"Nice overall", This controller is fine for gaming. However, the d-pad is way too sensitive. It chooses items then moves to the next item when you let go. The plug in part is great and the rechargable battery is even better. I like that instead of swapping batteries in a middle of a game when the battery runs out that I could just plug it in and continue on. I think this was a good purchase.

"Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller", I bought this bundle as a video game deal-of-the-day recently. I already had a white wireless controller and play & charge kit and I definitely enjoyed the freedom of wireless controllers. These kits are great because you don't have to keep buying new batteries or swapping rechargeable ones. I just play, and when I'm done I just plug them into my PC USB ports to charge, so I don't have to leave my 360 on. (These charge kits DO NOT WORK as PC controllers -- only for charging. Silly, eh?)

The deal of the day was for $45. An added benefit was that it was the black bundle, so the controller stands out amongst the many white ones that most people have. I have had no problems thus far and am glad I bought this bundle at the discounted price. I probably would not buy it at full price, though.

"Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller Review", Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller

It's great to be able to play while connected to the charge cable and shows no interruption to the connection when I play my games. However, it seems that the energy consumption of the rechargeable battery is rapid and usually after around 15-20 hours of use the battery needs to be recharged again. The design of the charge cord is somewhat faulty because the connection to the top of the controller is very tight and the way to remove it is to yank the cord from the controller. It makes me somewhat frightened that I would damage the controller itself because of all the force needed to remove it. Overall, I enjoy the color and it helps me distinguish my "personal" Halo controller from my other white ones and there is no noticeable difference in quality between the black and white wireless controllers.

"Bundle functions as expected", This device and sub-components works as expected. As I prefer not to waste batteries, this bundle was an excellent choice for my gaming needs.

"good as advertised", I had the 360 with no hdmi and wanted one with it so I bought the elite. Do I see a difference in graphics? Yes, but I also upgraded from a samsung dlp to a pioneer kuro so I'm sure that helped. It is quieter that's for sure and the black is better looking.

"Great Buy", It is a great combo. I have rechargable batteries but I am playing so much that I use this battery pack with the wire which ensures that I always play. I got three other controllers so this is definitely a good buy.

"Great controller combo. Should have been priced less", Got it on a Amazon one day only sale. White controllers smooth plastic finish makes your hands sweat a lot. Black is similar to original xbox controller finish. It is feels much better as your hands wont sweat on long play sessions. Keep a open eye, grab it when it is on sale.

Normally combos are cheaper than individual items. It is hard to understand why MS is charging more for the combo kit. This should be priced at 50$ or less.
