"A Very Entertaining Game"
My wife is a elementary school teacher and this game was recommended by some of her students. We bought the WII for my wife's mother who is 80 years old. She loves playing this game with her granddaughter. The game has various levels or "areas" of a carnival. Duck Shoot, Dunk Tank, Fortune Teller are just a few. I would recommend this game to anyone. Item arrived sooner than expected.

"Best ShovelWare available for Wii"
It is no doubt that Nintendo and all of its affiliates squeeze the life out of Nintendo's less knowledgeable gamers. Nintendo and its affiliates shoot out some of the worst games known to any console system. The term for these games is "Shovelware". Shovelware are games that are brought out to look very fun and have a starting price of $50 like any other new Wii game, but are so bad that within a week they are going for $10 new. Carnival games is one of the best pieces of Shovelware to ever be released for the Wii. One player to Four players can get pretty repetitive and boring. However, it is a FANTASTIC game for parties. If there is a party of eight or more people, this is a fun game to break out. Everybody looks at it as if it is the child's game it truly is, but once they play it, everybody is laughing and having fun. This game was a great success. It hits the children age group and the older age group. It is literally fun for the whole family. This is a highly recommended game for children and/or parties.

"Family and Friend Friendly"
After reading the great reviews for this game, I decided to purchase it.
My in-laws were in town visiting for the holidays and were tired from their long flight. We wanted to do something that was low-impact, yet still got everyone talking and having fun.
This was the game!
You can play with up to 4 people and have the option of using 4 different remotes or just one for everyone (like bowling in Wii sports.) We each had our own remotes but did not think it added anything to the game. You can easily play with one remote for four people just fine, just pass the remote when it is someone's turn.
The game comes with a little booklet of instructions, which pretty much states what it does on the screen when a new game comes up. It gives you the directions, and then lets you have at it. My in-laws and us had more fun learning the new game than the game itself. One of us would try it, and fail miserably, and then the next person would get a little bit better and so on. By the end of the round, you pretty much figure out how to do it but it is a party in itself with everyone learning how on earth to throw the ball into the cup, and so on.
We played two separate times because it was so much fun, and my in-laws thought it was a perfect way to relax when they got in. After playing it, I think it would be suitable for all ages. In fact, I think children might be better at this than adults, as they tend to figure out the remote moves faster than their parents (in my experience.) It is definitely family friendly. I could even see kids playing this during sleepovers, as well as adult game nights
I would call this game a "sleeper hit" In other words, just a like a sleeper movie, I wouldn't have grabbed it had I seen it on the shelves before reading the reviews. However I am a believer, and find this game worth the cost!

"family fun!!"
This was a Christmas present for the entire family - although, our 8-year-old son thinks it was just for him. We are truly having a blast with it and we don't even really know what we are doing, yet!! Definitely recommend this to all!

"Tons of fun!!"
This is a great pack of games, and there's more to it than meets the eye. Not only are the basic games fun, but there are "Easter eggs" throughout, as well as "super" versions of the games which can be unlocked. You can play individually, as a team, in head-to-head competition, prize mode, etc. While some games require skill, others depend on sheer luck, which allows players of all ages to play together. All in all, a good buy for the money.

What our customer's say!

"Great Family Game!", This game is great for almost any ages. There are few games my three year can play and challenging games for older kids and adult. Even my daughter who doesn't play much video games, loves it.

"It's like being at a county fair, without the smells", Here are the basics: Over 30 games in a Carnival or County Fair theme. Single or multiplayer (up to four). Uses the standard Wii controller.

You begin by creating a character: You do NOT use your Mii in this game. You select gender and age, then create a face, add clothes, hats, etc. You can add additional clothing by trading tickets (you win these by playing games), or by unlocking special clothing and accessories during game play. Some of these accessories include pirate garp, elephant shoes, lazer gun, party hat, hard hat, and more. It can actually get rather ridiculous the crazy things you can dress your character up in.

In single player mode you have all main games available to you. You select which lane of the midway you want and each one has four main games, two super games (you have to unlock), and then an additional game that requires tickets to play.

Main Game examples: Ski ball, basketball toss, dart throw, ring toss, coin toss, football throw, baseball and milk bottles, hole in one, and much more. Each time you win a game you get one of three prize sizes based on how well you did. You can trade up these prizes if you get enough of them to unlock one of two super games in each section of the midway.

Super Game examples: If you get enough prizes in the main ring toss game you can unlock super ring toss. Super games do NOT give you prizes or tickets, they only give you "high score" abilities within the game.

Side Game examples: Love Meter, The Claw (try to get a toy prize from the machine). These games take tickets to play them and will sometimes win you tickets back or a small prize that you can add to your collection.

There are over 250 virtual prizes you can win in the game. Most of them are little stuffed animals or trinkets like you might see at a normal county fair. It's actually rather entertaining to see what they are - dinosaurs that growl, cop cars that wail with a siren, etc.

Secret Unlocks: Occassionally you will see a flying saucer go across the screen - if you click it you unlock a special clothing accessory. Same with groundhogs that pop up out of the ground, or a monkey out of a barrel. Look for these "out of place" items and click them as fast as you can.

Controller: The controller is well used in this game. Holding it like a dart, overhand throws, underhand tosses, angled left and right like a steering wheel, and much more. It really takes advantage of the accelerometer features - especially in the test of strength when you have to vigorously shake the controller to "build up strength" before you slam the mallet onto the platform.

