"Realistic??? hardly"
Previous reviews stated this game was the most realistic game out. well ive been to baghdad and in combat your eyes always always move with your sights. there is a "feature" on this game that moves your weapon within your current view is unrealistic and annoying. in my opinion completly ruining the game. it makes you feel like your playing an old shooter from NES days. save your money learn from my mistake.

"The worst game EVER!!!!!!!"
I was given this lousy game as a gift. So thank God I didn't waste my money on it. This game has more issues than Microsoft. The game has had numerous patches put out already and the darn game isn't 6 months old. I've read literal hundreds of posts on dozens of forums about people with the same problems. Most deal with start up problems and crashes. I've had this game for about a month and have spent at least 3 weeks fighting to just get the darn game to load and start. Graphics are fair at best and the content sucks big time.

Don't waste your money on this lousy game!!!!

I believe this game will go down as one of, if not the biggest failure in gaming history.

"Don't Buy this game"
This game is bugged out, I downloaded the patch which didn't really help.
My computer is maxed out and up to date and still the graphics in this game were sub-par.

Theres alot more better First person shooter games to get.

"Arma"
I purchased this game thinking it would be a great game as a first person shooter but was extremely disappointed. I completed two missions and had no idea how I did it. The graphics are not that good. I was disappointed is the quality of the play and graphics. It is no DOOM or Ghost Recon. I wish I hadn't spent the money on this game.

"Not a Good Buy"
I recently bought this game. I felt I paid way to much. The graphics are on par with the orginal Delta force. The gameplay is week. Frustrating enemy ai will snipe you from miles away with an ak. Along with many other problems. The voice acting is bad, and the story is weak. Over all only buy if you want a very hard challenge and its in a bargian ben.

What our customer's say!

"Great game", This game is very underrated. Very realistic, even better with a few mods. Good graphics if you can run it with everything turned up, but it still looks decent even with low settings. And with a built in editor, and Online play the possibilities are endless. Just go on youtube and look it up. Lots of videos that show what its all about. Or just download the demo and try it.

"Sooo Disappointed.", Sadly enough, I didn't like the demo and originally decided not to get the game. The in vehicle graphics leave a lot to be desired. I have maxed out the graphics and all other settings and it is easier to tolerate. Based upon all the hype I heard, against my previous judgment, I purchased it at a highly discounted price THANK GOD. I listened to all the fluff from friends who told e if I loved Operation Flash Point, which I did, that the full version of the game is much better. The movement of the troops is quite bothersome and does not resemble actual movement unless you are talking about a bowel movement (at least when they are walking crouched). The pasted facial expressions are so in line with the predecessor. I had a lot of high hopes for this game since I loved the previous releases but I can't really see much improvement over the previous except controls are more user friendly when it comes to joystick support. It strikes me as a prettier remake of the first with a different story line. Even though I loved the first and I like the promise of new equipment, the flashback factor made me decide not to play it any further. For someone new to the Genre this may keep them satiated but to a seasoned FPS player, there are better titles out. The Battlefield Series has more realistic movement as does Call of Duty 4. I chose to go back to that realm in lieu of continuing to try to like this title.

"Great Game", I purchased this game because I enjoyed Operation Flashpoint thouroughly. This game did not disappoint. From the training missions to the campaigns, This game maintained my interest. It is not just a shoot-em-up. Rather, Arma requires strategy and patience as well as a steady aim. This, I feel, is the game's true appeal. While it is not flashy like a Halo3, it is more engaging and dynamic. True, there were some tedious parts of the game, but the missions, weapons, vehicles, and characters were all beautifully rendered and realistic.

Arma did require some tweaking on my part in order to minimize buggy graphics--Yes, it is a resource hog. I use Windows XP. The reported bugs have not diminished my enjoyment of Arma. I have not played Arma online, though, because I played it while on deployment, but I look forward to doing so soon.

I will get tons of play with Arma, thanks to the mission editor. I would purchase this game again and again. Four stars for the dazzling, yet heavy Arma.

"Not as fun as Flashpoint", I was a big fan of Operation Flashpoint. I eagerly awaited ARMA, I even upgraded my computer months ahead of schedule in anticipation of ARMA. Only to find out all the Vista bugs that plagued this game. I downloaded patches, read troubleshooting pages, and entered in maxmem 512 code. But it is still buggy,

When it does work it doesn't work well, Single player the feels more like Call of Duty 3 due to the limitations in this game, there is no room for creativity.

Relief does not seem likely as Atari doesn't recognize the Vista issues. BI Studio I think has moved on to ARMA II.

"have no idea, wont even start", absolute junk, installed and had to download a 322mb patch from the start. Looks like they put this POS on the market way before testing was complete. Now that I have the upgraded version, I can not get past the load, always crashes. I have tried starting from the auto run, and says the disc is not in the drive, even though it just auto ran, lol. I have tried through the start menu, and every time, just crash. I have a dell XPS pent D, 3 ghz, 3 gigs of 667 ram, dual DVD drives, XFI sound card, and geforce pci-e 7900 GS. Running XP PRO.My system is more than capable of running this game, just crappy software design, complete waste of time and money, they should be ashamed of themselves putting out such a terrible product, just lost my business.

"Very real play", Game is more like real combat than any other game lately. Making it drawn out on occasions and very had to get through certain levels.
That being said, that is what also makes the game good at times too.

"Exactly like Operation Flashpoint", If you loved Operation Flashpoint, then this is the exact same game with extremely minor graphics upgrades. I was mildly entertained. The soldiers run like rag dolls and the vehicles are not truly simulated. This game is too much arcade and too little sim.

"Updated Review. ", What made me write this review was the fact that most of the updates I red here are largely out of date. Since it's shaky release and several patches the game is much smoother and many problems have been fixed. The modding community is now very active and there are literally hundreds of addons to try, with many more on the way. If you were a fan of the orginial operation flashpoint, or the orginial Ghost Recon you will love this game.
The only disappointment is the single player campign. But this game really shines when you play cooperative multiplayer with close like-minded freinds who enjoy the kind of realism ArmA offers.

"Fantastic Military Sim with Tons of gameplay variety", If you feel as if the campiness and over-sized weaponry of other FPS games are getting just a bit repetitive and old, check out this game. Fly an AH-1Z Cobra, take pot-shots from the turret of an M1 Abrams, or engage in deadly special operations behind enemy lines, disrupting activities and blowing up their bases. It is also one of the few new FPS games to include cooperative multiplayer, which, combined with their easy-to-use mission editor where you can modify missions on the fly while your team is waiting in queue for the next mission, the ability to import in maps from OFP and user-made vehicles (search around...the mod community is already active), allows for some really fun teamplay online.

"ArmA: Combat Operations", I'm pretty much satisfied with this game to the max. The extensive realism and multiplayer/campaign is extremely fun. It's takes awhile to get use to but after that it's all fun. I recommend anyone that wants to play a realistic military simulation to play this game.
