"Spiderham"
Dr. Connors is Peter's father?!! Suspense, action, gangs, heart. This game has it all.
Pros: amazing webswinging action, cool graphics, realistic depiction of NYC, very good game play.
Cons: not multiplayer, sometimes difficult to complete assignments b/c jumpy fighting motion & figgity camera angles, tedious map & assignment retrieval.
This is a great game, providing hrs of entertainment. Highly recommended.

"Spiderman 3"
This is not a game for those who just want to web around the city aimlesslessly for fun. I was surprised at how complicated and frustrating this game was. If you have a lot of time on your hands, you might enjoy this game. There are several scenes that take at least 30-40 minutes to complete, mostly boss fights. On a lighter note, the designers did a great job of bringing reality to the game in their graphics and giving you a bird's eye view of New York City like you've never seen it before. Even the recent rebuilding at Ground Zero is depicted - it is also the location used to fight Venom at the end.

"Not Bad"
I got this game only a while ago and after playing for a while, I see the other reviews can be a bit harsh. The movements and swinging feel very natural and city is amazing. It is roughly 3 times larger than the 2nd and there is a lot to be seen. Adventure is great, you have several details including all the bridges, the subway with grand central, both parks at either end, Harry Osborn's house with the lair, and more to find.
Fighting has been really been improved from the 2nd. He has many combos that are simple and really look well. The boss missions can get a bit boring or hard but they are beatable. The random button pushing I will not go against. It makes certain scenes like stopping a runnaway train or destroying mechanical arms look a lot more cinematic and it gives Spider-Man a chance to show off a lot of what is shows he can do in the movies, tv shows, comics, etc.
Now for the bad.
The camera can be horrible at moments and cost you life, which in this game is important. The Spider-Reflexes (not the black-and-white-screened Spider-Sense) is not as easy to use and enemies will break the dodge easily.
Sometimes missions can get boring and if you look forward to the black suit, you will have to wait a while. Also, there are some minor glitches but they will rarely affect you and they can seem funny at times.
Other than that, you will find some fun in this game. Enjoy!

"Spidey is back!"
Spider-man 3 the video game is a really fun game. You can unlock combos, costumes, and missions for the Daily Bugle. Spider-man 3 could have been a lot better but they made it too much like Spider-man 2. There are a few new things like going into sewers and subways, new villians to face, and becoming more powerful while wearing the symbiote suit. If you have played Spider-man 2 you will still like this game but it's not as fun. If you have never played Spider-man 2 you will love this game and get addicted to it. 4 stars out of 5 stars!!!

"A fun game..,but not the best spiderman I have played."
This game is advertised as being absolutely huge. There are sewers and subways and of course the huge city underground. There are 42 missions, most of which are very fun. There are races, they are pretty boring, hard, and monotonous. There bomb runs where you play mini games to defuse bombs, and combat tours killing so many baddies. Bomb tours are my favorite.

It still feels like they don't take advantage of the huge enviroment they created. The fighting and camera work is so so. If you only get to play one spiderman game-make sure it isn't this one, go for Ultimate Spiderman where you can actually play Venom, but this is a close second.

What our customer's say!

"Spider-Man 3: The Game", The Spider-man franchise has been the highest selling of its kind in both the film and video game industries and now that legacy continues with Spider-Man 3 The Game. Which is of course based on the film. The Spider-man games started with spider-man the official game of the movie. which did well in sales and reviews, followed by spider-man 2 which did even better and now spider-man 3 hits stores and has mixed reactions at best. Reviewed as Medicore by cridics and OK by players, the franchise hit a obstacle with both the spider-man 3 game (averaged 5/10) and the movie that sold well but the cridics bashed at every turn. The success of the movies however only hightened the expectations for the game and many were unsatisfied with the game because of those expectations, but for any real fan, its a game worth trying. Theirs nothing funner than betting up Venom with your fists and feet as well as with construction material (hehe). So the game is a must have in my opinion and has an excellent tie in with the movie. You battle Venom Sandman and New Goblin (at first) and classic villains such as Rhino and Scorpion. The game features the most wide-open playground i have seen yet. Travel Central Park or swing your way to Manhattan Island in the entirety of New York City, stopping on the way to stop gangs from overwhelming the police and taking back the city one step at a time. My favorite part of the game is the Fights with the main Villains were the developers intergrated on touch actions that give you amazing footage of spidey's awesome moves. So if you liked the first two spider-man games you will most likely enjoy Spider-man 3. And to those new to the Franchise, this is the game to sequay into. Oh yeah and spidey gets mauled by street thugs. What!

