"Great -- gets kids moving and they don't realize they're exercising", What a great premise -- create an obstacle course, beat your best time, or your sibling's... move, break a little sweat, raise your heartbeat -- and have a great time doing it. One afternoon, with the targets spread all over the first floor, there were 2 teams of 4-40 year olds running around having a blast... in an era of couch potato video gamers, this is a welcome addition to game options... I make my kids play Hyperdash for the same amount of time they want to play video games or watch TV... exercise before passive activity! AMEN!

"Was a hit with my 7-year old nephew", Purchased for my nephew's 7th birthday. It was a huge hit with not only him, but all of his friends. He went through a set of fresh recharged batteries the first day. Considering America's rising obesity problem, making exercise fun and enjoyable, while somewhat engaging the mind (when played on harder levels), this was one of the better gifts I have given him. I'll be looking into the other Wild Planet products after seeing this one.

"Broke after 1 day", My son got one for his 5th birthday and loved playing it. However, after the first day it no longer worked. Fresh batteries didn't help. The only way I could get it to turn on was to remove the battery cover and push on the batteries. As soon as I replaced the cover, it wouldn't turn on, so now he can't play. I tried to stuff wadded paper into the battery compartment to add pressure but that didn't work. I'm very frustrated about its lack of durability.

"LOVE IT!!", My son just got this for his birthday. I wanted him to have a game that was not only fun, but that he could learn from. My son has autism and my goal for this game was to work on his listening skills and turn taking. It's funny how he doesn't listen when I tell him something but when this game talks, he listens. He had a ball running around to all the targets. My son hasn't spent that much time playing a single game in his life!

I had a ball playing it too. This game is so much fun!

"Great!!", This toy is great!! I have 6-4-2yr olds and it is FANTASTIC!! My two older children are racing against each other's times, and then teach the colors to their little sister!! She is already catching on!! It is great exercise for kids trapped in the house all winter!!

"Blood Blisters from this toy", My kids got this for their birthday present. The first time they played it, two of my kids got blood blisters from the toy pinching them. I thought it was a fluke. But every time they've played with this toy (four times total before I pitched it), every time they played it gave someone a blood blister from a pinch. This toy should be recalled.

"Interactive game for kids", I bought this game for my nephew, who is almost 5. He is a very active child and I thought this game would help him use up some of his engery. It is a fun game that everyone can play together, even adults play this game with him. He really enjoys using it.

""Why did it break so soon?"", That's what my five-year-old wanted to know after this, his new favorite toy, broke after just 4 uses. We are ordering a replacement from Amazon, hoping this durability issue was a fluke. If we can get one that lasts, I'll rate it 5 stars!

"a hit with 8 year olds", Bought this for my son's 8th birthday. He and 2 other 8 year old boys played it and loved it. We've played it inside and out. A nice alternative to video games!

"Great fun, it didn't break after 4 months", For any technical details and minutia, I suggest that you look up Amazon's official review because I could not possibly be as thorough or as knowledgeable.

Now, this is what I can say from my own perspective: we have 2 pre-tween boys, one 5 yr. old girl, 2 dogs and about a dozen kids living in the neighborhood and showing up just about every day in the summer for the pool and the trampoline. We bought this from Amazon back in May and everyone loved it, including the dogs. So, for most of this summer, whenever they decided to play Hyper Dash, we were having the kids running around as directed, the dogs running after the kids and myself, trying to focus on the stuff I was supposed to be studying (for an exam). Based on other reviews, the game can be played indoors as well. We never allowed it but, as the weather turns colder, we may allow them to play in the basement whenever they get together for some fun.

Now, talking about things the kids 'learn'... let's not exaggerate :). Sure, there is a level of the game where the kid has to compute 3-2 quickly but, come on, there's not A LOT to learn. It's mostly physical and that's how the kids play it and it's good this way. They ARE running a lot but do not expect to see better grades in school.

What you do not see in the Amazon official review it's the durability factor. I am pleased to state that, after 4 months and, probably 20-30 hours of play, nothing broke yet. I expect the game to be still unbroken after one year.
