"Incompatible with widescreen TomTom", Although this item is said to be compatible with the Tom Tom, my widescreen Tom Tom XL 330-S sits too low to clear the rim and therefore cannot be attached to this mount.

"Hide traces of your GPS", Someone broke into my friend's car, stole his GPS, and left behind a broken window for him to repair. Everyone should get a removable dash pad. Even if you hide your GPS, your permanent dash pad tells the world a GPS might be hiding in your car. The Bracketron dash pad is somewhat large though. If you have a tiny GPS, you might consider buying a smaller dash pad.

"GPS dash pad", This does what it is suppose to do, no slipping around and way easier than than trying to stick it on your angled windshield, comes with a round flat plastic in the middle to mount the GPS.

"California law changed - dash pad not required anymore", as of Jan 1, 2009 - new California law now allows attaching GPS to lower 5" by 5" corner of driver's side windshield! However, the dash pad allows you to hide device from view while parked! It even works OK while perched on the control panel and can easily be seen through the steering wheel so I usually leave it there!

"Bracketron GPS Dash Pad", Very pleased with this item. It is heavy enough to remain in place on the dash and the rubber grips on the bottom prevent it from sliding. Best yet, no telltale mounting disk taped to the dash or rings on the windshield indicating that there is a GPS device in the car. The Bracketron Dash Pad stores out of sight when parked.

"A better fit for me.", I initially started to use the windshield adapter that originally came with my tom tom one 3rd edition,but the putting on and taking it off for multiple vehicle use became bothersome, never mind cleaning the ring it left behind on the windshield all the time. This product solve this time problem. Now my GPS device sits atop of my dash. It can be easily moved from place to place, or vehicle to vehicle. Yet it stays put when driving, won't move even at hard stops or turns.

"Good item", We used this on our most recent trip and it worked perfectly. If only the GPS had worked just as well, we might not have been so lost....but that's another story. I like the heftiness to the bag and the rubber bottom. No complaints right now. Does its job well.

"nice", product works great. I use it with my navman. smaller than some others I've seen which is a plus.

"Meet The Immovable Object", The Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad (God, what a mouthful) is a great product, especially at such a low price. It is a far more stable platform on which to mount a GPS such as the Tom Tom One XL, than the windshield of the car. With only a minimal amount of room to place this gem, it is as stable as the Rock of Gibraltar. I was concerned about it's stability before I used it, but after a 400 mile trip to Southern Colorado, and back, I'm convinced. The only time it shifted position was when I took it off my dashboard. Also, there was no visible jitter when mounted on the Nav-Mat. There was near-constant jitter when I had my GPS mounted to the windshield. I would recommend this unit to anyone having a GPS unit that fits this neat little gizmo!

"Not for the TomTom 730", TomTom 730 will point at the sky. The tall ring on this mount combined with the short windshield mount on the TomTom 730 makes getting a reasonable screen angle impossible. Great quality, doesn't slide, but for newer TomToms look elsewhere. I'm going to try the Gilsson UBM.
