"Disappointed", I ordered a new one & received an used one. It cost me $7+ nonrefundable postage to ship back the used one. Never have a chance to use the product. Very unpleasant on-line transaction. I will not buy anything on-line in the future.

"Buy the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece Instead!", Was extremely dissappointed in the Jawbone. In short it's very poorly designed and doesn't provide the performance as advertised. It doesn't fall a little short...it's not even close to the mark of bluetooth headsets that I used several years ago. I'm a average sized man with average ears, facial structure etc. and could never get the Jawbone Headset to rest comfortably in my ear or have the earhook not create an unpleasant, uncomfortable feeling. I was always sure to have the contact point touching my face to be sure the noise cancelling worked correctly but people always told me I sounded like I was on a speaker phone and at times had real difficulty hearing me. I use this in business everyday and it conveyed a very unprofessional "appearance". I tried everything I could to get better performance but nothing worked. I used this for several months giving it every opportuniy to perform. The fit to the ear is a serious problem for a lot of people and a major disadvantage to this headset not to mention the poor sound quality.

I replace it with the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece(better price and the latest "clear" technology), which comes in BLACK, SILVER, GOLD, and PURPLE. The fit to the ear is extremely comfortable and secure, the receiving sound excellent and to the person I'm talking to they say it sounds like I'm on a land line. Never anymore complaints from peole I'm speaking to. From another reviewer's recommendation, I also purchased a windscreen that you can use to cover the end of the headset that's exposed to block any interference with wind noise. So if you know you're going to be outside at a ball game, riding a bicycle, etc., you can slip this on and have a headset that blocks virtually any wind noise making this the perfect unit. I bought two of the windscreens and keep one in my car and the other in my latop computer case so they are ready to use when needed. By the way, I've had 6 to 7 or more headsets and the Plantronis is the best that I've had so far.

"Best out there, but no replacement earloops available", No complaints about the earpiece, I've bought several for my company. But if you break the earloop (and you will ventually), you'll have an unusable unit because the Jawbone folks have decided to discontinue the replacement item. Be warned: the earloop for the new Jawbone II WILL NOT WORK with this original unit.

"Great quality voice", I've owned Motorola, Plantronics and several other bluetooth headsets and got really tired of having three fourths of people tell me to call them back when I'm not using the bluetooth headset because they couldn't hear almost anything.
The Jawbone's worked perfectly from the start.
I've had a couple of hassles with the ear-piece, but this is finally a bluetooth headset that I can use. I'm happy as a lark

"Awesome technology in a crappy package.", First let me state the things that would be 5 star worthy. The technology in the noise shield is nothing short of mind blowing. On a city street with buses and loud traffic or sitting in my hotel room with no noise, people I talk to can't seem to tell the difference. I also having tried many Bluetooth headsets can say I can also regardless of noise hear better on this unit than others.
Now, the less than a star what were they thinking part. It doesn't fit well and I don't care how much you fiddle with it. The way the earbud attaches sucks. Half the time while trying to get the fit right I turn it the wrong way and it falls off in my ear. The buttons make a crunch noise when you push them like the unit is breaking. When unplugging the unit from the charger it always feels like it will break even when you do it exactly like the customer service jerk tells you to (mine actually did break recently unplugging it).
And still... the technology works so well it is worth overlooking these problems and buying.

"Broke before I could even use it", I just got the Jaw Bone for my birthday. I connect it to the charger and let it charge over night. I try to remove it from the charger and it won't budge. I read the manual and it says nothing about removing it. So I pull a little harder and the charger rips the entire back end off the head set. I still can't get the broken piece to come loose from the charger. WTF!!!

"Poor Sound Level", I spent many hours researching the latest and greatest of blue tooth headsets and chose this one based on perceived quality. Price was not a big issue. It is very lightweight which was great. Easy to use as well. The biggest problem was the sound level. You can hear the caller if you are in a quiet place. However, as soon as the level of noise increased in the area you are calling it becomes very difficult to hear. I think the problem is the ear piece. It does not go into the ear, but rather sits on the outside. I have a Plantronics 510 and it worked with my older phone very well. it has an earpiece that goes into the ear and you can set the volume much higher. I only switched because I was getting a lot of static in the headset with the new phone (3G technology may be the issue...I dont know). I would not recommend this headset to anyone working in a potentially noisy environement (driving with the windows open, walking outside, etc)

"Alpha Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset", The Alpha Jawbone has a nice clean high tech look and the fit is comrfortable for me. The unit was easy to sync with my Sony Ericsson phane and has worked well. The noise cancellation feature works as advertised and seems to do a good job blocking out any background noise. I travel a lot and blocking out noise in the airport is important to me. Overall, I have been very pleased with the product and would reccomend it to others.

"Ignorance isn't a reason to rate something poorly", I notice alot of people compain about this product because the other people can't hear them. The fact is this produce is a sophisticated piece of electronic hard and software. Proper fit is essential for performance. The product is simply fantastic. It has 4 earbuds and 4 earloops that must be chosen carefully to provide a snug touching the face fit. The noise cancellation is what you are paying for. If you have ever been in a loud place, often the problem is that the counterparty cannot hear you while you can hear them. The device uses vibrations from your JAW and sound from your voice to isolate your voice from the other noises. If it doesn't fit well no- the other person won't be able to hear you. This is simply the best headset I have used. I would recommend it to anyone that it fits and find most of the negative reviews are from people who simply need to learn to use the product better. You are paying for something that isn't just a mic and a speaker so proper use is essential to know what you've got.

"Old Jawbone", The Old Jawbone works very well. Most of the time one does not know I'm using a bluetooth device. It also works very well with my voice reconition cell phone allowing hands free operation while operating my vechicle. Its just like talking to someone in your car and you can concentrate on the driving task at hand with unrestriced vision.
On the other hand the new Jawbone fades in and out as I turn my head in various directions and requires that I hold the mic with my hand to keep it close to my check. I returned the new Jawbone and procured the old one again. This is my second one and it has the best voice quality in a moving car that I have used and I have tried about 4 others.
