"Exactly was i needed", There are so many reviews, that there is need to give more description of this remote. It's just what i need. Still have to configure my Logitech Harmony remote with it, but otherwise - it's solid, looks good, works lie it's supposed to. Absence of power or PS buttons does not bother me at all.

"blu ray", I bought this mainly for the blu ray player. Bought usb remote and all works wonderfully. Tried a game just to make sure everything worked. Game play was excellent also. Would and have recomended.

"Great PS3 remote for universal control.", I bought this based on recommendations of others after discovering that my new Sony PS3 used a bluetooth remote, and that I couldn't use my Logitech Harmony universal remote. If you are in the same scenario and want to have your universal remote control the PS3, then I would recommend this. You will have to go through the process of programming the remote for each command, and you won't have control over the eject and power on/off functions. But otherwise it works great.

"Good and nice... but could be better", I own a UC by Logitech and bought the Blu-wave to integrate my PS3 and my UC as recommended. It works fine, but the problem is that the BLU-wave DOES NOT switch on the PS3... it does not have that hability.
After I walk to my PS3 and switch it on by myself, it (the Blu-wave) works fine and the integration with my Harmony One is fine!!!
The remote looks good and is light...

"Great DVD Controller", I love simple electronics! Simple to install, no need to read the manual, and works right out of the box. I use it to control my PS3 when playing DVD's.

"This PS3 remote does not turn your PS3 on/off", This is a good remote for hooking up your PS3 to a universal remote control (eg: Logitech Harmony) however it does not provide the ability to turn your PS3 on or off.

(This is because the remote's receiver runs off USB and USB requires power first to operate).

Therefore you must either leave your PS3 on all the time or manually switch the PS3 on evertime you need to use the PS3 remote.


"Great, but doesn't control the power On/Off", Controls the PS3 great, except that you can not turn the PS3 on/off with this remote. You still need to get up to power on/off. Other than that, it works very well. I have integrated this with a Logitech Harmony 880 remote.

"Works Great!", I bought this device for the infrared USB dongle. I can now control my Playstaion 3 using my Logitech Harmony One remote.

"Just okay, could be better", I don't recommend this remote unless you need the IR receiver so you can use a universal remote such as a Harmony remote. The remote control that comes in this package is very cheap feeling and also does not give you that much control over your PS3.

Unless you absolutely need the IR receiver, I recommend the Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote instead. It gives you a PS button as well as additional buttons such as audio/subtitle and eject; all buttons that the Nyko remote does not have. Also with the Sony one, you do not need any usb dongle plugged into the front of the PS3 (which looks sorta of weird).



"Perfect Device to sync PS3 with Harmony Remote", I looked at several options before deciding to go with the nyko. 1)The IR2BT, which is pretty much useless after one of Sony's latest firmwares.
2) Schmart adapter, which which offers full control including power on/off, but costs over 100 dollars. 3) Nyko blu-wave, offers full control except for power on/off, costs 20 dollars.

For the price, this item cannot be beat. Harmony has the Blu-Wave in their database, so I added it, and was controlling my PS3 through my Harmony 550 in less than 3 minutes! Trouble free operation and worth every cent. There is no power off/on, but I go to my PS3 anyways to put the disc in, so really the only thing missing is power off. But that is really not even worth mentioning as its such a minor thing. I really love this product and give it 5 out of 5.
