"OK music, do not confuse for the score"
I bought this soundtrack strictly because I knew it was associated with The Transformers Movie. The songs are okay. Only 3 or 4 tracks actually appear in the movie. The rest of the tracks grow on you. Buy only if you feel that you must have every scrap of Transformers movie merchandise.

"A Good Soundtrack"
I really enjoyed this record. The songs by Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Smashing Pumpkins are solid, and the song "Pretty Handsome Awkward," was my favorite of the movie (that's the song that plays when Bumblebee is being chased by Barracade). I also think the track by Julien-K was fun, even though I don't think it plays in the film. I think this CD is a keeper.

"Certainly better than 2 stars"
Ok some idiots on here are complaining that a few of the songs used in the movie weren't on here but why would you want Sexual Healing? That song is crap and Drive is on a million other older complitations. It would have been nice to have a few more tracks, 12 just isn't enough for a soundtrack but for the most part it's good. The new stuff from Linkin Park and Smashing Pumpkins is good and the song Second To None is great. This isn't a 5 star cd but certainly more than 2, maybe 3 1/2 but way too many crybabies here.

"One of several albums you will have to purchase."
There is the Pop music from the movie, and then the score album. I bought both and they are both 'good' on their own. It is a problem when you have to buy two albums. Not for what they have, but for what they don't have to obtain most of the music. I would rather have the Original Soundtrack - Score Music, but since I have bought this one, I will keep.

This album DOES NOT have 'all the pop music', (IMHO) just the ones that 'Dreamworks Video' thought would sell more albums and they would have to shell out less for the artists in the long run.

I would have to rate this album as a disappointment in the throughness of artists in the movie. If you want the 'BumbleBee' version, you will have to do what I have done and write down all the artists in the end credits and make your own playlist. It has taken me a week+ to compile them all. I would imagine that more people would buy this album if it contained all the pop music, not just the newer and harder artists who were sometimes not even part of the movie, but played during the end credits??? But, that is just my opinion.

Now, if you want the score music, you have to buy the Original Soundtrack - Score Music. If you have XM, go to Cinemagic (Channel 27) and they will play it once in a while. Cinemagic also only plays the 'pop music' in a very small segment of their programming and I seriously doubt they will play anything harder than Linkin Park so not to offend someone.

BOTTOMLINE: I was disappointed with this one. If you want it all, do what I did and buy the score album and then compile the pop music in a playlist of your own.

"Good after work music"
Good mix of tunes for the after work drive. Last trac is WAY dorky though.

What our customer's say!

"Some Pretty Good Stuff", I picked up the Transformers soundtrack after watching the movie a couple of times. I liked some of the hard hitting guitar riffs and vocals. There are a couple of really good tracks on this CD, and listening to them brings back some of the mental images of the movie. My favorite track is "Pretty Handsome Awkward" by The Used. Heavy punch! I am not a real fan of toy robots, but I did find the movie to be good mindless entertainment with alot of good action (and Megan Fox was certainly worth watching!). This CD is worth a try.

"Huge waste of money.", I listened to this CD at a friends house and I am so glad that I didn't purchase this CD. A total waste of plastic. I also own the 1986 Animated Film Album CD and that has outstanding music and songs. This CD is filled with songs made by bands that aren't dedicated to making Transformers songs. This CD is very disappointing. Today's music is just bad. Most bands are in it for the money and image. The dedication and actual desire to make music relating to movies doesn't exist anymore. I'm a fan of Linkin Park's earlier song and Smashing Pumpkins early work, but this CD and their songs on here are disappointments. Try the samples out, and unless you want a compilation of these songs, don't waste your time purchasing this CD. There is also a much better CD out that has the SCORE of the movie, the music created by the talented musical composers, NOT the music created by artists that are looking to create garbage music and still pickup their paycheck.

"a couple of good sounds but the rest stink", a couple of songs on here are pretty good but the rest of them aren't worth it.

"Good Cd", It's not the best soundtrack I've ever heard, but it was pretty good. There are a lot of high energy songs on it that fit with the tone of the movie. I like pretty much all of the bands featured, so I really liked this cd. The high points of it are Before It's Too Late, Doomsday Clock, End of the World, and What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? Those to me are just the best songs, but the whole cd is worth listening to. It's especially great to listen to while working out. I really enjoyed this soundtrack. Good work to all who were involved.

"Why can't people get soundtrack and score right?", I am personally tired of reading reviews about how this or that song wasn't on the CD. This is the soundtrack of the movie and it has a lot of good songs on it, if you want the music, the stuff throughout the movie that has no lyrics you are looking for the score, also available through Amazon, not the soundtrack. I say this as a service because I hate looking through pages of reviews trying to find out why something is rated so low only to discover the individual doesn't know what they are talking about, it wastes my time and yours. Most movies have a score and soundtrack these days, so if you don't find what you want on one check for the other. So if you liked the soundtrack get this CD, if you liked the score you're on the wrong page.

"bad", The sounds are not recorded in the soundtrack. It is songs only and even songs that were not in the film????????

"Score is coming October 9, 2007", I find this album to be junk. I would much rather have had all the good songs in the film.

However, the score is finally being released! Check out Amazon for October 9, 2007!!! A little late, but worth the wait!

"Score coming Oct 9", Just browsing around the future releases section and the Score comes out Oct. 9. Hope that helps..

"Nice and Fast Paced", I enjoyed the movie, and I liked the soundtrack. Decent fast paced music to listen to.

"AN AWESOME COLLECTION OF SONGS!", This CD of music from and inspired by the "Transformers" movie is fantastic! I'm not usually into this sort of music, but the songs on this CD fit the movie well. The standout songs on this CD are: Linkin Park's spiritually-themed anthem "What I've Done;" "Doomsday Clock" by the recently re-formed Smashing Pumpkins; the Goo Goo Dalls powerful ballad "Before it's too Late," and; Mutemath's techno update of the "Transformers Theme." While there are a couple of songs on here that aren't so great, the rest of the songs more than make up for it. Fans of the film and of hard-rock albums will enjoy "Transformers: The Album."