"Good if you haven't played Spidey 2.", First off, if you have played the game Spiderman 2, then you should just really look at this as an expansion pack. It doesn't really do anything that Spiderman 2 didn't. Your in a very similiar enviornment as you were in the second, but in it's time Spiderman 2 was much better. I beat Spiderman 2 twice I believe. I'm a third of the way through the game and am not sure whether or not I will ever finish it. I had started back on it not long ago, but I got frustrated and put back on the shelf. If you played Spiderman 2 and moderately enjoyed it, then this isn't for you. If like me you loved Spidey 2 then I would check this out.

Overall 5.5-6.0

"The Difinitive Spiderman Experience!", I've played every 3D spiderman game since PS2 and this outshines all of them in every aspect. the slow motion ability alone puts this one ahead of the others, but there's so much more that contributes to its greatness.

you never really know what's going to happen next. from the random crimes ranging from retrieving a stolen purse, to tracking down and stopping an armored car thats been jacked. the missions are just as various, full of classic Spiderman characters. you can also do photography missions for the Daily Bugel.

outside of the movie's storyline are 9 different series of missions, and side races and crime activities you can start any time you're not in a mission. its this variety and randomness that boost the entertainment department through the roof for fans of superhero games.

the graphics, while not the best on the system, are impressive given the size of the world around you (vertically and horizontally) and the fact that there's no load times between areas. the city is huge. spiderman himself looks fantastic, but normal human character models lack detail and are a little blocky in some cases.

the controls/gameplay at their core are similar to Spiderman 2, but enhanced to near perfection. its the first game in a long time that actually had me wanting to learn and memorize all the combos and abilities. the slow motion effect was a genius addition. spidermans speed is his greatest attribute in combat, and for the first time in a game, it gets some attention. boss battles(although still frustrating at times) are much more manageable thanks to your extreme speed.

never before has a game made you feel so much like the hero you emulate. an amazing achievement in its subgenre.

**to anyone interested in the New Goblin download pack, be warned you cant get off the board, and his attacks are pretty limited. he has no missions outside of races. you can solve random crimes though. the exploration options (and flight speed) added through him are worth it though. you can fly so high above the city. amazing is the only word for the view from up there.

"Worst spiderman game", The only things i liked was the free roam, but the missions are sometimes fun but theres a lot of puzzle like things in missions which are really annoying. Some of the missions are difficult and the thing i really don't like is theres no cheats to help get through tough spots

"Best in the series, and on the other systems", Honestly, when the game first came out I had to get it for my wii. I hated it. It wasn't anything like I had heard it was going to be. So I did the next best thing. I got it for the PC. It was great at first, although REALLY slow because I was below the requirements. When I got some extra ram to boost up the PC, that helped it alot. The catche: my cpu speed wasn't up to par so it was STILL a little slower than anyone would like. I know its beside the point but, if you're thinking about getting it for the pc, unless your computer is like SUPERMAN'S it won't exactly run as great as you'd think.

Anyway, Christmas came and I finally got an Xbox 360 and since I heard you could play as new goblin on the 360, I went out and got it. I must say I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the results.

Getting it for the 360 was the best thing ever. It actually ran fast and it wasn't so danged short like the wii's. The "cinteractives" were abundant and the combat was alot deeper than the wii's (although the swinging not nearly as interactive). Ok now for good and bad.

Good: The 360 and PS3's version of Spider-man 3 is clearly the best out of them all. The graphics are AMAZING at times. I'll actually just look at the detail in spidey when he's inside a building (thats when he looks his best)and practically, well marvel, at all the lighting effects.

Combat is good, but differs in opinion (I'll explain later). The new way of dodging attacks in the game is a lot different than what it was in SM2. You actually use the slow down button to dodge, which really makes it easier sometimes when your in certain situations. The one button to attack with feature of spidey 2 GONE. Now you get a power attack and a quick attack to give your moves a little more variety. The acrobatics that the normal spidey does are just too cool. Also, I just thought I'd add I didn't really experience any difficulties with the camera. It all seemed to be fine with mine. I also found that there's an option to turn off the camera shakyness if you do have the problem, so its good with that.

