"A Great Beginning to Blu-Ray"
This was my first blu-ray and it certainly started off my new PS3 with a bang! The High Definition quality is outstanding and it really proved to me the power of my HD-TV. As for the Disk as a Blu-ray its awesome.

The movie by itself is groundbreaking for the Batman series. This reboot really saved the falling franchise after Schumacher. The combination of David Goyer and Chris Nolan writing the film really serves the most justice. The story is so original and fresh compared to the previous films. The acting comes at a close second. The all-star cast really pulls through and delivers real mortal lives. Christian Bale is a fantastic Batman and Michael Caine makes an even better Alfred. Our villains are well rounded but I wanted to see more of Scarecrow. I thought the idea was great to have him in this film and I was kinda longing for more. However, the film is a blast and any normal human being should find some enjoyment out of it.

The special features are pretty interesting. The behind the scenes clips are fun, and the In-movie commentary is cool enough. Pretty much has your basic special features.

If you own a Blu-ray player you gotta pick up this flick. No collection will be complete without it.

"Great special effects but?"
Ok I am going to rant a little.I thought the movie was good for an action film, but for a Batman movie ,NO.They always have to change things that are from the the original story,Why.OH I forget,it's artistic license.BULL .Someone said that this makes the joker more real, like batman is real in the first place,he is a fantasy character,no human can do that stuff.they should of left the Joker the way he was.People can still read between the lines and get the hidden meanings. You do not have to make him more human for us to get it.Quit changing it,like making Raz al Ghul as Batmans teacher in Batman begins.
How about making the movie for us not your artistic selves.Become a painter if you want to be artistic.Well at least the cartoons usually stick to the original story line.
I said I just wanted to rant and this gives me a chance to say how I feel about these producers and their artistic talent crap.

"Batman Begins"
I went crazy in the theater watching this movie. Would highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of Batman.

"3 stars out of 4"
The Bottom Line:

The best Batman movie yet made (including The Dark Knight), Batman Begins suffers only from a miscast Katie Holmes and an extremely over-the-top Tom Wilkinson as it portrays Bruce Wayne's transformation into Batman about as realistically as possible; a superhero movie for the modern age.

"Disappointing Audio"
All 4 Warner Brothers blu-ray movies I own that are rated Dolby TruHD only play as Dolby Digital 5.1 on my new Sony S-550 blu ray player and Denon 3808ci AV receiver, both updated with the latest firmware. The movies are "The Ultimate Matrix Collection", "The Dark Knight", "Batman Begins" and "Blade Runner". I have not had this problem with movies from other studios. For example, "Top Gun", "The Godfather", "Ironman", "The Hunt for Red October", "Men in Black", and "Transformers". However, these movies are also disappointing because while they play DolbyTrueHD sound, they are limited to 5.1 channels. However, I must say that despite that, "Transformers" has an awesome TrueHD sound track with unbelievable spatial resolution. The only movies I own which actually play 6.1ch or 7.1ch are "Wall-E", "The Curse of the Black Pearl (POC)", "Total Recall" and "Pan's Labyrinth". All are DTS HD, not Dolby Digital. It's a shame that blu-ray movies are not being made with audio to match the video.

What our customer's say!

"A refreshing version surpassing all the original films", Batman Begins discards the previous four films in the series and recasts the Caped Crusader as a fearsome avenging angel. As the title implies, Batman Begins tells the story anew, when Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) flees Western civilization following the murder of his parents. He is taken in by a mysterious instructor named Ducard (Liam Neeson in another mentor role) and urged to become a ninja in the League of Shadows, but he instead returns to his native Gotham City resolved to end the mob rule that is strangling it.

Batman Begins is a welcome return to the grim and gritty version of the Dark Knight, owing a great debt to the graphic novels that preceded it. It doesn't have the razzle dazzle, or the mass appeal, of Spider-Man 2 (though the Batmobile is cool), and retelling the origin means it starts slowly, like most "first" superhero movies. But it's certainly the best Bat-film since Burton's original, and one of the best superhero movies of its time. Bale cuts a good figure as Batman, intense and dangerous but with some of the lightheartedness Michael Keaton brought to the character. Michael Caine provides much of the film's humor as the family butler, Alfred, and as the love interest, Katie Holmes (Dawson's Creek) is surprisingly believable in her first adult role. Also featuring Gary Oldman as the police officer Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as a Q-like gadgets expert, and Cillian Murphy as the vile Jonathan Crane and Liam Neeson as the villain. Batman Begins is sure refreshing and is entertainment at it's best.

"Serious batman", In this latest batman installment forgot the past because it's dead. Director Chris Nolan takes this genre into a new direction. Christian Bale is spot on as a believable gritty force that literally puts fear into criminals. All other actors' delivery honorable performances expect for Katie Holmes who is flat from start to finish.
No campy one liners and cheesy fight scenes in this blockbuster. The fighting is hard hitting and visceral. The writing is original and full of laughs. This isn't a story where you can guess what is going to happen next. You're taken on a ride and when it stops you'll be begging for more.

