Others say...
"Too many bugs" First frustration was program locking up quite often. Second is that text and graphics positioned on the design page don't always end up in the exact same position when you "build" the site (basically a preview of what it is going to look like on the web). The final straw was uploading the file and finding out it would only load an older version of the file. The file name remained the same, but none of the new material we added and saved is there. It's there when you are working with the file, but it's missing when you upload. Not even going to try tech support based on all the unfavorable reviews.
"Terrible Service" I purchased the CD version, installation went ok. Then, I double-clicked on the WebEasy icon. Nothing. Program startup hangs. Uninstalled, and tried using the downloaded version from Avanquest. Same problem. I've not been successful in getting through to tech support. After two calls that were on hold nearly 1.5hrs total, I give up. By the way, the computer is a smoothly performing Toshiba TabletPC, with XP Pro. All other sofware on it works fine. I finally got through to a Customer Service rep, who basically had excuses about why there wasn't tech support available. Hard to imagine that a company can be successful in the long run if it doesn't take care of its customers.
They did seem to have an easy way to get a refund, which I'm likely to try.
"great product for a novice, but terrible customer service" I was able to build a nice website using this product no thanks to any manuals or tech support (which is non existent). If you call their number (which is NOT Toll free) expect to wait almost an hour on hold. I have the professional edition and apparantly tech support does not deal with. So... after an hour on hold before reaching a human, I was told to use email. They also will answer one email and usually a form letter response. Don't expect any more from them. If I had more technical skills I would definitely upgrade to a better program than this one!!
"YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED" I realize that my review is not about this product, but I think it is relevant to potential purchasers of Avanquest products. I do not know anything about this particular program, but have had considerable difficulty with Avanquest as detailed below.
I purchased My Ultimate Organizer 7.0 via download and subsequent key.
I am not making this up - the product displayed a message in Serbo-Croatian telling me the key had expired.
Four hours later with Technical Support and the problem is still not resolved (despite erasing the program, reinstalling, trying different keys, searching the Windows Registry, etc). It takes a full hour on hold to get a technical support representative and at the conclusion of the last session, I was told to contact Customer Service for a CD copy in the hopes that that would resolve the issue. Now Customer Service tells me Technical Support must send me the copy, although Technical Support says otherwise. I am out $30 for a program that is at this point, totally useless, and left adrift by Avanquest who has my money and refuses to help me.
I would purchase Avanquest products with extreme caution. If you have a Technical Support issue, you will have to wait a minimum of 60 minutes on hold (no 800 number), and then get fairly substandard service after that.
"I LOVE this software!" I've created three sites with WebEasy so far, and I have to say it's the easiest to use website creation software I've ever found... and I spent almost six months looking for something that didn't require a programming degree to figure out! Granted, I created fairly simple websites without ecommerce, chat, or RSS feeds. If you want a more robust site, chose a different package. If you want a simple website up and running in a day, choose Web Easy. Examples of my WebEasy sites can be found at [...] or [...].

What our customer's say!
"It might be easy but it doesn't work right.", This is a terrible product. I had nothing but trouble with it, kept shutting down when I tried to add photos or anything I had to import from "outside" the software. Then when I went to upload, nothing. No support to speak of - no one could tell me why it wouldn't work.I threw it away finally. Stay away, this product sucks.
"Waste of Money", I purchased this software to avoid paying monthly for software usage through my hosting provider. Waht a waste of $. WebEasy is neither easy nor is the tech/customer support of any help.
I am not a novice. I have some html understanding and am a former help desk tech. Building my site was easy. Getting help to get a form from my site sent to me via email should have been as well. The best place to find support for ths software is on the user forum site where everyone is complaining about how poorly the software works. I finally figured out my email issue from a help doc that had nothing to do with my problem or my software. Tech Support was rude and useless and wouldn't answer my simple question of "where do I insert the code provided by my hosting company so my mail forms will work?" I got a two page lesson in html instead of directions that should have said "open x, click on x, paste your line of code here" (My fix really WAS that simple!)
I've owned the software for 1-2 months now and now it crashes everytime I open it. I now how to waste hours more of my time just so I can update my website.
Run , Forest, run! Don't buy this garbage!
"A very satisfied customer", The reviews here seem to divide into really love this product or really hate it. I'm in the really love it category. I needed to put together a website for my business, but I'm certainly not a programmer. This software allowed me to put together a very satisfactory website in a weekend with a few snags. The website has a dozen pages, hyperlinks, graphic, nice background/foreground color effects, and pdf download links - not real sophistocated stuff, but very satisfactory for my purposes. I've gotten lots of compliments about it spontaneously from users, and it has absolutely increased my business. The several snags I encountered when putting this together required me to seek support from the manufacturer. Unlike some of the other posters here, I got email responses to my queries within a few days for each of the problems I ran into, and especially pleasing was that the suggestions in the responses promptly solved the problem in question each time. A few days ago I ran into another problem with how the software was displaying on my monitor; a quick emailed response from the company today solved this problem with one simple setting change. This is way better support than I've encountered with most other vendors I've dealt with over the years.
