"Awful"
What a piece of junk. It's true I can hear well through it and that others say they can hear me well through it, but where it absolutely fails is in voice recognition with my Motorola Razr. I press the button and say, for instance, "Call Pat Moore" and it comes back with "Did you say, 'Call Yee Dental Center'?" (and then two other choices, none of which sound ANYTHING like Pat Moore). It's absolutely useless as a hands-free dial device in the car (required by law now in California). I hate it. I've tried it for a month and I'm throwing it away it's so bad. Don't waste your hard-earned money on this. (It also looks like cheap plastic in person, not like it looks in online pictures, and worse still, it seems really flimsy. Worst of all, there's no cigarette lighter charger for the car, which is the only place I use this, so I have to bring it in and charge it. That's just plain stupid.)

"Jawbone bluetooth headset"
Jawbone bluetooth headset

I read the reviews, mostly positive and bought one. I was using a motorola E815 verizon cdma phone. The first one I got the microphone was defective. The outgoing audio was nothing but static. The incoming audio was scratchy. Thanks to Amazon's return policy is was very easy to exchange. The next one I got worked fair but not great. There was lots of static and a seemingly weak signal even though the phone was in my pocket.

I recently switched to an i-phone (new 3G). The pairing with the jaw bone was easy. The performance with the i-phone was better. So I think the performance may vary depending on the phone.

Now for the earpiece. It comes with 4 detachable ear loops and several in the ear inserts to customize your own fit for the left or right ear. If you keep the headset in your pocket or purse, there is a good chance the metal ear loop will get bent. The metal is very brittle, if you try to bend it back to the proper position it will break at the point where it inserts into the headset. The ear insert can also come off and get lost.

So while the performance was better, even acceptable with the i-phone. The custom fitting parts which must be used are fragile. An ear loop made with a more durable product would be acceptable. When you figure out which ear insert you like maybe a little glue to fix it place would be good.

For those of you thinking green... The packaging was excessive. A large hard plastic box with plastic inserts and small cardboard boxes inside.

With a better earpiece and ear insert and a compatible phone I would give it 4 stars. I bought a red one to find it easier when put in a bag or backpack.

"Jawbone"
Very easy to use, noise shields works wonders, I'm very glad I purchase the Aliph Jawbone

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
I bought the Jawbone thinking this is going to be so cool, cool it wasn't. First, the ear pieces that came with it don't help at all and appears to me they are almost the same. They fell off my ear so many times. It looks cool to wear I will say that much and the noise shield does work with the radio on NOT with wind though. Also, the stactic is bad don't walk anywhere without your cell cause the jawbone will lose the contact or make so much static you will want to throw it away, just return as I did. I did give it a one star only because I like the looks of it. I do wonder if the new one out is any better, but not worth my time to buy and find out.

"Great look - reasonable performance"
The packaging is absolutely top class - the initial experience with this product when you open the box is awesome. I was somewhat disappointed in teh performance though. The noise cancellation feature seems to reduce the quality/volume of the audio - turn it off if the person on the other end has trouble hearing you.

What our customer's say!

"did like it", i really did like this until the earpeice's kept breaking evry one has broke . the sound quality is amazing i was litteraly driving with my windows down and it still worked i would prefer the new jawbone thouugh it is alot smaller

"Skip This Highly Marketed Mess!", DON'T FALL FOR THIS POORLY MADE GIMMICK by ALIPH, WITH ITS UNCONCERNED CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Jawbone is, by far, the worst headset I have ever come across! Aliph seems more about marketing than substance. I wish I could reassign the rating and give one-eighth star. This company is bad news!

I barely got to use the Jawbone three times before the earplug into which the earhook slides came loose, exposing the wires. I have cases for all my headsets to protect them and gingerly care for them.

The Jawbone came apart just before the warranty ran out, therefore my letter reached Aliph after the warranty expiration date so Aliph has refused to replace the headset - THAT WAS USED NO MORE THAN 3 TIMES BEFORE COMING APART!

