"It's comfortable!!!", This pillows are great and it was relaxing my neck. It was comfortable sleep when you using it. It was great buy of it. I like it.


"I thought I'd found the perfect pillow, but not quite...", After buying dozens of pillows over the last few years from my local big box retailer, I decided to seek something that could last a bit longer without costing me a fortune. These pillows were on sale, and based on the reviews, they seemed like a good choice. After owning and using them for approximately four months, I think I'm qualified to weigh in on the pros and cons. :)

Pros:
-Fluffier than other pillows I've tried in this price range.
-I frequently wake up with head and neck pain, but these pillows seem to help with this issue. They are a nice combination of both soft and firm, supporting my neck without sacrificing comfort.
-I didn't notice any gel inside--well, not at first.

Cons:
-Okay, so I didn't notice any gel at first. Over the last month or so, however, the pillow stuffing clumps together. It feels like my pillow is filled with undercooked rice pudding. I have to literally use my fingers to seperate the stuffing, and it does have a squishy, gel sort of texture.
-The pillow did smell sort of strange when it first arrived...as one reviewer suggested, sort of like beef jerky.

All in all, I think these pillows are a great deal for the price. They are super comfortable while they last. Unless they happen to go on sale again, I would rather pay a bit more for pillows with a longer life.

"neck pain relief", I had a bad car wreck nine years ago that left me with spinal cord injury. My C-5 and C-6 vertebrae were crushed and had to be replaced and fused. I have woken up every day since with stiff neck and headache. I have bought so many pillows throughout the years including 3 different contour pillows. The last 3 mornings after using this pillow I have woken up without stiff neck or headache. I hope this continues. I would highly recommend.

"Love so far, BUT....", Before the good news, first the bad news. I think like all other pillows, these will lose their puffiness :( :(

Now on to the good news. I really love these pillows. They are extremley plump, yet it feels like your sinking into a cloud. I must stress how cushioned they feel, yet they stay firm when your head sinks in.
Most pillows I've had lose their thickness withhin 5 months. I really really hope these pillows last, because I've never experinced such a great pillow. I'm a side sleeper, BTW.

Oh, I forgot some people were saying the pillows have an odor. Well, they do. It smells a little like beef jerky, or witch hazel. It's not offensive, and it's fading as the days go on.

So, I would highly recommend these pillows. Cross your fingers they "last". Did I mention how much I like these pillows :D :D

"Great value", The previous reviews of these pillows were pretty much accurate. You certainly cannot beat the price for such comfortable pillows. I ordered two and noticed one was fuller than the other but other than that, they are very comfortable. I definitely slept sounder the first night I used them.

"Best pillows in a LONG time", Now granted, I've only been using these for about a week, but I've been through no less than 5 pillows in the last year and a half. I've bought cheap pillows that end up getting flat after a few months and expensive pillows that were never comfortable for more than a day.
I was hesitate to order these online but figured for the price- why not?
So far they are holding up better than any other pillow I've bought, though time will only tell if I feel the same in 6 months.
My husband even decided to use one of the new pillows as a replacement for his otherwise fine pillow and now won't give it back!
My neck doesn't hurt, I'm not waking up 10 times during the night to flip the pillow over or fold it so it's a decent size. Just sleep.

Even if it's not this comfortable in 6 months or a year it's been worth it so far! I hope the gel filled fibers help the pillow retain its shape and comfort long after other pillows have faded away.



"Ugg, the smell!", I bought these a few weeks ago and I too thought they had some type of gel in them. They may have some gel substance of some sort, but the smell is what I can't handle. The pillows smell like chemicals to me, not sure how else to describe them. The odor was really strong as soon as I took them out of the plastic and the smell is still there after a few weeks, not as strong but still very, very noticable especially when you sleep on them. I may try putting them outside on the screened porch to air out.

"Good as Goose (nearly)", As a devoted goose down pillow user, I can vouch for the comfort of these pillows. No, they're not quite as comfortable as down, but for about one tenth of the price, they come close. If you cannot afford down, this is definitely a good substitute.

"Pillows are OK", These pillows are OK. They are fluffy but they do tend to flatten out & then bend in the middle probably because they are so big (king sized). Just OK & I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money on them.

If you are looking for a real "gel" pillow, the Mediflow is filled with water. You fill it with water once you receive it and can customize the amount you use.
I think it can hold 6-8 liters (2 gllons?).
It is very comfortable and reccomended by physio for people with sore necks.
My only issue is that the pillow is quite heavy once it is full and you have to empty the water several times a year.
They do include a funnel though.
