"Caution! Not compatable with newer Sony models.", This cable probably works fine, but unfortunately it is not compatible with the newer Sony models! The connection adapter is much larger than the new ports allow. So be careful in your selection.

"Does what you need it to do", Kinda bogus that it doesn't come with the Sony HDR-SR7 that I purchased but you need the cable for High Def. At least Amazon has it at a good price.

"PDP5080", Pioneer PDP-5080HD 50" 720p Plasma HDTV

The TV is excellent. However, the plasma screen was broken on the first two deliveries. The third delivery was fine. Since I purchased the TV from 6Ave Electronics, a certified online Pioneer dealer, there were no problems concerning the return. I have heard horror stories about purchasing HD TVs online but 6Ave did a great job on returns and price protection.

"only game in town", it ticks me off that sony makes these types of cables. They do it bec. they are the only ones manufacturing them and have to buy the cable from them. They should have just made my hd camcorder regular hdmi cable on both ends.

"It does what it has to do", It Does what it is meant to do, and as there are no competitor for it at this time!