Ok, web swinging may not be as good on the 360 over the wii's controllers, but its STILL the fun webswinging that we all know and love. Overall its pretty solid on the controls giving you that feeling of speed we all like.

The black suit is probably the real reason to get the game. He is SWEET. He can do the craziest combo's when he's fired up in rage mode, and his super attacks are almost too powerful. He also looks cooler than the regular suit. I don't know why but he just does.

IF you have xbox live, then the New Goblin is a cheap thing to buy that is totally worth it. Although the controls are funky, you can basically fly like a bird on his sky stick, kickin some butt everywhere you go. Plus it doesn't take 4 seconds to download him, and when you do you it's exactly like the PS3's special addition where you have to fight and beat New goblin on the story. So really its just like gettin the PS3's stuff, which I am SO glad they didn't make it PS3 exclusive.

Bad: Even though the graphics are really good on some area's, when you're out in the streets of new york, unless you're in time's square at night, spidey doesn't really look that great. He's got SOME detail but not enough to make me go wow like I do when he's in buildings or some other dark area. Also, EVERYONE except spidey looks absolutely HORRIBLE. Not one person looks anywhere near as good as spidey does, with only maybe a few exceptions.

Combat may be better than the wii's but it can be really iffy at certain points in the game. Really, if you wanted to, you could go through the entire game using only the basic combo's. It might take longer, but you could do it. Also, if you pressed the attack button and then press jump, spidey will vault off the guys shoulders and end up in the air. Basically this means that if you're in trouble, you can keep doing this combo until there weren't any enemies left. It feels really cheap so I never did it, but the apocolypse gang boss was SO stupid, that I actually had to do that combo and I beat him my first try doing that (idk how many times I had to do that stupid level before I figured out that was the only way to do it). I didn't have to do it again, but its really the only way to beat that level.

The web swinging isn't really that bad. If I said bad things about it I'd be nit picking it to death. Maybe the camera is shaky? I don't think so, but it's pretty solid either way. The only thing that comes to mind is that its really nothing new. It may be alot simpler than SM2's but it doesn't give that same feeling that SM2 gave when I first played it.

Ok, the black suit is the reason this game has playability this time around. I mean honestly if he were gone, what would be new?? They did a great job with him too. Too good in fact. After you beat the game, they let you play as black suit and go through the story playing as him (sorry if I spoiled it but its pretty obvious anyway). When you go through the game you realize just how good he really is. His combos are WAY stronger, faster, and brutal than the regular suit's. He is just PURE power. Rage mode gives him even more power. If you played through the entire game as the regular suit, you couldn't do it. I just wish they could have made that an option, and made the Regular suit a little more up to par to the black suit. I mean I know it's supposed to be stronger than the Original, but come on, couldn't we make it alittle more interesting?? How else could he beat Venom unless he had SOMETHING that made him better (besides brains)??

Ok, even though the New goblin is also cool, and its something else to come back to if there are newer spiderman games, he has some downsides. First off, he doesn't have his own story. All he can do is petty missions that happen, and he can NOT get off his glider for the life of him. All he can really do is races, and that gets old fairly quick. Even though its a blast to glide as high as you can go, I'd still play Superman Returns because he has some enemies to beat up that were more challenging (although thats in its own repetitive). Plus you still have to get points to get him which for some people, isn't possible (sorry guys).

Overall, I think this game had some good and bad that kinda leveled out after a while. Even though it can be frusterating at times, it really is the best out of all of them in the series. My advice, since it is down in price alot, go get it, but only if you're a fair to extreme spidey fan. Otherwise you might not like it as much.

"games way under rated", spiderman 3 is a lot better then the 2nd one which was over rated in my opionion. Mainly because the villans the used in it were better, other than sandman.(not a fan of him), but venom rocks. I would have given it 5 stars but the game can get whacked out every once in a while

"I put the GRRRRR in Swingerrrrr", Ok people... Let's be honest. The rule of thumb is - Movie related games stink, big time. You know it's true, they know it's true, even the Amish know it's true.

