Others say...
"Breathes new life into this classic board game" The latest iteration of the classic board game Life breathes new life into this classic and fixes some of the frustrating features of the older version. By reconfiguring the board into four cloverleafs that focus on particular areas of life, the game makers have opened up more possible strategies and options than were feasible on the linear, classic path around the playing board. The career and life cards are easier to read, updated, and varied, allowing for different players to embark on widely diverse schemes to make their mark.
Because the thick stack of life cards offers myriad options, and a player picks one depending on what section of the board he or she is currently located on, its unlikely the game will go stale for some time.
Having all the information maintained and controlled by the scoring module speeds up play, simplifies scorekeeping, and helps players monitor their earnings and life points. Plus younger players will not be asking the older ones to help add up their scores at the end of the game.
Eliminating the little people and tinier babies that one had to stick into cars is especially helpful for those of us with large hands and big fingers, though are still some rather small skateboards and car bodies to manipulate and lose in the carpet.
"Great Game!" This is a very fun and entertaining game. It is a different game every time we play. The only downside to this game is that you can only have 4 players. It would have been nice if Milton Bradley had made this a 6 or 8 player game. Maybe they will come out with a new edition that allows more players.
"Really love this game!" I got this game yesterday. I had always enjoyed playing the older version when I was a kid. This one is much more fun because the computer does all the score keeping and there is no paper money and itty bitty "People" pegs that get lost etc. You just put your card in the machine and it does all the calculations and when the game is over it tallies the score and lets you know who won!
Also you can determine how many "years" or turns everyone gets when you start. SO, if you want a quick game you just put in a couple of years and off you go. If you want to play all day you can put in 99 years and be sure the schedule some restroom breaks. LOL... as long as you don't turn off the computer it picks up where you leave off if you need to take a break.
There are very few things you need to keep track of so it doesn't take as long as the old version did. It teaches credit and smart buying habits if you take the time to discuss the implications of the choices that come along the route.
Well worth the money and I think that anyone who enjoys board games would love to play this one. Best part for me is the lack of so many parts and the need for a banker and shuffeling all that goofey paper money around.
Try it you'll like it!!!
"Life's Best Idea Ever" Life has done it again! Life Twists and Turns uses the technoligy of this century! There is no money. You slide your credit card in and it remebers your money, lifepoints, kids, cars, and your house! It is worth what you pay for it. It teaches kids about money life. I have always loved life and now that there is no money I love it even more!
"Fun game for the whole family" I used to love the original Game of Life when I was younger. I had bought the updated version for my family, but it was very hard keeping track of the money in the new version with higher values and life points.
This new game is more interesting because you can choose your own path and cards take the place of pre-printed spaces on the board so each game is different. The electronic money-tracking makes the game go so much faster. You can also choose how many turns you want each player to get so you can control the length of the game.
Fun for adults, teens, and pre-teens.

What our customer's say!
"twist and turns game of life", Excellent product that arrived in excellent condition. We received product sooner than we thought which was wonderful. We are very happy with this game and our family is enjoying the many nights we are playing it.
"Love it!", This is a great family game. Fun to play. Let's you decide the length of the game. New Twist to an old game. Kids love it!
"This item is spectacular!", I love this game! It's full of surprises, creativity, and LIFE! This product shipped in less than 3 days and it was free shipping! What an awesome deal. Everything came as described and there was no defect. The knowledge of the Life-Pod (included) is amazing. Does all the calculations and best of all, you don't need to roll any dice! It's like managing your actual life without losing anything!
"Fun but Does Seem to Promote American Consumer Culture", Firstly, I would say that the age rating (9+) is appropriate for this game. We have played it several times and found it enjoyable each time.
How the game is played:
The lifepod and Visa DEBIT cards are a real addition to the game. I highlight the word debit because some people seem to be voicing their concerns that this game is Visa's way of getting children hooked on credit cards at a young age. I do not have a credit card, but I do have a debit card for several reasons, primarily because the world is becoming more electronic and sometimes you need a debit card (for example, ordering something off Amazon.) Another thing that may remove some worries is that there is a penalty for being in debt in the game. Every time you spin and you are in debt you get 10% of your total amount taken away. (In a way this discourages debt because you can easily lose the game this way.)
How the Game is Played:
One of the most fun features of this game is that all players do not have to take the same "Life path." There are 4 paths you can choose to start on (although you can move between all 4 throughout the game) learn it, earn it, live it, and love it.
The lifepod records everything (except for you occupation although it does keep your salary) and you have a "scorecard" which really functions only to have something to clip your "Occupation" card to.
We love the lifepod as it makes the game fun, less messy, and interesting. Each turn you put your visa debit card into the lifepod and press spin.
The goal of the game is to get the most life points. (Money, assets, children, homes, etc... are turned into lifepoints at the end of the game.)
