"Saitek Three Lever Pro Throttle" I needed an extra throttle to go with my Saitek Yoke and Throttle. I purchased my second one from Amazon. They told everything needed to know to purchase the product. It was shipped quickly, and works without any flaws. Would recommend anyone buying from Amazon, and I would recommend buying this product, and would buy it or anything from Amazon. GREAT PRODUCT.
"Great product " The product as a whole, is well worth the price, and works well for my setup, if you fly jets this is a must, order two for jets, 747s rule. Gave it 3 stars not for the product but for amazon, they took awhile to process the order, then they used USPS as shipping which took longer, they need to go back to UPS they are alot better, than snail mail. And something happen to there order processing used to take a day and a half to process, now it takes 4 days plus shipping equels two weeks for delivery, thats not good at all.
"Pricey, but worth it" There's nothing like pushing forward on the throttle levers as your plane accelerates down the runway. These levers feel like the real thing. The knobs can be swapped around, I have mine set up with two levers for throttle and one for elevator trim.
IL2, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and FSX
"Can't imagine flying without it anymore." I got this throttle for my birthday. I had it on my wishlist for a long time but could not convince myself to buy it. Well, now I'm glad I have it, actually, it's made the simulation so much more realistic. Spinning out of a parking spot with one engine, practicing single engine flying, and just alone the feel of having a somewhat realistic throttle in your hand adds a lot of realism. The fact that the leverage is very long also give you more precision when changing power settings.
The only problems I ran into are the setup. Saitek for some reason uses an auto calibration as soon as the joystick/throttle is deteceted when plugged in. After that, there is no calibrating via software manually. When you go to the Saitek forums, the majority of the problems are revolving about this auto-calibration issue. You would think Saitek would learn. Either way, the fix is quick, all you need to do is to delete the auto calibration entry from the registry, and it will re-calibrate again, usually this second time it does it perfectly. If you need more info, go to the Saitek website and their forums, you will find all the information there. I also had to change the sensitivity and null zone settings in Flight Simulator 9, I recommend reading about this in the forums also, but I would say within 30 minutes I was flying and never looked back.
The quality of the joystick is quite good. It's made out of plastic but seems very sturdy. There are two ways to mount it to a surface, and I like that flexibility.
Overall I highly recommend this throttle. I do wish it had four levers, not three, although I do fly mostly twin engine jets, so that works well for me. The left lever is my speedbrake, the middle and right one are the two throttles. I programmed the speedbrake to "auto-arm" when pushed below the detent, and the throttles are programmed to go into thrust reverse when pushed beyond the detend.
"Amazing Throttle" The product is Great. I play some Flight Simulators, and with this Throttle, it was an amazing experience. He has a great sensibility, the buttons sequence, and the "reverse" for all axis. It's a great adventure.

What our customer's say!
"Nice an modular", This was a good buy, thought the price was a few more then it should be though.
I use it on a Dual G5 and Mac Book Pro so the Software that it comes with is Useless. however because it' sUSB it's works out of the box with MAC. I've Used it with X-Plane mostly, but a few other games as well. Couple this with ControllerMate this item works perfect for most games.
It comes with 2 black, 2 Blue, 2 Red and a LARGE Black so if you have another one you can have levers connected together for a 747. This is great modular piece because of the connection method you have two ways to have it set up.
It would get 5 stars if it were only 35$ or less. but at 60$ it's hard to justify getting more then 1.
"Must have for IL2 series", I had no problem installing this on my machine running XP. I just plugged it in and assigned the axes to it under HOTAS and off I went. I did not download the software it came with and have had no problems. Throttle control is superb, flaps can be incremently selected, no more keyboard preset with only 2 or 3 choices, same for prop pitch. Unit seems to be well made with smooth lever movement and good rocker switch feel. I will be getting another one for elevator, rudder, and aileron trim. Wish I had bought this long ago.
"Solid reliable product", I am very pleased with the operation and rugged quality of this control. In some ways it even exceeds my expectations! As suggested by MS and others, I did not install the included software. My FS2004 setup worked just fine, just as it does with my Saitek Aviator joystick. Both work very well in tandem! Service and delivery from Amazon were as excellant as usual..............Dave Hatcher
"Works Perfectly", I'm a long-time fan of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I "fly" with the joystick in my left hand so that I can use the mouse with my right hand to click switches and look around the virtual cockpit. This makes using the joystick's throttle cumbersome, so I decided to get an add-on throttle. The Saitek Throttle Quadrant fit the bill perfectly.
