"Refuses to Work", Products like this are why piracy is rampant. Here is a product that is sold and flat out doesn't work for a lot of people. I used an older version and loved it. (Version 3.) Since version 4, on multiple systems, it refuses to work correctly, crashing at various stages.

When it DOES work, it's a fantastic program. Just be aware you really are taking a gamble that it'll work okay for you.

Look on it as an exciting bet. You may get an awesome app. You may get a coaster.

"Have had great success - and it's easy", I have really enjoyed this product - particularly because the ramp up time to learn it is approximately 5 minutes - to see your first movie took about 10. I am going to buying this for my teenage daughter because it does have an extreemly simple interface - however, if you want to dig in and get more complex it has another layer of complexity that you can delve into.

Another nice feature is the expansions shows you can download - these are pictures transition groups. For example, one that comes with is a sepia effect that makes your pictures look like an old movie complete with static lines. There are several that are good for wedding DVD's etc too. My only complaint in this arena is that they are a bit pricey - between 12 - 20 bucks for one 'show'.

I am deployed overseas and using Muvee to send pictures home has become a fun project and my mom (not too technical) can just pop the DVD's into here DVD player and enjoy the pictures easily. Also the still pictures take on life with the transitions making the ocean even appear to be moving. Much more visual appeal.

So - if you're looking for something super easy this is a great place to start. Also, if you're feeling adventurous you can delve into the some of the tweaking tools. I highly recommend it - even for a novice user - or one of your myspace/youtube kids.

"Awesome product!", I find Muvee Autoproducer to be a very useful, and very unique tool for creating really great videos in a short period of time. I've had at least five friends buy Muvee after seeing the videos I have made, and how easy it is to make them. Once I showed one to someone and he said "Now why can't my production company create cool stuff like that!"

I have quite a few posted on Google Video. I have lots of other tools, but I probably use Muvee for 80% of my video editing.

With Muvee, you almost always get a pretty good video by simply importing your video files and providing some music. Time to a decent video: 5 minutes! With a little bit of tweaking, you can get a really great video easily. And the tweaking is not of the "cut here, insert this" variety, but you say "use this clip" or "choose more video like this". You pick the video you like, and Muvee does the layout with hints you provide. It's really fun and you can tweak as much or as little as you want.

I use Muvee 6.0 on Windows XP and HAVE NOT had technical issues (like one other reviewer claims); I really enjoy some of the new features, in particular, tuning theme parameters.

Muvee is such a great piece of software, I can recommend it without reservation for anyone wanting to make a video commemorating an event or making a music video. Other programs attempt to copy some of Muvee's functionality as an "add-on" feature, but I have not seen these produce results anywhere nearly as good as Muvee, and the manipulation, tweaking, and editing tools don't work nearly as well.

Muvee does a great job with photos as well as videos. You can use either media, or mix and match.

I've given Muvee as a gift to friends and family, and will continue to anytime someone says "here, watch my home video" and it's really boring. With Muvee, anyone can make really great, fun videos with minimum effort.


"Great program for almost everyone", I write pretty regularly for Smart Computing magazine, so I know good software when I see it, and muvee autoProducer 6 is outstanding software. When I first saw it at Comdex in 2002, I liked it so much I begged to try it out and have been using it ever since.

I'm writing this review because I can't believe that it's not getting rave reviews here! Apparently the only people who are writing reviews are the 2 out of thousands who had trouble with it (there's actually a bug in an earlier version of Quicktime that causes installation problems with muvee) or couldn't understand it (that's hard to believe - he must be a competitor). Don't make their mistake and expect it to work like a video editor - although it does what might be called video editing, it's in a class and category all by itself. They call it autoProducer for a reason - it quickly, easily, and automatically synchs your photos and video to your music. Then, you can personalize and tweak it to your hearts content until you get great effects and timings.

So don't shy away from this product because of the two comments posted here. Instead, download and try the trial version at muvee's web site (it's easy to guess their URL). You're more than likely to be blown away.

"Waste of Money", I don't normally write reviews but this product is HORRIBLE. The sound doesn't match up with the video and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of customer service. Don't waste your money.
