"Was good, now bad", I was happy with this camera and creative products in general until I tried to install it on a vista machine. That's when I found that creative does not support it's products. I would never buy another creative product again.

"webcam", This is a good cam as far as images, ease of use, and easily installed on computer. However it is not secure to position atop a screen of a laptop as it was advertised. It has to be repositioned because it slides and will not stay in "placed position". I did purchase a USB extension and placed the cam on a nearby flat surface, which addressed the problem and now it serves my purpose for chatting, or other purposes. It works beautifully on my desktop, without the problem of positioning. But for laptop, it is an issue that needs to be realized before purchasing.

"Web Cam", At first it we did not know how to set it up but one it was done it correctly it works great.

"Not the best", I bought this webcam and well i liked it but only on the daylight with my windows opened all the way sometimes i had my light on and you werent able to see clearly picture quality isnt the best and if you have a regular monitor not a flat one it will keep on falling down from the top also the two claws from the front fell off. it is real sensitive and not worth it i would recommend it to a kid probably. Go and buy a better webcam than this.

"Bad picture", I purchased the Creative Webcam Instant w/Free Headset as a special Thanksgiving sale from amazon. The headset is easy to use and the audio quality is very good. However, the webcam is crappy and gives very blurry pictures. I also own a Logitech webcam for work and it is surprising to note that there is a mismatch between the software compatibility of the two webcams. Apparently, I cannot use them simultaneously. As a result, I use only the Creative headset for voice chats and have stopped using its webcam.
If you are planning to get a webcam for personal use, better try a Logitech: the price is similar, but the picture quality is far superior!

"the webcam is poor picture quality", i got this webcam for free after rebate. however, i never used the webcam again after i first opened this poor picture webcam. buy other webcam and don't waste your time and money on this.

"Amazingly Average", The product though cheap is one of those where you get what you pay for. The video quality is not great by anyones imagination. In terms of staying on a flatscreen moniter or laptop it works only as long as the device is very still(aka, no laptop on the lap), Also very hard to adjust becuase once you start moving it, it will fall off or slip. The free headset works fine, and it is plug and play with AIM messenger. So that was very easy, and it does do the job. HOWEVER SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS VISTA....I was dissapointed this was not stated cleary.

"Eh", Even though it is cheap, the product seems to be cheaper. I couldn't get majority of the features it came with to even work. The camera works when it decides its ready. I wasn't sure if I should buy this camera and I looked at all the reviews I could find to try and help me. And I'd have to say its definitely not worth the buy, I would prefer to have spent more money and gotten a different hopefully better product. If your really strapped for cash I'd say sure ok buy it. But if your not go ahead and spend the extra cash for something that will last.

"Creative Webcam Instant", It is a good product. But suppliers must indicate that problems can be faced with Vista. However, after some initial difficulties of using this web cam with my Vista, I could manage to download correct drivers and use the item. Until the resolution of this issue, this deal was one of my worst deal. But after getting over initial hitches, I am finding this product as an ideal deal and value for money. The headset supplied with the cam is an ideal add on and that too at no extra cost. Suppliers should give clear indication regarding dependencies on Operating System of the target machine.


"good cam", bought this cam as a gift for a friend of mine..is a good price..and really has a good picture to it..he had no problems setting it up..installing the sofware was easy..and works great on yahoo..i have a creative also so i knew the quality..and is great quality for what you pay for it..good deal and yess would buy another one if my own died
