"Great photo editor", Great photo editing software. Does not have all the features of the full version but it doesn't have the full version price either. So far Elements has met my needs.

"Nice tools but strange behavior", I've been using PSE 5 without difficulty for the graphics of my new book. I had hoped that PSE 6 would have CMYK capability but it doesn't. Fortunately I have been able to work around this by transferring my cover design into MS Publisher and letting it convert to CMYK.

But what has really confounded me about PSE 6, which was not a problem at all in PSE 5, was that when I insert (drag-and-drop) my back cover page onto the full cover on the workdesk, it automatically resizes the back cover page to the wrong size - despite the resolutions being the same. I'm sure there must be another way to do this but it all was so simple in PSE 5 and I can't imagine why they would want to make it so complicated in PSE 6. Interestingly, if I use the full Photoshop version CS3, it works exactly like PSE 5.

The lack of a help file is also very annoying, but again, others have mentioned a work-around.

Bottom line, a few nice features but sufficient anxiety provoking idiosyncrasies that I'd probably recommend to avoid this version until some of these issues are resolved.

"Terrific photo editing tool", This is sophisticated but easy to use photo editing software. Photos can be fixed automatically with one click or painstakingly with histograms. Selection of sections or objects for adjustment, movement or removal is simple and precise. Touch up tools are easy to use and effective. There is a full range of effects. Elements offers 80% of an expert's tool box with a novice's convenience and at a novice's price.

"Darkroom past", What an improvement from the hours and days in the dark room....non-destructive photoshop is the versatile product that I have wanted for some time. Finally coming to the digital age with camera and processing, I can appreciate the package that Elements presents.
For my use, it contains most of my needed adjustment for some pretty impressive photo work.
I appreciate it's intuitive layout and the control in applying it's adjustments. The non-destructive "negative" preservation is essential.
I have used a number of Apple programs, some photo imaging programs and find that this one is most complete. I will probably find that I will need to move up to Photoshop professional, but I find this package is well done for most of my needs.

"Easy to use!", I have used PhotoShop since 2000 and couldn't afford CS3, so I had to settle with this version, which is good for the everyday person that doesn't need the experienced animation and ditigal effects. I am very happy with it and it is useful for my photobook or scrapbooking needs! I would recommend it to anyone that has used Gimp or PhotoShop. The other issue I have is that I am using Vista and this is the only older version that is compatable with it!

"Great software, not rebate ", This software is great for the user who wants more than the default apps from Windows have to offer. Look on the many independant reviews online for the feature set. Shipping was fast, but the bad packaging caused both orders of this software to have crushed boxes and broken plastic cases. Also, I sent the rebate in soon after I recieved the product and have yet to see the status of the rebate online. Another thing about the rebate--it requires previous ownership of select photo editing programs to qualify. But the program after installation is amazing.

"Photoshop Elements 6", This is the answer for organizing....I have 100's & 100's of pics. and needed to organize them, this is such an easy way to do it. It also has so many other things you can do to /with your pictures, I haven't tried everything yet, but so far I have been VERY pleased!!

"Review of Photoshop Elements", After years of hesitation, I finally bit the bullet and puchased a copy of Photoshop Elements. I've tried their trial versions in the past, and I've used another brand for a dozen years, but the Adobe products of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are the standard.

Positives - incredible array of feautures at this price point; great in-product help and on-line resources; additional resources in print and other sites

Negatives - needs lots of RAMor it willl run very slowly; not very intuitive.

If you have room for it's installation size and RAM to help it run well, it can be a great low-cost solution. I would recommend the Photoshop Elements 'Classroom in a Book' or other guides to help understand the vast array of features and benefits.

"PhotoShop Elements 6 for Mac", Sometimes when buying an upgrade to an application it is hard to see the improvements, That is not the case with PS6 for Mac. It is a great improvement over the previous versions. Easy to use and lots of new features..
