"Bad Colors"
The output is not very good.
I have problems in dark situation. the colors are really bad

"Great camera, one flaw..."
I have owned this camera for over a year now, and I have used it in many conditions: underwater with its underwater case, under low light conditions (interior and exterior), for moving subjects etc... This camera takes GREAT pictures. A professional photographer told me this summer it was his favorite compact camera.

The macro function is really nice but there is one problem with it. I take quite a lot of macrosoof flowers, forgs etc... in which cases I need the flash or the pictures will be blurry. Macro and flash on this camera don't work very well together especially if you are very close to the subject: the lens and the flash in the front of the camera are too close and you will have a black shadow in the lower right corner of the picture (which can be cropped in most cases). I talked to a Canon engineer and he told me that this is a problem with this camera. Again it will only happen in macro mode with flash, when very close to the subject.

Otherwise, as others have mentioned it, the body of the camera is very small and "slippery" so be careful when you use it... I recommend to always use the wrist strap :)

"Very good camera"
I have been using this camera since July and have taken many great pictures. To get full use of the capabilities reading the manual is extremely helpful. The biggest problem I seem to have is eliminating red eye when taking indoor pictures. Other than that I am very satisfied. The size is perfect.

"Not sold yet"
I have to confess I'm not a 'camera' person-- I'm probably like most of you reading this-- just looking for a good camera that takes good pictures. We've had this camera for about a month, and honestly I'm not impressed so far. I had a Nikon before this one that was 4 years old and I accidently broke the LCD. I had been kinda wanting a new camera and now had the opportunity to shop.

I use my camera to take family and friends photos, inside and outside. I did a TON of research- read all the reviews, search several review websites and chose this camera. The pictures are less than stellar so far. Some blurry, grainy, the flash doesn't suffice. I have learned a little about the ISO and have attempted to adjust that to get better pictures, yet still nothing fantastic. I kinda wish I can return this, but at this point I don't think I can. All the product reviews said to look at the PowerShots or CyberShots, I definitely wish I had stayed with the Nikons.

I'll keep you posted, but if you are shopping for christmas, completely stressed out on what to get and a product research nerd like me, skip this one for now...

"Best camera I have ever owned"
I have had this camera for over a year. I have loaned it to friends. It has been tossed around, rained on, frozen, dropped and it still functions perfectly. The pictures are wonderful. Strongly recommend this one!

What our customer's say!

"Perfect", God the item on time as advertised, was in great condition. This small camera follows me everywhere, nice pictures.
The auto focus on face is sometimes a bit annoying but I love this one.

"Canon SD850", I love this camera! Had a SD900 before and this one is so much better!

"Great pictures and easy to use", I purchased this camera a year ago prior to a big vacation and couldn't be happier. I never have any fuzzy pictures thanks to image stabilization. Also, there are plenty of settings for use in different environments such as snow, city lights at night, children running outside, etc. It's simple to use and works with existing photo software on my computer so I didn't even bother learning to use what came with the camera (although that looks simple to use, also). My only complaint is that the screen is difficult to see when outside in bright light, but that's typical of all digital cameras I've used. I also take pictures for the elementary school where I teach and I prefer this to the school's camera.

"Excellent Compact Camera", This was my first digi cam hence i was very careful to choose the best one in the compact cameras. I had read reviews, seen samples and finally got this camera. And it turned out to be exactly as i had expected. This is by far the best SD camera in canon.
Pros : Compact, good lens, good IS, Flash works brilliant in dark places/indoors,good performce in terms of speed of point n shoot, good picture and color, good video shooting, the scenics modes are great, good nightmodes etc
Cons: No battery meter, would have been great if optical zoom was more than 4X
Bottomline is....for a point n shoot camera this camera works wonders much better and crisp clear picture and color than sony point n shoots.

"Great Camera For A Photo Taking Newbie", I brought this camera for my first trip to London this past October. I am not a picture taking person, but I wanted to document my first trip to the United Kingdom. Trust me, I barely knew what I was doing as I didn't do more than skim through the owners manual (a mistake). However, all of my pictures came out wonderfully. I mean they are lead crystal clear. Even blown up on my laptop, they retain their sharpness. I took many shots of London's famous double deck buses while moving to see which ones would be keepers. All shots of the buses are as if they are frozen sharply in place.

I had it set on auto for most of my trip. All of my pictures are out door shots, from early morning to mid evening. My night time shots on Bayswater Street are just as crisp as my daytime shots in Paddington Station and Kensington Park. Well, Paddington Station is inside technically.

All shots came out beyond my minimum satisfaction expectations. I don't get some reviewers complaining about blurry still shots. Maybe reading the manual more deeply would have prevented this issue. Or despite the highest manufacturing standards, some stinkers get through the process. Except for Paddington Station, I didn't take any in door close up people shots. So I really can't comment much on its performance shooting people indoors regarding issues of red eye, poor lighting shots and such.

I saw QVC presenting a Kodak 14 mega pixel digital camera today. They showed how sharp pictures taken with it are against lower mega pixel shots. The Kodak shots at 14 mega pixels didn't appear to be any more sharp than my shots at 8 mega pixels are! Granted, I was looking at the Kodak shots through my non HD TV and some things may have been lost in how sharp the pictures really were. After blowing the pictures up to say poster size, I can imagine my camera's shots losing ground against shots with 6 more mega pixels to spread around.

The only glitch I ran into is for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to get a 4X zoom shot. All I could find on the menu is 3X zoom maximum. One of my main decision points in picking this camera over the Cannon Power Shot 770 (with only 3X zoom) is its 4X zoom feature.

Oh yes. One other aspect of this camera is an issue. It has none, zero, nada internal memory. As I recall, the 770 has 32meg of internal memory. I knew this when I brought it and thought it wasn't much of an issue. When you run out of room on your card and there are sweet shots you can't take unless you sacrifice some existing shots...its an issue! Lesson learned. I just ordered a 4gb professional level memory card.

On the lighter side of what's important, this camera feels substantial, without being heavy. It feels like you have something of quality in your hands instead of a camera brought at a flea market. The rechargeable battery with the James Bond gadget like charger is appreciated over having to buy batteries repeatedly.

Before the Christmas holiday, I'll study the manual more to make better use of everything thats under this fine camera's hood.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great Camera", It's a great Camera and meets all your expectations...I bought it from amazon along with Kingston 2GB memory card and case logic camera case for $260/- and that's a steal....The pictures are great and the operations simple..I would highly recommend it and the pricing on Amazon is simply great...

"wobs", Not happy at all with this camera.
it suffers from condensation collection which causes internal water damage. customer service will not fix or replace it.
They actually told me that I should carry it around in a plastic bag
every time I went from air conditioning to outside.

Since they couldn't fix it, they offered me a refurbished unit for more
$$$ then I can find it here.

"Great Camera", I'm very happy with this camera. It is a little thicker than the canon 1100, so that made it a little more difficult to find an appropriate case. Make sure you slide the camera into the case to make sure that it fits easily.
I cannot find a battery symbol on the display, so I don't know how I'm doing on battery until it turns red. This is probably a good thing to help extend battery life because you will end up using it until it dies, but since you don't know how much is in there, you may want to consider getting an extra battery pack.

The pictures are great and there are a lot of different features!

"I love this camera!", Graduated from the kodak family - and am so glad I did. I originally tried the Nikon, but returned it. I could have purchased the 1100 series, but all the reviews and conversations I had with camera people said this was the better choice. Awesome camera for the money...

"Great camera!", I love this camera! It take great pictures and it's so convenient. I especially like all of the manual options.
