"Pretty Cool", This game is pretty cool, its a "Medal of Honor" type game than a "Call of Duty" type game. The graphics are ok and they are similar to "Medal of Honor: Rising Sun", the gameplay is also similar. I don't know why sooooo many people sayed it sucked! I guess those people thought it was going to be like the next "Brothers in Arms" or "Call of Duty". There are only like 10 levels or so and you get only a few weapons in your selection, they are all WW2 era weapons(like the Tommy Gun and the M1 Garand). Like I sayed before its like "Medal of Honor", so you don't have any other buddies like in "Call of Duty" when playing, you have to use stealth in some missions by using a silenced pistol or knife, All of the missions are gathering enemy documents, rescuing pows, or blowing up the japs guns and stuff.
Overall this is a good game, if like WW2 shooters like the "Medal of Honor" series I recomend you buy this, if you like the more "Call of Duty" or "Brothers in Arms" type gameplay then you should try buying something else. But still I highly recomend this game!!!

"Great Game", I initially purchased the History Channel Civil War game from a local store that was going out of business. My teen son is a history buff and wanted to give it a try.

After playing it he asked if there were any more History Channel games? We immediately thought of Amazon. Amazon has the best selection and the best prices on games, by far.

We were lucky enough to find the Battle for the Pacific. My son loved it. Way to go History Channel, for bringing history to the video game world.

"Can't even install it", After installing this game three times, you are left with a game that seems to play, but there is no color. Just shades of white and 3-D ghosts. No install errors. Sent e-mail to the support address days ago, no response what so ever. May just see if we can get our money back.

"Disappointing at best!", Try as I have I can not see any good things to say about this game other then if you are a history buff it might be nice to see the authentic video footage from the History channel. I am 59 and have seen most of it. The game is simply boring walk and shoot each mission lasts about 20 minuets. If you could run it would only be about 10, but the controls only allow you to walk or crouch. The game, its graphics', and controls are about 10 years behind the times. I felt it was more of an advertisement for the history channel then a game. As has been said before, a total waste of money

"CRAP!", WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT IS TOTAL CRAP! MEDAL OF HONOR ON THE PS1 IS LEAPS AND BOUNDS BEYOND THIS STEAMING PILE OF GARBAGE. WHERE DID THIS GAME COME FROM?!!!!? GOOD LORD!

I WONDER WHAT THIS GAME LOOKS LIKE ON THE X-BOX 360 OR PS3? THE PS2 VERSION OF IT T0TALLY SUCKS!