Let me say up front that I was initially a bit leery about purchasing this unit because of reports of "phantom keystrokes," but I'm happy to say I've been using it for several days with no problems whatsoever.
There is an included software disc but I would recommend not using it as it might be the cause of the problems some people have been having. I did not use it, nor did I need to--I simply plugged the unit into a USB port and Windows XP recognized it immediately. It showed up in the Game Controllers control panel and was configurable in Flight Simulator without the need for extra drivers or configuration software.
Note: If you're using this with Flight Simulator, in the Flight Simulator Settings > Controls > Calibration screen select the Saitek Throttle Quadrant as the Controller Type, then select Simple Controls and set the Sensitivity to maximum and the Null Zones to minimum. If you don't do this you won't get the full range of control from the levers. You can set each controller individually, so doing this won't affect your joystick or yoke if you're using one.
The included desk clamp mounts to either the bottom or back of the unit, giving you a couple of different options as to the position of the unit in relation to your desk. I found the desk clamp to be secure and foolproof.
Functionally this unit is exactly what I wanted. The levers are the perfect size, move smoothly, and have a long range of motion. This gives you much better precision than a standard joystick throttle wheel. At the minimum setting you can feel a little indent in the control; if you move it below that you trigger a joystick button. This is handy for functions like reverse thrust or brakes. Additionally, there are three rocker switches on the bottom of the unit, perfect for controlling things like flaps and elevator trim.
The handles on the levers are colored and shaped just like real general aviation power controls. The handles are interchangeable, and Saitek thoughtfully included extra handles to allow you to reconfigure the look of the unit for things like multi-engine aircraft. I've read that you can use more than one of these units at a time, and the ability to reconfigure the handles can come in handy in more complex setups.
I have only one complaint about this unit, and that is that the USB chord is a little short at only about 4 feet. If you're using this unit in conjunction with Saitek's flight yoke (which has a USB port in it) the short chord is actually a good thing, but if you're using the unit as a stand-alone like I am you may need a USB extension chord. Not a big deal, just something to be aware off.
All in all this unit exceeded my expectations. There's nothing like flying a tricky approach and having a real throttle controller to make precise power adjustments. I have no "phantom key press" problems, and if you purchase this unit I would recommend bypassing the included software CD as that might be the source of problems some people are having. No problems for me, and I'm really happy.
"Best choice!!!", I don't wan't to expand a lot off money on this equipments. My intention is "have fun" not "be a pro". So it's very good on quality and price. It works very nice on my flight sim 2004. I recommend!

"SAVE YOUR MONEY ", This unit is nice but in order to make it run correctly you need to buy another program for about $30. The throttle has to be messed with to get it to just idle. I like Saitek products but when you need to buy other softwear to make it just Idle correctly then I'll think twice about buying there products again. Plus no in box manual.:{
"Problematic", The throttle suffers from the same phanthom keystrokes problem as the Saitek yoke combo. If you can live with it or apply any of the workarounds (such as purchasing a FSUIPC license and increasing polling interval for keypresses) it's a decent product.
"Throttle Quadrant could be better", The product seems to be well made, however, it is not compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator. No matter what program I use to set up the Axis levers, the next time I boot the computer, they have different assignments. I think that I am moving the throttle, but the flaps go up or down, the view goes outside or something else will happen. I would hope that some day, the program problems will be corrected.
"Third lever detent weak", It may just be my unit but the detent on my third leaver slips and ends up activating the key command. It's fine for me since I didn't need it anyway and deassigned it. Apart from that, it is incredibly useful in multi-engine aircraft like the BE20 where you need two throttles, two prop control, and two mixture. It's hard to fly something like a B744 since the four leavers take up so much space but still definitely worth it.
"A Very Sturdy and Solid Throttle Quadrant", I had previous bought the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke system and was very impressed with the construction, much better than the CH yoke I have been using. So, I bought the Saitek Throttle Quadrant to add to it to give me multi-engine capability.
I mount it next to the other Throttle Quadrant and plugged it into one of the 3 spare USB ports on the yoke. MY system and FS9 saw it right away. It came with a bag of colored knobs for easy reconfiguration. I tested all the buttons with no problems.
Note: I did not load the software. I have tried this with the Yoke and FS9 would crash. I removed it, and they work fine without it.
I have taken many flights and used the Throttle Quadrant for several hours now without a single problem. Thanks Saitek for a solid product.
Also, This product was available thru ANTONLINE who were great in processing and shipping my order. Received my order in 4 days.
