"Astonishing" Well, this upgrade of Marvel Ultimate Alliance is really enjoyable, the graphics and the native resolution on a 50" Plasma Tv makes it an exciting experience. The audio on a kenwood home theater and wireless xbox controls complete the scene.
Making teams of villians and superheroes is cool. I've tried with spidey and venom, wolverine and sabretooth and experience is really cool...
Must have for all Marvel and Comics fans out there!

"This Game Is Awesome....." I bought this game way back in 2007 but i am still playing this. This game got unlimited replayability and I really like the 8 new characters, Including the Hulk. Its really fun when Hulk grabs an enemy use him like baseball bat to K.O. other enemies. Overall I really like this game and I would I highly recommend this game if you were a fan of x-men legends series and like action rpgs.
"Hulk Smash!" This game is great. The extra characters in the gold edition are the main reason I bought this game and not the standard edition. The best edition to the new characters is the Hulk. He's the most powerful character available to choose from and he takes way more punishment than any of the other characters can. Adding him alone makes this game worth it, but with the additions of Venom, Magneto and the others this game gets a thumbs up all around.
"Best Action RPG for the 360" This game has obviously been crafted with the intent of capturing Marvel comic book fans, but do not be fooled, a very solid 4-player Action RPG in the vein of Diablo lies underneath the pretty licensed coat of paint. With tons of skills, unique characters, and a fairly long campaign, this is recommended to any Action RPG fan, especially if you have a few friends that are willing to play along with you.
"GET IT, EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE REG EDITION" The extra 8 characters add a lot to an already stacked lineup of marvel superheroes and to a great story that is fun to play in the various groups of 4 you choose. Its like having spiderman, fantastic four, the hulk, x men games all available at the same time. The RPG elements are enough to make the game fun but not too much where it takes away from the action. Very high replayability as mentioned also because of the numerous teams you can create.

What our customer's say!
"From a True Marvel Fan", Ive read thousands of Marvel Comics (seriously) and I will say this is the best and most comprehensive Marvel game out there. Its scope is truly ambitious and the voice-overs perfect, and the storyline original. The ability to choose costumes ranging from different eras is a total plus. Cant wait for the sequel. So until Reed Richards stops using invisible condoms, make mine marvel!
"Long and Repetitive, but very Fun!", This game is fairly short and moderately challenging, but the co-op mode is terrific and could provide hours of family fun. I guess the graphics could have been better, but whatever. I still recommend it! Enjoy!
"Loads of fun", This game is like any other RPG, except the fact that your favorite Marvel superheroes are the characters. So the Marvel Universe is nicely portrayed and the classic powers each hero (up to 20 to choose from) possesses is in full display.
It's loads of fun. If you enjoy classic RPG games like Elder Scrolls and Final Fantasy AND you love Marvel comic book heroes, then you will absolutely enjoy this game.
"Got bored real quick", Ive played all of the X-Men Legend games and loved those. But for some reason I cannot get into this one. Ive tried playing it about 5 times and get about 20 mins. into it and get so bored I have to turn it off. That and I had a buddy that bought this for PS3 and I even tried playing it with him and we played for about 30 mins. and he said the same thing. I read all the reviews before I bought it and was really pumped up about it and was sadly disapointed. Not enough fighting for my liking. I really dont see what everyone else sees in this game. I really wanted to like this game because im a big Marvel fan. Thankfully I bought this for $10 in the bargain bin. Not worth the time.
"Fun game with great characters", My husband and I play with game with the help of our 4-year-old. We love being able to change the charaters and checking out their special moves. Sometimes the perspective makes it hard to see what was going on. It can also be difficult to keep track of where your character is when you have more than one player playing. The game provides hints and direction along with way, but not too much to make the game too easy. Overall a very enjoyable game.