For the new price (which recently dropped), this is an excellent single player game or party game where you can go head to head or in competition mode with up to four players. Competition mode randomly chooses 5 games for you to compete in, while head to head allows you to select which game you want to challenge someone to.

Fun for the whole family, with cute graphics, sounds, and vocals from the variety of "carnie" characters.

"Tons of Fun For All Ages!", I received this as a gift for Christmas on Christmas day when all of my family was over. We were at first unsure how to play the games, but once we got into it, my whole family was playing. My 81 year old gramps was even getting the hang of it!

There are tons of different games to choose from on this disc. If the basket toss or balloon pop isn't your thing, why not try the target practice, horse racing, milk bottle knock over, or tons of others. It's well worth the price, whatever you end up paying. $30 or even $40 dollars for a Wii game loaded with PLENTY of things to keep you busy. I like that!

I now prefer playing this game rather than spending my hard-earned money at a carnival in town. All those times you would normally keep paying dollar after dollar...now all you use here is imaginary tickets. Okay with me!

"FANTASTIC GAME FOR ALL AGES", This is a fantastic game that the whole family can play together. There is so much to do it never gets old. Just to name a few games, there is alley ball, test your strength, milk bottle throw, darts, dunk tank and so much more. All of the games use the motion senser in the controller. You can play solo or multiplayer up to 4 people. This is a very good game and I give it 5 stars.

"Carnival Games", I bought this game for my niece for Christmas after a coworker recommended it. We spent over an hour exploring the different options yesterday. As boardwalk game players, it was great fun for both of us. Some of the games are just as frustrating to win as they are in real life. Highly recommended.

"CARNIVAL GAMES = Family time", Great game to get together and have the family spend quality time. Just like we all USED to do. But instead of on a board its on a screen!!

"Great game", This game is all it claims to be. Using the Wii as an interface makes it even better. My kids love it and cannot stop playing it. the only issue was the shipping method. Amazon shipped it and the CD case was crushed, luckily, the Game CD was OK. They should pack them better in the future

"Decent fun for just about everybody", I doubt this game is for everyone, but if you have some interest in it I'd recommend trying it out. One player is not that exciting, but if you get multiple players then you can start to have some fun. This would be a great game to have around when company came over or for more of a family style game night. Game play can be a bit slow at times, because you are having to go through several screens to get to games or having to wait on an animation. It's not horrible, but when only getting three shots at a game, you'd like to be able to quickly play again without going through a bunch of menus/screens.

On the plus side, they did a great job of creating a carnival atmosphere. The graphics are good and just about any age can play this game. The menus are simple to navigate. You can build your own character as well, but it would be great to just use the Mii that you already have. Maybe they will introduce that in a new edition of the game.

There are many titles included (which is a great positive to this game), so I will not discuss all of them. But here are some highlights:

**HOOPS: A pretty good implementation of the real game. It can take a little time to get used to it, but once you do you'll be making shots left and right.

**DAY AT THE RACES: Simple game of trying to get your horse to the finish line by putting your ball in the holes with the most points. Easy to play and fairly competitive.

**ALLEY BALL: Probably my favorite, both in real play and in Carnival Games. Everyone has probably played this game at one time or another. You just roll the ball up the alley and try to get it in the hole with the most points. Similar to bowling or skeeball.

**CLOWN SPLASH: Pump up your water gun and shoot the water at the clown. Fill the balloon up with water until it pops and you win. This is another fairly competitive game that was well implemented.

**DARTS: Another one of my favorites. It is fairly realistic and you almost feel like you are throwing a real dart at the balloons. They did a great job on this one.

**HOLE IN ONE: This one could be improved upon. In fact, I have also played "Carnival Games: Mini Golf" and that game is great. This version is hard to get used to and is not as accurate.

**DUNK TANK: This one is decent and as you would expect, you throw a ball at the target and try to dunk the person into the water. It gets old quick and would have been much better if you could put your Mii characters in it and been able to dunk your friends.

**SHOOT FOR THE STARS: You use a gun to shoot out the star in the paper. It has good accuracy and it is actually pretty fun.

**COLLECTION PLATE, RING TOSS, BUCKETS OF FUN, FROG LEAP, LUCKY CUPS, and a few other games are all very similar. You are trying to get a ball (or whatever the object might be) onto a cup/bucket/plate/etc.

Again, there are many more games. Too many to discuss here. It does have room for improvement, however. For one, it takes too much time to load in between games. You get three shots (or whatever the game might be), then you have to wait for it to go through several screens and then go back to the game. A simple "Play Again" right after you finish would be great. It would also be nice to have some different types of games (ones you may not have seen at a carnival or just something different).

They should really try to use the Mii characters instead of having to recreate another character. It's great that they add wearable rewards, but it would have been even better to have your Mii and then add the rewards to it. Also, you do not have much room for advancing in the game. Sure, you can earn tickets, win prizes, and open up a few extras, but additional advancement would have been nice.

Overall, this game is a bit overpriced, but I still recommend it. Especially if you have smaller kids, want to play games with the whole family, have some fun at a party, or have some company over. It's worth a try. You will not like every title on this game, but you will get plenty of playing time on it.

"Four Stars", We really liked this game. It has plenty of variety and kids three and up can play it. I recommend for family fun.

"Cute but overpriced", We enjoyed most of the games. The graphics were good but the games were far from challenging. I would think twice before paying the list price for this game.
