Others say...
"Daxter Pack--Great Fun!" My husband got this for me, just because. (Thanks honey!) The last hand-held I owned was a Nintendo SP. I've been into playing video games since the Atari. (Too young for Pong.) Anyway, from what I saw in the stores and of the research I've done, this has surpassed my expectations.
The screen is gorgeous to look at and it makes your pictures pop. I'm playing Daxter and I don't want to put it down.
As nice as the other ones looked too, you can't go wrong with this Daxter pack: with the memory card and the Family Guy episodes included.
I can't wait to surf the net, listen to music, and watch videos & movies on this thing.
I recommend this for older children, or make sure you get a good carrying case/etc.
And with Amazon's excellent service, tax free and free shipping...it definitely makes me want to come back shopping again.
"PSP Review" The product was intended for my 7-year old's birthday and she loves it. It has good graphics and is easy for her to work with. She should get a few good years out of it!
"Great handheld device!" I got this pack for my son for his birthday. He is loving the PSP and it was nice to have a game come with it so he could try it out right away.
"August 2008 Review" It's 2008 and the PSP is 3 years old. As a device, it is very functional, has a beautiful screen, intergrated wifi, and responsive buttons. The systems they are releasing right now are slightly modified from the original, but the differences are pretty nominal. The bundles that are available for $199 are a great value, as you get a memory stick, and your choice between a few games.
As with any system, that's what the PSP experience boils down to, the games themselves. I personally feel that the PSP has a pretty good library of games available, and you can purchase many of the older games used for $10 - $20. This creates a vast library of affordable games that the average person will find enjoyment playing. This being said however, it doesn't seem that there are too many games being released for the system, although there are a few ones coming worth note.
However, there are a lot of games on the system that are simply inferior ports of Playstation 2 games, and although the PSP is comporable in power, the games simply are not as good or have the same polish as the console versions, but that is a forced criticism, as we are comparing a portable system to a home console.
If you don't need the portability, then go for a PS2 or a newer system, as your gaming experience will be richer. If you are looking for a fun and portable diversion that mimics PS2 games to varying degrees of success, than I would suggest the PSP, but there are very few games available for it that you cannot find elsewhere.
Vídeos, aún no he tenido la experiencia, estoy pegadisimo jugando

What our customer's say!
"Great handheld", After much research and internal debate, I decided to go with the older, safer version of the PSP. I had heard a lot about the screen issues on the 3000, so I went with the Daxter pack. I am glad I did. The screen looks great and I have little issue with it. It is light, looks great and plays well. This package, obviously, comes with Daxter. I started playing it and it's a fun game. It also comes with a 1 GB memory card and a Family Guy UMD. I had previously only played the initial release of the PSP, and the load times seem to have improved. If you're thinking of getting a PSP, you may want to snag this version before you are only allowed to buy a 3000, or you may want to wait until the 3000's screen issues are resolved.
"excellent new design and great game along with it.", The design and color was this new PsP are great. I had one of the older ones for a few months before this one, I dropped it once and the door to the games broke open and wouldn't lock shut again. But with this one, if dropped the door won't do that because of it's new design. But other than that, screen is a bit better and brighter, the silver coloring is very nice compared to the black glossy color and you can see every finger print on it, so don't have that problem with the new silver. Daxter was totally great, story was a lot of fun, the movies it mimicked was the best. Such as Matrix and Braveheart(I think that's what it was), also some others i can't quite remember. All and all, this thing is great and will provide fun many years to come with new games coming out.
"psp game", While i dont like the game really. I love that i can watch videos in peace. I love the clear sound. I just am not really into playing the games.
"It was a present for my son", Thank you for giving a gift to my son... He plays it all the time...
"Excellent overall package", Approximately nine months after having received this package as a gift, I can say that it has certainly delivered. In terms of hardware, the silver PSP matches nicely parked next to a silver PS2 and has proven surprisingly solid, shaking off a couple of drops. The screen has also gathered only the most minimal "buff" lines on the screen despite never being covered with protectors or the like.
The PSP is quite capable, such as seamlessly playing shuffled songs in the background while looking through photos. You can even set new wallpaper without interrupting the music. Only outright deleting a file from a memory card will disrupt play. Other neat features include wma play (with a downloaded update), high-quality mp4, a nice little web browser, 4 levels of screen brightness (the highest only when plugged in), and more.
The included game in this pack is itself excellent, Daxter being a top-notch platformer. The included 1GB is certainly enough to satisfy, though I picked up a 4GB card myself. The Family Guy UMD is merely a nice enough little extra.
Games that I've enjoyed most on the machine (besides Daxter) include Silent Hill Origins, R-Type Command, and Castlevania:DxC.

Read this reviews before You buy...
"fun game but too short", I love the silver psp the glossy finish makes it look and feel much more luxurious. The new slim model is lighter, and gets better battery life it comes with a 1gb memory stick a family guy dvd and dexter game the game is fun but short and easy.
"Best value for the price", I chose to get this bundle because of the extras it comes with. The family guy and daxter were a nice touch even though I don't care for platform games. I was pleased to know that it came with a 1gb memory card so I didn't have to buy it separately. That alone is a good reason to buy this bundle. Even if you don't like family guy and Daxter. Although now there are more bundles...
I was skeptical to buy another Silver hand-held console as I had a few bad experiences with them. I got the limited edition Silver GBA a few years back and the silver started to flake off with a week after I bought it revealing a grey case. It was very disappointing. The silver PSP, however, is nothing like that. It has a nice gloss the prevents the coloring from flaking off and the actual plastic itself is silver and it's not just painted. I'm glad I picked this bundle despite my reservations on the silver coloring.
