"disappointing"
We have purchased and played every Nancy Drew game as a family. Our kids currently range in age from 6-15. We have been playing these for 6 or 7 years. Although there are some interesting twists and turns, overall this game lacked the excitement of many of the prior games. The kitchen, the snowball fight, and the snowmobile chase were all boring and repetitive. We like the puzzles which require thinking and remembering, and there are precious few in this game. This game also had so few characters and such a limited setting that it lacked much depth. This was our least favorite of all the Nancy Drew games. We hope for improvement in future games.

"Great fun"
The kids love playing this game.

It works well on Windows Vista Ultimate.

"Nancy Drew White Wolf"
This game is great. Not only because of the fun but the organizational skills required.

"Very good..."
I started to play these puzzle games to get away from 1st person shooters and I'm starting to get addicted! I liked this wolf one. Towards the end I didn't make two meals because that does start to get tedious. Does anyone know what happens if you don't make any meals and/or just move the clock ahead past the meal times?
Anyway, I liked the settings and people in this game. I thought pelting the girl with snowballs to get past her was hilarious! The geese fox game was easy, it was the paramid that slowed me up. And yes, just keep your cursor on the lead snowmobile in the final scenes.
If you are a fan of the Nancy Drew games get this one, you won't be diappointed.

What our customer's say!

"Games", I just started playing mystery games and am addicted to them now. But if I ever had a problem with the game I would send it back and there would be no problem of a replacement. I would buy over and over. I am very pleased with the products and the company.j So of course I will be back.

"really fun game ", the graphics are very good, the story line is better than the "legend of the crystal skull" which is the next one after this one and this game is fun to play. this is a good game, almost like the books.

"Challenging but fun", The children worked together to solve the mystery. It took a lot of work but they were happy with success.

"SUPER GREAT GAME!!!!!", This was the first Nancy Drew PC game I have played but I LOVED it!! My sister almost cried when we solved it and we are already looking for a new game to buy. It had very good illustrations and I hope that you will try this game as well! It is NOT a waste of money!!

"Some Good, Some Bad", I have not yet finished playing Nancy Drew and the White Wolf of Icicle Creek yet, and am not that far into it yet. However, my first Nancy Drew game was The Beast of Blackmoor Manor, which was incredible and challenging, also exciting and thrilling (a little scary, too.). Perhaps that game was just too much to follow up to, but Icicle Creek is not as fun or exciting. Blackmoor dealt with suspense and intrigue, and Nancy Drew not so much. Also, what I don't like is the constant green "L's" around everything you should click on. It drives me nuts, because they remain even affter I've clicked on them. It doesn't change for senior detective, either. The other thing I don't like is how if you want to go on a path somewhere, Nancy has to walk for you first. It is kind of a waste of time. I wish we could walk ourselves like in Blackmoor. Finally, I'm not a huge fan of scheduling all of your game time around the fact that you constantly have to watch the clock to see if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner time. Making it is rather tedious; maybe it wouldn't be if there weren't so many dishes to make. Also, shoveling the pond is difficult for me; I'm not sure I understand it and I always manage to fall in. That is another thing; whenever you make a mistake, you have to listen to a phone conversation for 5 minutes that you cannot skip by before you can start again. And let it be known that driving the snowmobile is overrated! But don't let this review scare you out of buying this game; my advice is to buy The Beast of Blackmoor Manor first, and play it. Then you can play this one. Or better yet, do that in the reverse order. Then you will see the difference. But not a bad game; I could never say Nancy Drew games are not fun! They're worth your time, usually family friendly (besides a few scary parts, like in Blackmoor) and they make you think!

"Save your money", I've played all of the Nancy Drew games with my daughter, and this is by far the worst. For one, although we were able to play all the other games just fine, this one suddenly required a memory upgrade to play. After the upgrade (thanks Her Interactive for thinking of us parents!), plus updating all my drivers and video cards, we finally get to play. And boy was that an enjoyable experience! The story is terrible, and the game is tedious, if not annoying. The characters are all unlikeable, from the hired hand who spends the entire game working on a foot trap for a wolf (nice touch!) to the self-absorbed owner of the cabin who puts profits before people (great message). My daughter, who has played all the games, became frustrated many times, as she was stopped from progressing in the game, for some arbitrary reason (a phone call needed to be made or she had to follow a specific order). After one tedious task after another, we finally make it to the end of the game. Then we "enjoyed" a snowmobile chase that took at least hundred times of mind numbing repetition to get to the final scene and completely hokey explanation. Finally, the mystery is completely third-rate - there is absolutely no motivation for the villain, and nothing in the game seems to lead to anything mildy resembling a coherent solution.

Save your money. This is the turkey of all turkeys.

"A Small, Very Small, Step Up...", I own and have played all of the prior Nancy Drew games, but hated Creature of Kapu Cave to the extent that I almost didn't buy this game. I enjoyed this game, but found it to be lacking in some very important areas. If you are new to the Nancy games and are trying to decide which one to buy, I would not recommend you start with this one. Choose any of the games from #2-11 and you will understand the publics infatuation with these games. Anyway (now that I'm off of the bunny trail), here is what I think of The White Wolf of Icicle Creek.

Plot-B+ I am all FOR saving the wolves, and preserving them. That being said, this game sort of went to the extremes of trying to educate the public about them. Long, pointless phone conversations with different individuals just about the endangered species can get rather dull. I really do approve wholeheartedly with the message trying to be made, but being subtle about it would have been better.

Graphics- A+ I really love snow, and walking around in a whole lot of snow was really pleasant even if everything did look exactly alike. Indoors, the graphics were just as excellent as any of the other games. In fact, they looked almost real!

Puzzles- C+ The puzzles in this game were reminiscent of... chores? Yes, that is exactly what most of them were! Shoveling snow off of the ice skating rink (and you don't even get to skate!), making three, yes three, meals a day for the guests (not really a puzzle, just a time filler), making beds and cleaning rooms (again a time filler), solving a mind numbing and challenging (not in a good way) board game four times to get four tokens... the list goes on and on! There were a few genuine puzzles to solve, but they were unremarkable to say the least! I really like the chores that were in The Secret of the Scarlet Hand because most of them pertained to solving the case in some way or the other, but not in this case!

Ending- A- The ending was good in that I had no idea who the culprit was. The game kept me guessing right up until the end. The bad thing about the ending was the final challenge (I guess we can call it that). I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I will say that it took a great deal of dexterity with your hands to be able to do it. And it was way to easy to die. I don't know how many times I died! Not bad, but the ending could have been better.

Content- A++ There is no objectionable content to even mention. It is a clean game for all ages (but don't get fooled into thinking that it is only for kids!). There are no scary things that would upset younger children, and I guess the only violent thing is that Nancy gets knocked out with an ice ball. (No blood, nothing. You see stars and wake up a minute later.)

Overall- B+ It was a good game, just don't try to compare it with the others, because it just doesn't compare!

Hope I was helpful...

"Fun!Fun!Fun!", This game is alot of fun. The graphics are super and mystery is great.