"DO NOT BUY", Web Easy is a MISNOMER. There have been so many SNAFUs. The most recent is saving internal links and then the link disappears!!! So much time has been wasted. Website and manual are worthless for problems. "Support service" is also pretty much a misnomer, as well. Unfortunately, Richard Labrie is right on the money. DO NOT BUY.
"Very nice, simple to use until...", I've created two beautiful websites although I must emphasise that mine are very basic using the included templates. I've not tried all the "bells & whistles."
My one complaint so far is that I'm ready to build and put it online, but cannot find ANYWHERE what the charge for that will be. I'm not about to sign up for something until I know the costs involved. And, as noted by others, support is limited to the user manual and requires patience & fortitude sometimes to no avail. Don't expect to actually get personal tech support here.

"Amazingly Easy ", I was amazed I was able to create 2 web sites that were about 5 pages each in an hour and a half without ever looking at the included manual! The templates are well designed and appealing. It's obvious that forethought was given to the psychology of color used in creating them. It is very easy to customize the templates by creating rollovers, repositioning and changing the color of text and even creating animated elements. While looking though the menus I found that if I knew HTML or Javascript I could have incorporated my own code. I was relieved to see the included clip art, images and photos are cool and fun. It is also easy to incorporate your own graphics & photos and WebEasy did a pretty good job of optimizing them for me. I was also able to easily preview my sites in my browser and make some necessary corrections before they would be posted. Since I have absolutely no experience with building web sites and consider myself a total newbie I was really impressed WebEasy made it so easy, intuitive and quick.
"Great Software... Especially for Beginners", WebEasy was easy for me to use (even without any programming knowledge) and helped me get a great website up very quickly. The templates are another great addition for the beginner as it had all the structure set up and all I had to do was eneter in the content. A great product for anybody trying to get up thier first website.
"Beware! NO Tech Support - Serial Number Stops Working", *** UPDATED 5/16
- After reaching a HIGHER UP at Avanquest, I was referred to several techs who had me try different things, yet the issue STILL could not be fixed.
This is a great BASIC Web designer. However, beware that you may experience the same issues with startup especially running Vista.
I am looking forward to se if the next version is any better.
You will notice on the Avanquest Support Forum that there are MANY users having a problem where after the 1st reboot of their vista machine the software no longer retains your serial number. You have to enter it each time over and over.
Emails to tach support go unanswered with nothing but reply messages saying someone will get back in a day. But nothing happens at all.
This product alsmot can be considered abandonware with this type of support. All I want to do is USE it, and the sewrial number issue continues to happen.. (not only to me .. to many).
I can't comment on the features since I haven't been able to properly get it started!
"DO NOT USE THEIR E-COMMERCE ", The software works great What ever you do STAY AWAY from CHARGE.COM. It is included and encouraged to be used for e-commerce using Web Easy software. They are a scam taking money from tens of thousands of people. Go to google and type in charge.com also known as pipeline data and Cts holdings They are all the same company and start reading the nightmares people have dealt with.
"WebEasy creates good web sites, but requires some patience", I used Web Easy 7 Professional to make a very professional-looking web site, equal to sites created by much more expensive software. Web Easy did almost everything I required. I created my own page style and format, inserted text and hypertext links, and imported graphics and photos. Pages within a site can be different lengths, but if you start with a supplied template of a certain width, you apparently can't change it.
It's easy to preview the site you create, and what you see is really what you get. You can include meta tags on your site, but it seems that all pages of your site will have the same meta tags. You can insert a visitor counter, but you may need assistance from your ISP to have it count correctly. Many feedback form styles are available, but I haven't yet figured out how to make them send all of the information entered in the fields. The tables I could make in Web Easy were not satisfactory for a catalog with more than 50 items. You could divide your catalog up into several web pages, or use a link to open an Excel spreadsheet or Word document. Also, I couldn't paste a whole Excel or Word table into a Web Easy table.
Learning to use Web Easy took some effort, particularly because I wanted to create my own web site from scratch rather than using one of the templates supplied. The user's manual is pretty elementary, but the help menu is detailed, searchable, and generally helpful. Uploading my site to the web was frustrating. You need to enter host information into the Publish Assistant without many clues from the manual or the help menu. When I finally entered the right information, I got the cryptic error message "The web site package is older than the web site document", and only one page of my site uploaded, even though the site looked fine with the preview function. The error message should have described how to fix the problem. Eventually I figured out that it could easily be fixed by clicking Build / Web Site. You can visit my site at www.KeySynthesis.com
