"It's a keeper, but good be better..."
I am in love with the LED back-lighting as I do a lot of work at night and don't care to have a light on. This keyboard is typical Logitech quality; the keys are nice to the touch, not too loud, and have a quick response. The buttons are in the standard layout and size as well. My few quirks with the keyboard are the lack of a volume wheel (much easier to quickly change the volume), the LCD could be slightly larger to fill the space, and the back-lighting can only change brightness, not color (not sure if any keyboards do this currently without a hardware hack). As you can see, these aren't major issues at all, but rather something Logitech can take into consideration for their next model.

"Awesome product, awesome price!"
I replaced my older version with this newer one and I can't say I'm not happy. The keys must have ESP b/c they almost hit themselves. The reduction of amount of macro keys through me off at first. However, after actually looking at my macro pages, I really only use all of them at work. As far as gaming, the on the fly functionablity and the three pages is just enough to keep you on top of your game. I recommend this product whole heartedly and if you can get it at the 20 I paid, I'd jump on it. Good luck everyone! Happy Gaming!

"Good keyboard that lights up"
My computer is in a closet, and the lighting is behind me, so I needed a keyboard that I could see when it was nighttime and it was in my shadow. This fit that bill very well.

I haven't used any of its other functions at all.

"perfect"
everything went perfect, the shippment and the product were just as expected and i have nothing to complain about.
the keyboard is the dream of every player in the world and i have to say im really trilled by it.

"Almost perfect gaming keyboard"
This is an excellent product. I really like the profiles already set up for various games that allow info to be shown on the LCD screen. The only thing I would improve is for there to be default macros assigned to keys G1-G6 for each game.

What our customer's say!

"Great Keyboard", Really like the fuctions on the LCD dispay. Very useful when gaming and a must for ventrillo users.
Keys are a little small but I'm getting used to it.
Overall very well build. Fantastic price on Amazon too

"Expensive and haven't found much use for the fancy features yet", I bought a Gateway P-6831 FX gaming laptop and I absolutely hated the position of the Fn key - I wish it were between L ctrl and the Windows Key rather than in the far back left corner. I never got used to it after trying for over two weeks. I noted that I never play games except at home, so I decided to go for a docking station type setup with a laptop cooler, USB hub, this keyboard and a Logitech G5 mouse.

This keyboard layout took a little getting used to. I'm used to having my hand hover over the left side while gaming with WASD. Typing is fine since my hands are better aligned. I would sometimes be hitting the G6 button instead of L ctrl, but after a mistake, it's quickly fixed for the rest of the session. Though, the possibility of making the error at the start of a session always exists.

I haven't found much use for the LCD or G macro keys. I don't even look down at my keyboard and it's resting on a keyboard tray so half the time it's hidden by the desk. I haven't got a feel for the G keys, so I would have to look down to make sure I was hitting the right key. I sometimes missed my esc key and hit G1 and that could cause a lot of problems.

In the end, I disabled the G macro keys, don't even look at the LCD, have the windows key disabler permanently switched on, and use the media key functions instead of the ones found on my laptop. Over 2x the price just for the backlight and glow that matches my laptop basically.

I've looked on G15 fan sites for plugins for the LCD and macro ideas for the games I played, but I haven't found anything useful beyond what I did with a normal keyboard and what I can normally bring up on my screen in an instant.

"Solid Backlit keyboard", I had been looking for a backlit keyboard for a long time, but most of them seem to be very pricey. I finally found this one on sale for about half off and it's excellent. The key action is very smooth and quiet and the keys feel solid. The backlight is nice and I have no problems reading the keys at night. I have only used the LCD a little bit, but do far it has been very useful. I like the feature to turn off the windows key, who hasn't hit that in a game and been pulled out to the desktop! I'm very happy with the purchase and would buy another.

"Very nice keyboard", Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3L4J1VHH6KP60

"Awful Keyboard", Sent this back as defective.Anytime I would play Age of Conan the WSAD keys would bug out and my char would stop moving right. I have a feeling it was due to the poor design of the keyboard with the lights underneath not letting enough pressure hit key.

