner using Toast.

"Not one coaster.", I've been backing up my DVD collection and ran through one of these packs already. I had no problems whatsoever. I burned them all at 4x because of some of the complaints I heard and not knowing whether my drive supported it. So there it is. A+ for Memorex.
