You are retarded. The picture and sound quality is at least 5 to 10x better than the regular dvds. If you did watch this on bluray and couldnt tell the difference then you might need to take a trip to the eye doctor or get better equipment. Getting an upscale dvd player does not make the regular dvds look like bluray. NOT ANYWHERE NEAR THE SAMETHING!
You get 35 hours of bonus features and four movies. Buy this if you are a fan of the matrix and want to see it like never before; crisp, clear vibrant colors and great sound.

Extremely disappointed! I'm a big fan of the trilogy, but this so called Blu-ray version is nothing more than a regular DVD. There were moments when the movie had qualities of a Blu-ray, but would return back to the disappointment that it originally was.

I put in another Blu-ray movie to see to see the difference in picture quality, and boy was their a difference. Try playing the Bee Movie right after you just watched the first couple of scenes of the Matrix, and you'll see the disparity of the two films. Seriously save your money, this is just another scheme to rip off the average household of its hard earned money. Another gimmick by Corporate America to make more money, and keep their stock holders happy, not worth a penny.

If your intent on buying the film contact me and I'll gladly sell it off to you on ebay. Terrible.....just terrible.

"Awesome Collection!"
Out of all the other Blu-Ray movies i own, this is by far the best collection that anybody has to own. The picture, sound, pretty much everything about The Matrix Collection is perfect. I would highly recommend anyone into buying this on Blu-Ray.

If you have a blue ray player then there is no movie you can get to better showcase the superiority of blu ray than especially the first installment of this movie trio. The special effects in all of them will show people why they too should buy a blu ray player but the first movie is of course the best of the three.

"First movie gains nothing from Blu-ray", I was very disappointed in the quality of the first film, because I really didn't see any difference in quality from the DVD version. However the other films in the set do benefit greatly from the increased resolution. They are stunning. The first film -- not so much.

"Good content, poorly implemented", I have the Samsung BD-P2550 with current firmware.

First off, having no menu before the movies is ok, but disconcerting. Problem is that the disc defaults to Dolby DTS no matter what. They have True-HD tracks as well, but selecting it is totally NOT user friendly. On my Samsung, for the first movie, I had to press the "Audio" button on the remote. When I did, a small selection menu appeared at the top of the screen where I could select language and coding tracks. BUT, on Animatrix, the "Audio" button would bring up that top menu and I was not allowed to change the track! I had to press the "Popup Menu" button, which showed a small menu at the bottom of the screen. The only selection that made any sense was "Languages". When I explored that, I found I could select the different tracks. So how friggin stooopid is this? Imagine if my parents, or even just an average Joe had to figure this out? How great would it be to have the designers subject to interesting punishments based on how easily (or not) an average user could view the movie at optimal settings? :)

So this alone makes me annoyed enough to give it 4 stars rather than 5.

"Great Movie, Shipping is Terrible", I purchased this box set on Dec. 29th, with the priority 3-5 day shipping. I find out that this movie isn't shipping til Jan 2 and will not be delivered until Jan 9th!!! I paid the xtra money to get it shipped priority, and i get reduced to UPS's media mail service!! If i knew it was gonna be shipped that way, i would have used the Free Shipping option!! I for one will be requesting a refund of my money paid for shipping, as i am not getting the service i paid for! I should be getting on jan 3rd or 4th at the latest, not a freaking week later! That is just BS!

"Matrix + Blu-ray = AWESOME", This is the best quality audio and video copy of Matrix series you can get. A nice bonus is digital copy of the first movie. Watching the series right now, and enjoying every minute. Just have to find time to watch all the 35 hours of extras. Highly recommend this set, especially at Amazon's price.

"Great Gift for Sci-Fi guy", This was a great gift idea for my husband who loves the who Matrix movies. He has really enjoyed and was thrilled to get this as a gift. I am sure that he will enjoy hours of watching all the DVD's that this comes with.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"The Ultimate Matrix Collection [Blu-ray]", All the matrix movies and animation are together. I like the compact cases for the individual blu-ray disks, but don't like the outer box, which is weak and already broken.

"Disappointing Audio", All 4 Warner Brothers blu-ray movies I own that are rated Dolby TruHD only play as Dolby Digital 5.1 on my new Sony S-550 blu ray player and Denon 3808ci AV receiver, both updated with the latest firmware. The movies are "The Ultimate Matrix Collection", "The Dark Knight", "Batman Begins" and "Blade Runner". I have not had this problem with movies from other studios. For example, "Top Gun", "The Godfather", "Ironman", "The Hunt for Red October", "Men in Black", and "Transformers". However, these movies are also disappointing because while they play DolbyTrueHD sound, they are limited to 5.1 channels. However, I must say that despite that, "Transformers" has an awesome TrueHD sound track with unbelievable spatial resolution. The only movies I own which actually play 6.1ch or 7.1ch are "Wall-E", "The Curse of the Black Pearl (POC)", "Total Recall" and "Pan's Labyrinth". All are DTS HD, not Dolby Digital. It's a shame that blu-ray movies are not being made with audio to match the video.



"Above-average", The collection is quite complete, however, the first of the series is still the best movie.

"horrible", i never received the movie the seller does not respond to my email he ripped me off the worst experience i had shopping online am very upset.

"Very Nice", I had never seen the entire "Matrix" collection before but have to say it's really mesmerizing to watch, especially in Blu-Ray. An excellent value for the price at Amazon.
