"good" this game is good, but only one thing is that you have alot of big car and the track are not good for the cars. they have very curve. you can not go to the max speed !!!!!!!!
"let down" I was really exited to try this game after seeing the video preview for it but wow was I let down. This game is full of problems with the grafics (such as when you roll up to the staring line, the rims aren't even turning) Its also not nearly as much fun as the older Need for Speed games like NFS Hot Pursuit 2. I was hoping the NFS titles would get their act together on this one but no they're just getting sloppier and sloppier ever since NFS Carbon.
"Great Game" This is a great game different from the other Need For Speeds so it takes a little getting used to but it is still the same great thrill.
"Another year, another Need for Speed game..." Once again, EA proves that some things never change. Case in point, Need for Speed: Prostreet, which continues the series' long running tradition of street racing. This time around, things actually do get changed up a bit, at least it seems that way at first anyway. The game's central storyline, involving street racers talking trash and such, is nowhere near as interesting as what we've seen in Carbon and Most Wanted, which is saying something. However, you're not playing Need for Speed for story, you're playing for racing action, and you do get it with NFS: Prostreet, but it's nothing you haven't played before, or played better either. The race tracks aren't very different from one another, and the cars featured here have been seen before in previous games in the series. The racing itself is fine, and the controls are solid as well, and for a PS2 game, the graphics aren't too bad. It is also worth noting that there are two glaring omissions here that are nearly unforgivable. For starters, the PS2 version of the game lacks any online functionality, which is an expected disappointment, but there's no police chases either. What was undoubtedly the best part of the past few NFS games was the police chases, and their omission is just mind boggling. It's also worth nothing that the in-game advertisements and product placements are all over the place here, but then again, this is EA, so this isn't much of a surprise at all really now is it? All in all, if you're still holding on to your PS2 and looking for some new street racing action, Need for Speed: Prostreet is really all you have for now, but even so, you could still definitely do better.
"Need for Speed Pro Street " I played the latest version in the need for speed franchise, I wanted to find better graphics and gameplay as in "Need for Speed Carbon" and "Need for Speed Most Wanted". I feel the last need for speed title isn't as fun as its previous titles, and the organized races aren't as fun as the Underground races (well, in videogames).

What our customer's say!
"two thumbs way down", I played NFS Most wanted, and it was the best thing I ever played. So I looked forward to Pro Street and I thought it was absolutely terrible. Don't waste your money.
"Need for speed? Really? WOW!", this was a need for speed game? Really? WOW! this game sucked i was so excited to know that a new need for speed is coming out just in time of my birthday! i got it for my birthday and i played it and thought "Wow this game is nothing compared to what they said!" don't waste your money on it i am a need for speed fan since the beginning and this was something different and now i have different thoughts about where this series is heading! This could change if undercover is good! Please EA make a good need for speed!
"Fun Game", Creative game for the import/muscle car lover, a bit challenging for younger players but, detailing/design options vast.
"Need For Speed? Yes.", If you like speed, drifting, and shifting, this game is for you. I love the features like drifting, drag, and all the other features you have come to love over the years of Need For Speed, but there are definitely a few things missing from this iteration of vehicular madness. One aspect of Need for Speed: Underground 2 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted that I liked the most was the free roam ability. I love cruising around town in order to find shops or races, but I'm just a nerd. What is a huge disappointment about this lack is that there is no pursuit mode. Running away (successfully, sometimes) from the cops has always been one of my favourite parts of the Need for Speed series. Aside from the lack of cops, there are a few other things that keep me playing Most Wanted while my brand new Pro Street sits on the shelf. There is really no such thing as "quick play" you are forced to create an event, or deal with the races you don't feel like doing. I would love to see a quick play where you pick a car, a venue, and a style (drift, drag, circuit, etc.) and just race. All the background garbage in this game detracts from the actual gameplay, which is AMAZING!!! Now that you've read through my garbage, I can tell you how good the gameplay is. The graphics are wonderful, even when compared to PS3 games, and the manual (with clutch) shifting is very cool. The cars are excellent, with a wide variety of muscle cars, rice rockets, legitimate drifters, and others. I especially love the Chevelle, 240sx, and the 'Vette. Overall, this is a fun game, but seems to be aimed at ADD kids moreso than car lovers. If you want a real-life driving simulator, I would wait for Gran Turismo 5 to come out, but if you like the crazy mods and awesome gameplay of Need for Speed, I would recommend it. It's probably the only new PS2 game where you get points for drifting, so I have to love it. Enjoy!
"The Big Rave", I bought this PS2 game for my son. He also has "Need for Speed 1 & 2". He likes this version as well as the other two. He says it is lots of fun.

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Piece of crap for PS2. PC and PS3 better...", For the Pc and PS3 this game is awesome! I've seen it with my own eyes. I realize that when a game comes out for a certain system, in this case PS3, that they have to cut back a little when putting it to a different system, PS2. Not owning a PS3 I got it for my beloved PS2...DISSAPOINTMENT! It looks like absolute crap! Even the animated menus have been shot down to a lame still image. I was shocked! I felt like I was playing the first Gran Tourismo.
I knew that they changed their format to real pro street racing and got away from the free roam city driving, which is fine, but I can't believe they cut back this much to put it on PS2. This system can handle MUCH more than this. When I saw it on PC it looked great and the damge was amazing, but on the PS2 version you can slam it into the wall all you want and all you see is paint scrape??!!!!! What the hell??!!!
A warning to every one: Only get this game if you have a good PC or a PS3. If you want a good Need For Speed game for PS2 get Need For Speed: Carbon. It's a fun and challenging game with good graphics and sound. But a word to the wise. Don't buy cars you don't need. Save your money for the end. You're going to need it. It's frustrating if you don't.
Anyway, BOOO to you EA for ruining a good game for those who don't have new system.
"Wish I would have never bought it", Need For Speed: Pro Street is just an overall dissapointing game. The graphics are pathetic, they look like graphics from a PS1. There is also no free roam in this game. Wish I would have never bought it and just stuck with Need For Speed Underground 2, it's much much better!
"NFS Pro Street", -This game is based off professional racing and not URL. You start out in the game with a 240 (Nissan 240SX). From there you win money by winning and then you can spend it on upgrades or buy a new car.
-They added damage so now you can't go 200 mph slam into a wall and just take off you will most likely total your car. Let me say if you hit a bump in Nevada and flip its pretty sweet to watch as you car falls apart after rolling 5 times.
-The drag racing is just like normal drag racing you have your 1/4 and your 1/4 but they a Wheelie Stand race where you try and keep you cars front end in the air for the longest time.
-You can spend hours trickin out your car with decals and vinyl and then show it off in races. Plus you can now move decals and vinyls all over the car to give it the racing look you want. No more having to put up with a limited amount of space, now the whole car is yours.
Cons: -The guy in the background on the mic can be annoying but I just tone him out.
-I do miss the free roam but you have to remember this is based on professional racing not amateur racing and it's supposed to turn people to go pro and to get off the streets and make real money with their skills.
