"great for the price", I am NOT an audiophile, but I do like music and with my ears, this is a remarkable piece of equipment.I installed it on my computer simply because I couldn't stand the scratchy noise on the built-in speaker.

I highly recommend this system to anyone who just wants to hear good music but does not want to spend a lot. A true audiophile will look done his nose at this , but it works well for me

"What a Bargain", Made this purchase based on reviews posted on Amazon website and the price, of course. I was very surprised at the volume that comes out of these speakers. It was just what we were looking for in a basic set of speakers. My husband couldn't believe the bargain I found with this purchase. For the price, it's a steal!!!!

"WTF?! AMAZING! =D", what the heck!! I got this because the reviews sounded like it was a pretty good buy for the cheap price.. Got them in the mail, hooked them up, and was blown away by the amazingness of these speakers! They are powerful little dudes, I don't think I've ever heard something so loud out of something so small! When they are about 3/4 turned up my whole desk shakes, the wall shakes, my chair shakes, neighbors had to come over to tell me to be quite but when i opened the door i couldn't even hear them because the speakers were still blasting hahaha.. Anyways, I most definitely reccommend this product, its at a really really cheap price and the sound is outstanding and just absolutely amazing!!

"Good Sound, Bad Construction Quality", The speakers deliver the sound quality promised and affirms the opinions of the many positive reviews. I really like the product design, with a separate control base...very stylish and useful, but of poor quality. The top of the control base came undone (unglued itself) in a few days of using it. Apart from this annoyance, the product quality meet expectations...the price makes it a true value purchase!
I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others.

"Holy Moly!", I read the user reviews and figured for $[...] bucks, I'd give them a whirl. Well they can't have them back. I am blown away! So much sound out of such a small set of speakers. I was considering MUCH more expensive speakers. No need. They're even great for plugging in my ipod, or the tv in my bedroom. A+

"good cheap speaker system", Logitech S220 computer speaker system: An excellent bargain for $25. I wanted an inexpensive, compact 3-speaker system with decent sound quality to use with my laptop at home. This system fits the bill. Sound quality is good, but not great. Nice small, desktop control box with volume control, on-off switch, and headphone & speaker jacks. Construction quality is excellent. I recommend this product.

"Pretty good for light music", I listen to music all day at work, and these were a nice fit. I really didn't expect much for the price, but I was pleased with what I received. Their footprint is small, and at the volume level you'd use at work, their sound is fine. I can have them loud enough to be heard in the offices up the hall, and the sound is not distorted whatsoever at that volume, but they're not really impressive at that volume.

If you want something that can fill the house with music on a Sunday afternoon, or you're looking for speakers for computer gaming or TV/movies, move up to a higher-quality 2.1 system. The satellites have little to no bass, so small, environmental sounds, like crickets chirping or footsteps, are lost or seem unnaturally tinny.

If all you want is a step up from laptop speakers, these are great!

"Great sound, but weird setup", The sound is surprisingly good (for the price and the size). I really like these speakers, but I'm thrown off by how they're set up. The volume/control knob isn't on a speaker, but instead separate and wired to the subwoofer and main controls (you can see that in the picture).

Because the sub is on the floor and the control is on the desk, my poor, little control keeps falling down behind the desk. I've tried wrapping it around things and even taping it down, but gravity finds a way (and yes, there's lots of slack). That said, the good sound is worth it.

"Overrated Speakers", With all of these positive reviews I was expecting some sort of diamond in the rough. Unfortunately these are very unremarkable speakers. I was tired of changing the cables on my previous speakers between my computer and my Xbox 360 so I bought a second pair to relieve the hassle. But they really just sound bad. I regret not spending another $10 or $20 on a better set. They're adequate for stuff like youtube but I'd feel bad if someone who listens to a lot of music got stuck with these. They sound very thin and tinny. The subwoofer doesn't blend well with the midrange. My decade old $40 Creative Inspire 2.1 set sounds far far better. Frankly, these are the type of speakers you buy your mom to upgrade her LCD monitor's built in speakers.

"Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System...", I ordered these bad boys on the 20th of December with standard shipping and they got here in 4 days.

I was happy.

But when I opened the box I was a little skeptical. It looked nice but the speakers were so small, I was sure it was made cheaply.

I finally decided to set it up though because my old speakers were old and annoying, so I gave them to my brother. I must say that even though the speakers are small, they don't fall over when you bump music loudly (and boy does it go loudly).

The small size is actually convenient compared to the big subwoofer that came with my Dell computer.

Anyway, I'm very, very happy with this purchase. Some of these average reviews had me a little scared but I still ordered these and would have it no other way.

Definitely worth the 34.43 paid for them (I had about a buck and some odd credit left).

4.25 stars.

end note: I almost forgot to say that I *love* the little dial you use for turning the volume up. You can also put headphones into it to listen to your music privately (but it's not half as intense and it only plays mono, or in one ear).