"Marvel to the Rescue?", I'm not big on comic books. Not even when I was a kid did I enjoy any of the old Marvel superheroes, so this review will be purely on the game itself, rather than any ties I have to the comic book characters in it.
Let me start by saying that I did not get this by choice. It came in a bundle pack that I received with my XBox 360, so I didn't really have high expectations for Ultimate Alliance from the get-go. Anyways here is my review!
Graphics- 7/10. I was very pleasantly surprised when I first put the disc into my XBox to see how terrific the graphics were on the opening cut-scene. It was almost photo-realistic, and that really boosted my enthusiasm to play the game. However, as in all games, the graphics aren't as good in game-play as they are in the cut-scenes, and my enthusiasm was shot right back down when I saw how "average" the in-game graphics really were. A lot of the computers and such used in the game are hideous to look at, and reminded me of the graphics from the game Fighting Force, for the N64. Of course, not everything looked that bad, but it was a disappointment for sure. All of the character wearing dark clothes (Spiderman, Human Torch) looks constantly wet, and all of the characters wearing light clothes (Wolverine, Thor) seem to be way too bright, almost with a light bulb inside of them. This game was released quite a while ago, and for the time, the graphics were good, but that won't help you much if you are looking to buy this now.
Game play- 6/10. As you begin to play, you will think how nice it will be to have more than one character at your disposal at all times. Infact, you can travel with 4 different superheroes at one time, though as you begin to think about the dynamics of game play, you begin to realize how hampered it will be to play as one of the 4, seeing as the camera has to show all 4 characters at once, and that with so many characters, the individuals can't have as polished of combos as you'd like. It can be extremely frustrating to attempt a combo with the camera being so bad. There is just no way to predict how it will end up for you.
Again, the word average comes up, this time in the A.I. Your squad is all right; as the 3 characters that are on the screen that you are not playing will quickly aid you when you begin to attack an enemy. The enemy A.I. can fluctuate, and at times, you can sneak un-noticed through halls where enemies are clearly supposed to attack you.
The missions you have to complete in the game are EXTREMELY boring, and present little to no challenge on easy or medium settings (which is all you get until you beat the game). The enemies usually aren't intelligent enough to chase you beyond a certain point, so you can just lay low for a while, and attack over and over again for very easy kills. Besides this, the game tries to come across as clever with random puzzles it throws in here and there. Give me a break. The puzzles are laughable at the very best.
RPG elements- 8/10. It can be very fun trying out new characters, and there are just so many characters that the RPG elements of the game really stand out. Besides just getting new characters to experiment with, you can add new combos to all the characters, and this can be a blast to just play around with. When your superhero reaches a new level by just kicking as much tail as possible you can assign new points for them at designated access points. Not only can you level up individual players you can level up your team as well. As taken from the game's manual-"When your team defeats enemies, rescues civilizations, and just generally saves the day, it will increase your team's reputation and you will be given special bonuses."
Multiplayer- 9/10. This is where the game really shines. Not only can you play offline with a buddy, you can also play co-op over XBox Live. You and up to four friends can all control one character out of your team. This is just a blast to play with your friends, online and offline. Playing on XBox Live with strangers can be stagnant at best, but still, you can play the entire game through and through with up to 4 people. There is also an Arcade Mode where you and your friends will compete to try and get the most kills and things of that effect.
I can't remember the last time I had this much fun playing a co-op game, if you are the type that has been waiting for a good one to come out you are in luck. This is as good as it gets in terms of a co-op play.
Story- 3/10. I absolutely HATED the story. It truly is the corniest story you will ever play in your entire life. The plot centers around you and your newly formed team of superheroes trying to save the world from Dr. Doom! Oh the suspense! Then again, like I said earlier, I am not much of a comic book person, and that has a lot to do with how much someone will like the story. I usually go much more in-depth in the story with my reviews, but I really can't bring myself to talk about the story in this game. If you aren't a comic book person, and you are over the age of 8, you won't get much, if any, enjoyment out of the story. The voice acting is very corny, the soundtrack is corny, and overall the story just gives you no incentive to want to finish the game.
This game is just not very fun to play alone. The story is god-awful, the game play is lacking, and even though the RPG elements are decent enough, that alone can't carry a game. However, when you and your friends get together, or you and a stranger on XBox Live play together, the game can be a blast. So if you are not a fan of the old Marvel superheroes, do not by this game. If you are, then this might be something to look into further, but based on what I've seen from Ultimate Alliance, I can give it no higher than a 7.0/10.
"Replacing the game for a friend.", The game is exactly what I wanted. My friend had the game and his toddlers destroyed it, so I was just buying him a replacement.
"This is the version to get!", This is a great game to buy. It has a lot of cool comic characters and fun, easy to get into combat. It also has rpg elements but not too many. If you have the luxury of having more than one video game console and are trying to decide which system to buy this game for then this is the game! To my knowledge, the xbox 360 version is the only one with the bonus characters. If you don't have the xbox then obviously you won't want to get a new system (unless you are a hardcore Hulk/Venom etc. fan) but if you do why wouldn't you pick the one with the most bang for your buck?
Playing this game is very fun if a bit easy at times for the more hardcore gamer. Here's a test; if you find Gears of war to be not too difficult (and what a strapping gamer you must be) you might find this game to be a joke. You will definitely want to unlock hard as soon as you can. Maybe try not upgrading all your guys outfits. Right now I am playing with Venom, Hulk and Sabretooth and a fourth guy who I swap out from among my roster of heroes. Right now I am crushing people with very little resistance. The only time I got a challenge was when I had to sub out Venom and Hulk(I think they fell off a cliff or something) and I brought in two scrubs to face Blackheart. I actually had a hard time beating him and one of my underdeveloped underleveled guys got beat down. Gasp, a boss fight that was difficult! Anyway, long story short this is a pretty easy game. The one exception was the bonus comic missions. They were hard but only because they often require you to play with heroes that you aren't as familiar with and haven't developed. Mr. Fantastic got beat down so many times it wasn't even funny. Actually, it was a little funny.
I summation this is a fun game that I enjoyed playing through several times. As hinted above I liked playing Venom and the Hulk(the absence of the hulk in the first version of the game was my only gripe with it) but I liked a lot of the other heroes as well. If you were or are a Marvel comic fan then you should be able to find a favorite here. A sheer delight for fans of the classic comics.
"Excellent ", This is a hard game to find and I got very quick brand new sealed in the package. I can't wait to deal with him more. A+++
"Very fun multy player game", I played as deadpool, my only regret was that he didn't have more dialogue than he did. But what he did say was funny.
