"Great for power users" I purchased this mouse to replace a Logitech MediaPlay mouse- I was looking for something that was as similar as possible. I used that mouse 9 hours a day for 4 years so it needs to withstand a lot of use. While I agree with other reviewers that the mouse is a little heavy, I don't mind- it feels solid in my hand and it's something I've already gotten used to in the week I've had it. I use the mouse on OSX and have had no issues on Leopard- I did not install the Logitech software and am using the standard driver. The search button does not work but all other buttons work perfectly and are customizable through System Preferences. The mouse is highly accurate and feels very similar to the MediaPlay. The scroll wheel takes some getting used to- I have found that the switch on the bottom does not have to be set to on or off, I have it in a middle position so there is some resistance but not a heavy 'click' as it scrolls- this is not documented anywhere. Overall I'm very happy with the product.
"Don't like the search button, but overall Excellent!" This is an excellent mouse. The shape is great and I love the Forward and Back buttons that you can push with your thumb. The only thing I don't like is the Search button near your fore finger. I tend to bump it by accident and a new browser window pops open. But that function can be disabled. Also, the extended battery life is awesome. I bought this a month ago and have not replaced the batteries. The mouse that this one replaced was getting so bad that it wasn't even a week for a set of batteries.
Overall, a really great wireless mouse!
"Love the wheel, but it takes getting used to" I really love this mouse.
I've had Logitech mice for years, and this feels as good as any Logitech I've ever used. I have fairly big hands, and some mice feel cramped. This does not. I don't notice it at all.
Some have complained about the weight, and it is a little heavy, but I find that to be a boon. It stays where I put it. I don't overshoot my target at all, and if I did, I'd probably just need to turn down the sensitivity.
I use a Mac, and have no use for the extra buttons on mice today. I just want a mouse with three buttons (left, center, right), and a scroll wheel. The fact that this scroll wheel also tilts left and right is another bonus. I don't even use the other buttons on the mouse.
My favorite, FAVORITE part about this mouse is the scroll wheel. I have it turned to flywheel mode, and this thing spins like crazy! I can get to the bottom of a long document EASILY now. I hate having to scroll, scroll, scroll to get down through a long document. Now I can just give my wheel a good spin and it takes me a nice long way down the document. Sometimes I find myself spinning the wheel just for fun.
That brings me to the thing that takes getting used to, and why this only gets four stars. The wheel likes to spin. If you even barely touch it in passing, it'll start to spin. I have had to learn how to keep my finger on the wheel if I need to make fine adjustments, and how to lift my finger off of the wheel so I don't inadvertently cause it to start spinning again. It's not a huge problem, but it just takes a little getting used to.
I find its accuracy to be top-notch, no issues there. I upgraded from a corded Microsoft mouse, and on that one I found myself often accidentally pressing the center key when I was just trying to scroll, and accidentally pressing the right mouse button. This Logitech has much more resistant buttons, which I personally find a huge improvement. I haven't accidentally pressed any of my mouse buttons once since I bought it.
The teflon feet look perfectly solid on this, but I have no doubt they'll eventually peel off. All mice seem to have this problem. To the reviewer whose feet came off in the first day, I don't know what to say. Mine have been fine.
All in all, a great, well-made product. Not too expensive, great features, and a nice-feeling mouse. I would definitely buy one of these again, even for my Mac laptop.