But, here comes Spiderman, swinging in all his glory in a beautifully rendered city. Graceful moves, tight spaces to try to swing through, climbing walls like a spider, swinging from lamp posts.... and that's only the beginning. There's crime to stop. Not just mission based crimes which push forward the adventure story, but crime everywhere you swing. Throw in tons of side/goal missions (combat, bombs, races)- there's so much content you'll be playing for a while.

I'm not ashamed to admit I remember walking into a pizza hut and seeing the first pong game ever... but OMG, how far we've come where a white square represents a ball to being able to count the bricks of tenament slum while swinging past it doing a summersault at 200 mph on a spider's web.

The game is gorgeous, fast pace, fun, entertaining, and challenging and, as a comic-book fanboy for life, a hoot to play. It can be casual as well as gripping. I love it so much, I immediatly ordered 1 and 2.

"very fun ", Spiderman 3 the game was something I had to have after seeing the movie in theaters. It is very fun but when you are fighting enemies it's just alot of button pushing. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are pretty decent, and it's a great game for a kid that's a huge spidey fan, but I would rather spend 60 bucks on forza 2.

"NOT A FULL REVIEW", WOW Spidey. U sure have taken a turn for the worst. I followed the development of this game. All i heard were empty promises. Supposedly this game was to be so much different from spiderman 2, built totally from the ground up. New Awesome combat system. Larger more robust city. Deeper side quests. PFFF. THis game is SPIDERMAN 2 with a worse camera and a horrid combat system.
WOW, Bosses havent been this cheap since MAXIMUM CARNAGE. And I'm only 45 min into the game. OK, so I'm supposed to stop a gang called Apocalypse from blowing up an electric grid. I get the bomb toss it into the ocean and guess what i have to fight a boss but he isnt alone. he has 5 other guys with him. they go down like you would expect and i still have all of my health. Pretty good odds of me taking this guy out right? WRONG. Not only is his health bar twice the size of mine. I have to make use of this horrid new reversal system thats been thrown into this game. Basically as ur fighting an enemy a yellow fist appears above his head. Which is supposed to prompt you to hold down the left bumper to slow time down. When time slows you are supposed to tap X when it appears on the screen. Easy enough right. Wrong again. Since X is the main attack button. I am halfway through a combo when the yellow symbol appears over the enemy. So when the X is supposed to appear im not able to press it because im in the middle of my combo. So i am forced to cheap my way into beating this guy and his goons by sitting ontop of a roof and pulling them up with my web one by one. Now does this sound like a fun and innovative new combat system?
THE missions are set up so bad its laughable. Ok I start the lizard mission. Rumors of the lizard in some park in the city are going around. THe boss wants pictures. SO instead of going to the park. Spiderman decides to go right outside of the office and take a pic of a guy in a lizard suit. No where near the Park in question. So i go back to the boss with the pic and he tells me hes no fool and sends me on my way to the PARK. Useless time wasting mission right? Ok so i get to the park and i am supposed to find a lizard. Thats all the mission objectives say. SO i click the right stick to bring up my Spidey sense and Voila the lizard is in an alley and i can even see his footprints thanks to the power of spidey sense. SO i go in balls to the wall ready to lay the smack down on this chump only to hear Petey say " OH no i got too close." Dun Dun DUNNNNNNN. "Mission failed" pops up on the screen as the lizard jumps into the sewer. WHAT?! are u kidding me. if u wanted me to sneak up on the guy please let me know in advanced. THis game is poorly poorly poorly put together.
OH boy dont get me started on the CAMERA. Just let me say there isn't a Camera Center button so u can snap the camera back behind Spiderman to see whats in front of u. ANd since im not a huge graphics fan i wont even ding it for having the worst cut scenes ive ever seen on a HDTV. U know when a lil child shows u a pic of something they drew. THey tell u what it is and in ur mind u know thats not what that object looks like but since it's a child u smile and say very good. Well Activision isnt a toddler and they should be ashamed of the cutscenes in this game.
Maybe I'm still bitter about the disappointing movie SPiderman 3. So maybe im being too harsh on the game. Maybe i am. but please for the love of GOD rent this game before buying it. In my opinion this game is worst than Spiderman 2.

"best game ever", Do Not listen to anyone else. this is the best spiderman game of them all. the web spinning is still awesome, graphics are great, the crimes have never been better. all hail spiderman 3!!!