Although the Jawbones are highly marketed, there are innumerable customer complaints over the Internet about how poorly built these headsets are. Aliph seems to turn a deaf ear and seems to feel it is their due to gimmick poorly designed, ill-built, over-priced dross.

The way Aliph markets the Jawbone and at the price, no one should have to tweak one thing to make the headset work or fit.

I wish I had known the Jawbone was all utter hype before getting fleeced by Aliph for $149.50! This earplug is extremely difficult to get on the ear. I had to fight with my Verizon UT6700 to get it working and most of all the sound was little better than the UT6700, which is disastrous!

I have the Plantronics Voyager, as well as several other headsets by BlueAnt, Jabra, and Motorola. I bought the Plantronics 925 and received a BlueAnt V1 after the Jawbone dispatched itself. The Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology, Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset (Black), the Jabra are much better quality head sets and work distinctly better. I haven't tried the BlueAnt V1 Voice-Controlled Bluetooth Headset (Silver) yet. None of the headsets are any where near the "SHABBY JAWBONE" Category! Aliph owns that one!

Don't fall for the name and shiny back and don't get RIPPED OFF!

"Works great But. . .Needs smaller ear hook", It works great but it need a smaller ear hook for smaller people. I had to ben the one that came with it for my daughter.

"iPhone 3G disappointment", Bought this for my new iPhone 3G, only to find not compatible. (despite product lit)

"Terrible false advertising", I had seen the ads for the Jawbone in Sky Mall magazine. (A magazine I used to trust) I bought it 32 days ago and after the first 3 weeks rarely even bothered to take it out of my briefcase. It was painful to wear and no matter how I attempted to adjust it it flopped around and I couldn't possible keep the earpiece against my cheek, like you are supposed to. When I placed any call I quickly found out that I couldn't be heard over the slightest breeze or even the air conditioner in my car! The buttons are extremely hard to use. Three or four times I received calls and when I pressed the button I got an ear full of nothing but loud static, and when I tried to turn off the unit so I could return the missed call the unit wouldn't shut off! I had to wait 2 or three minutes before I could even return the missed call! You can't get your money back, they will only replace it with another shoddy product. So go with the Plantronics. It's the one that I accidently broke, and I really liked it. Final advice DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Love it", I love this bluetooth. I have incredibly small ears and I could never find a bluetooth that would fit me. I have tried almost every brand they make. When this one arrived with two sizes of "hooks" and different ear bud sizes I was estatic. It fits great on my tiny ear and works very well. My only complaint is the noise shield doesn't seem to work very well cause the person you are talking to can still hear the wind in your phone when you are driving or in windy conditions. Other then that it is perfect!

"Roseville, CA", The Jawbone rocks when it comes to clarity, functionality and weight. The only issue I have is the ear piece doesn't fit exceptionally well and I've broke (by bending) the wire piece that goes over the ear. Even with these little problems, I still love this headset.

"I love the Jawbone", I give the Jawbone 5 Stars. The noise reduction is very good, I can hear perfectly, and everyone can hear me (unless, of course, they don't have the jawbone). I never have a problem, yet when I'm talking to someone on an inferior headset, they have nothing but problems. The Jawbone is easy to connect and disconnect and I especially love the voice activation. I can tell it to dial a number, even if the number isn't stored in my phone. It's great. I highly recommend the Jawborn, and the price on Amazon.com is the best.

"Great bluetooth and great style", This product is absolutely wonderful. The sound quality is great. especially with the noise reduction. It looks much better than most of the earphones available and I actually prefer it more than the newer versions which only come in gold, silver and black. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the design of the rubber cap. Everyone I know who owns this lost the rubber cap within 2 days. I haven't lost mine, but that's because I have it in a small compartment in my purse. I don't even bother putting it on because it won't stay on with regular use. Besides that, everything is wonderful about this jawbone.

"Jawbone", This is a good product. I have been used to over the head sets so this is something to get used to. I had to get the jabra ear gels to get it to fit right for me but that is not the fault of the jawbone.