"GREAT MOUSE WHEN USED CORRECTLY" I don't usually don't take the time to rate products, but I really like this mouse and noticed that some others had problems with it while others loved it. Here's my bottom line on it: 1) DOES NOT FEEL CHEAPLY MADE -- to the contrary, feels heavier and more substantial than the previous Logitech corded laser mice I have owned; I have used it for 6 months or more and the feet are not coming off or anything like that. So I really don't know what other reviewers are talking about here, unless they are used to some kind of high-end heavy duty mouse or something. Looking at my mouse, it would take an effort to physically take the feet off of it, so I can't understand the "separating feet" comment either. 2) WIRELESS RANGE CAN BE AN ISSUE -- some of the other reviews mention this mouse has "jerky" behaviour. I had the same problem until I moved the USB receiver from my PC tower (which was under the desk) to a USB hub I have on my desktop that is closer to the mouse. So jerkiness is not an inherent problem with this mouse, but you DO need to be able to place the USB receiver module in close enough proximity to the mouse to ensure you don't have this problem. 3) WORKS GREAT WITH WINDOWS XP -- some reviewers had problem using this mouse with one of the MAC operating systems. I can't comment on this, but I had absolutely no problem or trouble using this with Windows XP. Was a seamless process. 4) GREAT PRICE -- I think $39 at Amazon is a great price for what you're getting here. Some of the other cordless mice are over $100, so logically these more expensive mice have to be better/more features in some respects or they are taking you to the cleaners! But this mouse meets all the requirements I have for a mouse.
"GREAT MOUSE FOR MAC" I bought this mouse at a discounted price...It works great with my iMAC. I did read all the bad experiences with other mac user. I don't understand it. It might be the older macs giving problems. It does take some time to get everything just right but after, the time was well spent. I recommend this mouse to all MAC users.

What our customer's say!
"I MEAN !!! for ANY OS cept...Apple if you don't know what's up.", I tell you what...this mouse has done every thing I've ask of it..for 3 years on many OS's I want you to note that the blatant majority of less than four stars is all mac owners...too bad...get a real Linux! If you get this mouse you will never be sorry and if you decide to "OWN" Linux as an OS the learning curve is vertical but when you look back you will only say "OMG"...why did I ever use anything else...(blatant plug for the only OS worth suffering through)...(windoze user for 16yrs till vista stuck it in me) Regards M.
"Logitech MX620 Review", This is a very nice wireless laser mouse. It has a good feel and mass and fits my large hand comfortably. While I was interested the speed scroll, I find myself using the ratchet mode mostly. Buttons feel good. Accuracy is great and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet. My last Logitech mouse lasted over six years, this one may top that.
"Nice Product", The Logitech MX620 Cordless Laser Mouse worked just great from plug in to point. No glitches. Thanks
"Takes some getting used to", I've been using Microsoft mice for years and this mouse feels very, very different. It might just be the driver software but it definitely tracks differently. The fast scroll wheel is great for long documents but sometimes it keep spinning after I've moved the mouse and I've inadvertently scrolled a window I didn't intend to. On the up side, though, there's a switch on the bottom to turn the fast scrolling off so I've been switching it back and forth on an application-by-application basis. Search button is great; I have it mapped to Google search. Mouse definitely feels sturdy and solid and I love the little tiny transceiver.
"GREAT MOUSE", This is my second MX620 - I use one at home, and one at the office. It is responsive, smooth, and does NOT eat batteries. I highly recommend it.

"Logitech MX620 Cordless Laser Mouse", Another great product from Logitech. I've used their keyboards and mice for years always with great results. The mouse has a great feel and the buttons are well located. I especially like the side scrolling feature
"One of the best mice for Mac I have found", This is one of the best mice I have found to work well on Mac.
I've been using Mac now for several years after being a lifelong Windows user. I had been using the Apple bluetooth wireless mice and in general I liked them, but after a while they would start acting up. It would become very difficult to right-click or the scroll ball would get dirty and start sticking. The dirty scroll ball is easy to fix (just clean it) but the right-click issue would really become a problem. I ended up going through probably 4 or 5 of these mice before I decided to ditch it and try something else.
I then did some research online and ended up buying quite a few more mice. The first was a Microsoft bluetooth mouse. It took a bit of "hacking" to get it working on Mac but eventually it paired up but I didn't like the performance at all. It was very laggy and unprecise.