Side Note: Isn't a comic book movie but a great action/drama based on a comic book movie. Good flick whether or not fans of the comic book.

"Batman Begins", The product was excellent and the transaction was fast, accurate and flawless. It is a great product with prompt, couteous service.

"Great price on a good movie", I bought this movie for basically the same price it would have cost me to rent it, so I cannot complain. I am not going to offer you a review of the movie, there are better places to find that; I am just going to recommend that, if you like this movie or think you might like this movie at all, it is better to buy it at this price then to rent it for a buck less.

"Top Notch Batman Movie", I haven't seen the Dark Night yet and in order to get what is happening in that movie I decided to watch Batman Begins. I never really wanted to see this movie even though I have been a big Batman fan over the years. However when I finally put the DVD in to watch it I was gripped from the first moment of the movie.

This movie is by far the best Batman I have ever seen. Christian Bale gives an incredible performance. Katie Holmes as usual is so-so but she was better in this movie than most others I have seen here in. This movie is 2 hours and twenty minutes and my interest was kept the entire time. The action shots can get a little rough and Batman's voice is weird but there is nothing else about this movie I would have wanted better. I am so glad I finally watched this movie and hopefully you do too.

"Best movie of the summer!", Fantastic movie and fantastic quality in BluRay.
RIP Heath as this is one of his finest performances, a great take on the Joker. Fantastic effects, great cast, and well put together.

"Batman Begins", I was pleased with the way everything was handled.
I would use this service again.

"Re-inventing Comic Book Movies", This is one amazing film. There is no better fleshed out Hero then Bruce Wayne aka Batman the Dark Knight. Other Superhero films touched one deep feeling of the protagonist and carried that theme throughout the film. Best example is the first Spirder-Man where the main character has to protect his secret identity in order to protect those that he loves. Peter Parker was an interesting, easy to pull off character. But what Christian Bale does for Bruce Wayne easily surpasses even Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark. Bale gives such a performance, so much depth that he gives Bruce Wayne something that has never been seen before in all forms of Batman films, a real motive. We are given the best origin story of Bruce Wayne to really give him a meaningful backbone. He does what he does not for a loved one but because he believes in justice. Sure every Hero fights for that reason, but I have never seen so much devosion to ones work on film as Bruce Wayne's attempt to clean up Gotham.
What really suprises us is the fact that this is the first Batman film that focuses on none other than Batman. This film is given ao much life and so much hope that one might ask "Why doesn't someone devote their life to fight crime?"

"Exactly where Batman should have begun in the first place!!!", Finally Batman is being tributed as it should have been a long time ago. Batman Begins is where it should have really begun in the first place. The production is flawless, the portrayals keep you in disbelieve all thruoghout the movie...

"As dark and rich as a good cup of coffee", I will preface this by saying that I might have glanced at a Batman comic book when I was a kid, but have never read one. I did watch the Michael Keaton Batman movie, but my main Batman experience, prior to this movie, was watching the television series, non-animated, as a kid. In short, I am not an expert, at all. I bought this movie because, when I was in the hospital, it was showing on cable television and, while I did not get to see the entire movie there, I liked what I saw.

When the title says "begins," it means exactly that. This movie portrays Bruce Wayne's privileged but traumatic childhood, his path toward becoming an agent of justice, and his unusual training. It then moves back to Gotham, Bruce's hometown metropolis, that has become extremely crime-ridden, corrupt, and impoverished, with the gains made by Bruce's parents having been just about wiped out. To address this, Bruce Wayne, in his new persona of Batman, must face a powerful crime-lord, and an even-more-powerful, albeit shadowy, figure, plotting to ride the world of Gotham's evils by eliminating Gotham itself.

Batman is known as the Dark Knight, and we clearly get that here. Christian Bale gives us a Bruce Wayne who is glib on the surface, troubled beneath that, and an avenging crusader at his core. The imagery, both real and computer-generated, is awesome and dark, and the musical score enhances the story well, without ever dominating it.

The supporting cast is amazingly good. Michael Caine as Alfred? Perfect! Liam Neeson as Henri Ducard, Bruce Wayne's teacher in the martial arts (and more), was also perfectly cast. Tom Wilkinson was chillingly ruthless as the crime boss. Katie Holmes gives us a Rachel Dawes, potential love interest for Bruce Wayne, who is equal parts silk, steel, and flower. I had not seen Rutger Hauer in anything in a long time, but he was very good as the cold, greedy, power-hungry businessman. Morgan Freeman did his usual excellent job as Lucius Fox, Wayne Enterprises engineer and Bruce Wayne's technical advisor. I also liked Gary Oldman as Inspector Gordon, and Cillian Murphy was coolly insane and cunning as Dr. Crane/Scarecrow.

Of course, Batman had to have some interesting toys. What makes him nearly invincible? Check out the suit. How does he fly? That cape is not just a fashion statement. The big toy, though, is the tank-like Batmobile. Wow! Just get out of its way, and watch!

As you can tell, I like this movie. I did not like having to be in the hospital but, at least, I found a good movie from the experience.