Learn it is the area of the bored where you can get a degree and (if you desire) a PhD. Only about half of the careers actually require degrees.
Earn it is the area of the board where you have the opportunity to make money, buy cars and houses, and get promotions.
Love it is the area of the board focused on getting married and having children (and also buying cars and houses). (As a note you can ony have children if you are married even in adoptions).
Live it is focused primarily on adventure and earning life points.
Each turn you spin, collect your life points and then move your skateboard/car/sports car (whatever you have at the time) to the next space. On all 4 areas of the bored you have several crossroads you can choose to go down.
Even if you do not land on anything you still get to choose a LIFE card. Each LIFE card has 4 options (one for each area of the bored) and you follow what is said on your area.) (Example: Earn It: You find a wallet and return it to its owner. Collect a reward. +500 LIFE +$1000 Learn It: Fail your class in auto repair when you forget to put oil back in the car. -$10,000 Live It: You party with your favorite celebrity. +800 LIFE Love It: You didn't see your cousin's car in the driveway and you ran into it when you backed out of the garage. -300 LIFE -$10,000.
The cards are pretty randomized although after a few turns the same things do start to reappear.
The way to win is by having the most LIFE points in the end. You choose the number of years you would like to play (I would recommend 10-20 or it gets boring) in the beginning. After the last spin you put your Visa debit cards back into the LifePod and it adds up all your life points.
Pros: *Compared to the original Life game I have found this to be much more fun and more realistic. Not everyone chooses to get married and some people have 10 children but don't focus on careers... etc... It's more personal choices rather than just luck in this game *The LifePod is brilliant (takes AA batteries, I use rechargeable ones for all my games.) It makes the game fun and easy to add everything up and keep score of everything *This game seems to allure more interest from a more diverse group of players than the original board game *2-4 Players, this is also a con, but as a pro it's fun to have some games that just 2 people can play, sometimes you don't always have a huge group
Cons: *The biggest con I have found is with the careers. If you spend several turns focusing on earning a degree it should be more valuable than the "supermodel" who by chance (with no degree) wins the game by 5X the LIFE points. College degrees (and especially Phds should be like houses and add LIFE points every spin. *Another con is not so much with the game as it is the idea of the game as well. It seems that American consumerism is extremely positive in this game. You can own up to 3 cars and 3 houses at the same time. Many of the cards say things such as "purchase a boat, +1000 LIFE points" while cards that read "Help your grandmother with her garden" only earn +100 points. The game seems to say that real life should be all about earning money, spending money, and all they toys you can accumulate on the way. Unfortunately in real life these things often leave people empty and lonely. While I don't see this being a big enough problem to keep me from playing the game, I am disappointed to see so much value put on material things and career advancement vs. relationships and education, especially in a family board game that would probably be purchased by families or friends trying to emphasize the value of relationships. *2-4 players, while a pro this is also a con, I think this game would be better suited to have 2-6 players. While I can see playing on teams it could be frustrating (especially with middle school kids) if one wants to love it and the other earn it. :) *It would also be nice if there was about double the LIFE cards as this game comes with. After a few plays the same LIFE scenarios come up again and can be a little repetitive.
Overall I would give this game a 4 star rating. Lots of fun, especially if you like the original LIFE, not too hard to understand, and entertaining for a pretty vast range of ages. Plus you can't complain when a board game can be played with as few as 2.
"What Fun!", My daughters and I love to play the original game of Life, so when I saw this one I couldn't wait to try it. My 8 and 6 year old love it and learned quickly how to use the controller thing. Even my three year old likes to try to play with us and if he leaves the game it doesn't mess it up for everyone. We have had a ton of fun playing this all summer!

"a fun family game!", this product is a fun family game for parents and their children! So have some fun!!!
"LOVE this game!", Life has always been my favorite board game and I was so excited when I found this was coming out in a new updated version. Like others said the first time you play it's a little confusing but I think it's that way with anything new so you shouldn't hold it against the game. I recommend the game to everyone. Just bought Monopoly Electronic banking today so I can't wait to try that out!
"Fun for all ages", Santa delivered this for Christmas and we have enjoyed playing it with family and friends. You can decide how long the game will last by the amount of years/turns you play. But, be careful with the electronic game keeper. We were on turn #19 out of 25 and the electronic device was accidently dropped. We lost the whole game. It turned off. Too bad. Perhaps the company could encase it with a material that has better grip. I'll send that suggestion to the company. Good Luck in LIFE!
"New Life", My daughter asked for this for her 11th birthday. She loves it! It's lots of fun, plenty of action. It does take a time or two to get all the rules down but the "cheat" cards help alot. Great fun for everyone!
"Fun for the Whole Family!", This game is great fun for the whole family. A more up-to-date version than the original, it shows kids how purchasing homes and cars, and how marriage and kids can change your finances!