Shipped quickly and arrived just as the picture displays; safe and sound and sparkly. I love the silver.
I would recommend getting a case or skin and a Hori brand screen protector as the system can get scratched easily. I have a skin and screen protector on my system and the skin has some nasty 'picks' and scratches on it. Protect your investment.
"Incredible.", This is my first psp, though i own a ps3 but this is just too much. I love my psp so much. You can take it anywhere at anytime, his light weight makes it more easy to carry about and more fun to play with. The design and structure makes it very comfortable to hold and play with, the buttons are well position and the battery life is suprisingly ok, the picture quality wow! is simply incredible. This package is simply the best for me, because it came with a 1gig sony memory stick pro card which is very useful to me at present and the game Daxter and the family guy umd are very entertaining and funny because it makes me laugh alot. For now everything is intact and i am having a swell time with my psp. This is surely a good buy to me! .PSP Daxter Entertainment Pack - Ice Silver
"The PSP-2000. Amazing System.", Now, first off, let me tell you. I'm a Nintendo freak. I love Nintendo, have every system, handheld and portable, from the N64 onward. I faithfully stuck with my Gamecube and ignored the super-successful PS2. I to this day have a strong disliking of the PS3, and most things Sony.
One exception to my Sony disliking. The PSP.
The reason I mentioned my Nintendo fanboyism is to show that this is not a Sony-biased review. The PSP truly is an amazing system.
The reasons I got a PSP? Mostly Skype, more in-depth games, and portable internet access without jumping through a bunch of hoops.
I'll be reviewing all the abilities and features in the PSP-2000 system. So, here I go.
The Hardware. The new PSP is much slimmer, lighter, and feels great in your hands. The entire system is glossy, as opposed to the old matte back. There are no longer those strange bulb-ish things on the back. It's flat now. The UMD Slot has beem simplified. (People have complained about it feeling cheap and flimsy. It's not that bad. Just be gentle with it, and it'll be fine) The Memory Stick slot has also been simplified. The D-Pad feels more like a D-Pad, and less like a mushy button. There are more minor changes, but I'll leave it at that. The hardware itself is great.
Now, the different parts of the software.
The main menu, AKA the XcrossMediaBar. It's looks a little intimidating at first, but it's very easy to use, and you can easily get to whatever you want to get to. The next parts will be parts of menu.
Settings. Basically, it's just the various system settings. USB Connection and Theme Settings are probably the only ones you're really use much.
Pictures. There are 2 options in this part; Camera and Memory Stick. -There is no PSP Camera in the USA yet, so you won't be paying much attention to that function. -For memory stick, you can keep your photos. You can set them as wallpapers, zoom, rotate them, and play slideshows.
Music. Now, the PSP has a so-so battery life of about 5-6 hours. So, really, the PSP isn't the ideal MP3 player. I use my Zune for music most of the time. But, I still do use my PSP for music when it's convenient. It has excellent playback quality, and a really nifty visual player.
Videos. I don't really use this feature as much. There can be up to 2 different options for the video menu. -If you have a UMD Video inserted, there will be a UMD button there. -There's also the videos you keep on the memory stick. I only have a few Coldplay music videos and some game trailers on there that I downloaded from Google Video. Though the screen resolution of the PSP is higher than the average portable media system, it still has very crisp video playback (depending on the initial quality of the video).
Games. The options here are Game Sharing, Saved Data, UMD, PSP Update, and Memory Stick. -Now, I've never successfully used Game Sharing, so I couldn't exactly tell you what it does. I'm assuming you can send demo versions of games to friends, though. -Saved data can show you all the games you've saved. -UMD only appears when a UMD disk is in the system. It, of course, allows you to play games. -PSP Update is something I promise you you'll never use. UMDs come with system updates on them. For example, Daxter comes with firmware version 2.60, whereas the current firmware (as of when this review was written) is 3.95. You'll be downloading your firmware from the PSP website. -Memory Stick allows you to play games/demos/upgrade downloaded firmware. For example, I have 3 games on my Memory Stick. LocoRoco, echochrome, and FlOw.
Network. You can do many things with your PSP on network. LocationFree TV, Skype, Remote Play, Internet Radio, RSS Channel, and Web Brower. -LocationFree TV allows you to connect to your LocationFree base station (If you have one) and watch TV on your PSP. -Skype allows you to make voice calls. Free to other Skypers, pay to call landlines. -Remote play allows you to connect your PSP to you PS3 (if you have one) for added goodies. -Internet Radio. I love that feature. You simply install a radio (They're all listed there, and there are quite a few different versions. I reccommend Internet Radio Player 1), and you can then listen to whatever genre fits your fancy. It's excellent quality, and I've discovered many new bands with this feature. -RSS Channel. If you love your podcasts and know where to download them, then you can start getting your favorite RSS feeds right on your PSP. -Web Browser. A very substantial web browser. You can surf the internet rather easily. However, youtube doesn't play, and if you wanted to say, check your Facebook, Myspace or Email, prepare to wait a bit.
And that's the features of the PSP-2000. Pretty in-depth if I may say so myself. I hope this helps some people out =)
"Price is a little high, for this type of entertainment!", Price is a little high for this type of entertainment, but it's fun, our son loves it. Having a hard time figuring out how to log on to the Internet, but like anything, it takes time to learn. You should get a cover for it to prevent scratching! Over all it's a great game, just think the price is a little high at 200 bucks!