"G15 Works great.", My G15 works great. I do a lot of programming and the g buttons come in handy for commonly typed lines. Typing on it has a really good feeling. Its nice to have information and stats all right at your fingertips. If you use LCD Studio you can create some of your very own screens and put the information you want on there. I currently have CPU, Memory, HD, Music, and Weather running on mine. The only downfall of the new ones is the orange color. It was awkward at first but I guess they are alright. Overall its a nice keyboard and types very well.

"Not worth the money - at all!", I was going to buy a cheaper, nicer looking offering from Saitko but I was talked into the G15 by my friends (thanks guys). They all have the older blue-lit one and apparently it is superior to this new orange-lit one (and prettier to look at in the dark).

Normally Logitech makes a fantastic product so I'm surprised these are such junk. Like many others I've had the key I'm pressing just stop registering. A few times, it has stuck and my character won't stop running around or jumping or filling the screens with the letter "s" over and over.

In addition, the keys just don't register very well and their design is really poor. Some are really sensitive but others aren't. Some depress easily and some don't. And still others are "Squishy" and stick. Unfortunately, that is the case with my spacebar of all dang keys. You know how often you use the spacebar? My typing speed has plummeted because I have to press the spacebar key sometimes 3 or more times before it registers because it hasn't lifted back up since the last time I used it - and when I do press on it it takes a lot of pressure to get it to go down. It feels like air is getting under it. Weird, I've never had a keyboard act like this one.

In the end, I'm not really impressed. You get a cool looking keyboard and lit keys, but you pay out the nose for it. And it doesn't work very well - so the people it is designed for (serious computer folks) are going to get tired of its behavior really fast.

Oh, almost forgot to mention. You only get a 1-year warranty on this pile. Even Logitech knows it is a junk product. If you buy one, hopefully you'll get a good one that will last for you.

"Orange Glow Goodness", Received next day as promised with rush delivery thanks to Amazon Prime, packaged well and as expected. Great backlit keyboard, and fairly bright but not too bright orange backlit keys. I actually can't stand having the orange glow turned off while typing now even in the day time because I'm so used to it. I bought and use it for general use as well as gaming (World of Warcraft). I don't use the function keys as much as I hoped. They're out of my comfort zone for reaching, but it's still a nice board.

The issues people have had with the gamepanel display software are true, hence not 5 stars. It has trouble detecting keysets, my "game mode" toggle switch to disable windows buttons while in games does absolutely nothing, and I have once or twice had the entire board (and mouse as it's plugged into the USB hub) lock up on me for no reason and had to reconnect it to fix. Not a huge deal to me, but it isn't perfect.

Also, the USB hub seems to freeze up and reset the board and connected devices for about 30 seconds whenever I connect a new device to it (flash drives particularly), but this could be something with my USB controller I guess. I don't use USB 2.0 on this system.

The negative said, I think it's still a nice keyboard. Comfortable to use, easy to see, no problems with lettering wearing after a month of heavy use. Oh, and the gamepanel (when it decides to work with it) is very sweet to have in Wow...it tells me when people whisper me and what my main stats and % are in current combat form and gear. (The supposed ventrilo feature of seeing who's talking has never worked for me yet.)

"Simply bad A$$", Well thought out keyboard. Nice feel on the keys.

I use it to play COD 4 and Crysis. Works really well with xFire and Ventrilo for clan play/communications.

Wish they had put headphone/Mic ports instead of USB connectors on the back of the keyboard.

"Good but Saitek just released the Cyborg series", Saitek PK17U Cyborg Gaming Keyboard with Tri-Color Backlighting

I have owned just about every gaming keyboard there is including the Logitech G15, which was my favorite until the Saitek's Cyborg line of gaming gear, including an intense keyboard, came out a month or so ago. I like the way the keys feel and the layout of the macros is great. It is more than worth a look before purchasing anything else. Another factor in the Cyborg's favor is the back-lighting which can only be described as unique like you would not believe; you can assign blocks of keys you use most often (W,A,S,D) a different color then the remainder of the keyboard. The Cyborg mouse is also unique in that in order to elongate it to get it to fit your hand you have to use the software which starts a motor in the mouse which sizes it automatically. Neat stuff but I admit I have given it to my son and gone back to my Razer, which fits like a glove. My 2nd favorite gaming keyboard has to be the simple Microsoft 4000 ergonomic which I find to be very comfortable for certain games where practical.