After more research, I then ordered the bluetooth mouse from Razer. Razer is very well known as the makers of some of the best mice for gaming. Very precise and accurate. But, they are a bit expensive. I ended up ordering two of these based on the great reviews (one for my Mac Pro and one for my laptop). These turned out to indeed be very precise and accurate but they had an irritating trait. If you let it sit still for just a couple seconds (and I mean only 2 or 3 here), when i went to move it again it would have a slight delay in responding and thus the mouse pointer would end up jumping. I found this extremely annoying and made it very difficult to use. I contacted Razer about this and after a few email exchanges and testing on different computers (I tried on a total of 6 different Macs all with the same experience), they told me this was due to it going into a "power saving" mode to make the batteries last longer. I told them this was ridiculous and this should only happen maybe after a couple minutes of sitting still. Not just a couple seconds. They told me they'd bring this up with their engineers.
I then decided to give up on bluetooth as nobody seems to make bluetooth mouse that responds well with the exception of Apple but their mice have different issues.
So, I then tried a Microsoft wireless mouse that uses a USB dongle instead of bluetooh for wireless communication. This mouse turned out to also have bad delay problems.
So, finally I decided to give Logitech a try and ordered this mouse (MX620) from Amazon. The same day I also ended up going to a local big box store and picked up the Logitech VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks as it was on sale. The VX Revolution is very similar to this mouse but it is marketed as a "notebook" mouse and is thus a bit smaller. I figured I'd use the VX for my laptop.
So, I tried them both. First I tried this mouse from Amazon and it worked great! Very responsive and accurate. No delays. No lag. It was just perfect. I was so relieved to have finally found a decent Mac mouse!
I then decided to try the VX Revolution and it worked just as well as this one (MX620). But, I liked it a bit better due to the "feet" on it. They are made out of some kind of very slippery material and it glided much smoother over my hard plastic Everglide mouse pad. The MX620 has feet that aren't quite as "slippery" and thus takes a bit more effort to get it to start moving. The result ended up being that the VX was better for making very small movements.
So, I love both the MX620 and the VX Revolution mice. They are both excellent mice for Mac users out there. They also make an Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse which also sounds great (same slippery feet as the VX Revo but is a full size mouse). But, I didn't want to give it a try as it is rechargeable and thus requires a charging base to be on your desk and you have to remember to keep putting the mouse back in the charger. For me, I didn't want the extra desk clutter and yet another power brick to deal with. I'd rather have a mouse that uses normal batteries which these two mice do.
"Looking for a pro bluetooth mouse? Try this great, full size alternative", I've been looking for a FULL SIZED wireless mouse for my MacBook Pro desktop setup. I haven't found a good Bluetooth mouse that isn't "notebook sized" and decided to go the RF route. Even though, you have to plug in a tiny receiver (1") in a USB port, it did not cause me any problems (I have a Cinema Display with a free port plugged into my laptop).
WEIGHT The mouse is almost double the weight (almost 6oz) of its corded cousin (Logitech MX 400 at 3.5oz). As a full-time designer, this might pose some fatigue issues, but a wireless environment was a priority. The heavier weight actually helps me move the mouse slower and more accurately for very detailed work.
TRACKING The response time and accuracy is much better than the BT mice I have tried (Mighty mouse, Logitech V470) and there isn't the occasional jittery jumps of a BT connection. The connection is instant - no lag. As with my last laser mouse, you have to be mindful of the slightest laser obstruction (pet hair, eyelash, lint) as this will cause the mouse to mis-track. Also, laser mice only work on solid, non-reflective surfaces (i.e. no glass desks).
BUTTONS/MAC SOFTWARE The buttons and scroll wheel feel responsive and smooth, and the overall shape really contours to my hand. As of MARCH 2008, all the buttons, dynamics for tracking, speed, acceleration, etc. can be fully programmed using the latest Logitech software for Intel MAC OS 10.5.
BATTERIES The battery level indicator is useful since it is not a rechargeable unit - which is good for me since it's one less cord to manage. I own a cradle full of rechargeable batteries for my various electronics.
Overall a great mouse.
"liking it so far", just started using it a couple weeks ago. so far, it's been pretty good. i would like it if the mousewheel gave a little more resistance on each turn/click, whatever you call it.
"Returning it immediately", Just bought it 3 hours ago and can't wait to return it. Don't like the scrolling wheel and not as precise as my previous corded mouse. No thanks!
